  1. Outside of you and me George, waysider somewhat, were the only ones playing right now. If someone else came across this trivia, I think they may see it right away. Okay, you got two, but there are two really obvious movies that I know we use on the other threads all the time. I'll hold out another day or two and if you or someone else doesn't get it I'll move on.
  2. Not sure about Karate KId, George? It could be though, maybe you're right. Been three days now, you could check? ''re
  3. That's it. "I read the news today oh boy Four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire"
  4. Stealing Harvard Nightmare Alley Burn After Reading There's Something About Mary Flirting With Disaster The Visitors Kajillionaire God's Pocket Killing Them Softly Step Brothers Hall Pass
  5. My clue may have led you astray George. Michael Douglas didn't win an Oscar for acting. He did win it for his part (directing, production, writing; et cetera) in the movie.
  6. Sorry George, but you're getting way off track. Sylvester Stallone has never won an acting Oscar and Shelly Duvall either. Your off with Five Easy Pieces. Karen Black no Oscar winner. Hint: Michael Douglas won an Oscar for his part in one of the movies.

  8. I was thinking it was Joan Jett, not that it matters now, but I was really thinking of Pat Benatar. I get them mixed up sometimes. "Everybody's doing a brand new dance now"

  10. I am? Okay Name the actor. Stealing Harvard Nightmare Alley Burn After Reading
  11. Then it was just for you WordWolf. That's it.
  12. "As Good As It Gets" is another one, but I thought you would have given the other movie George, with the same actor in it, instead of this one for the answer. I just looked at the list. Man, there are some good movies on it! Big Classic movies.
  13. You got one George. It Happened One Night. There were two pictures in the late 70's, one of which everyone who watches movies should recognize. The last picture to win both Best Acting awards (male lead and female lead) was a comedy and a drama. That happened 25 yrs. ago. I don't like that word dramedy. Anyhow, here's a clue that may help you. In both of those pictures, the same male actor won the leading Best Actor Oscar for both pictures. Big clue I think.
  14. Hey, I didn't intent for this to be (if it is?) that hard of a trivia question. If I was asked this question, I know I could come up with the three I need to take this round. Interestingly, not that far back, we discussed a couple of these Awarding winning movies on some other threads. So anyway, I may pop in a clue or two if someone needs them.
