  1. This thread must include the singers or the bands name with the title. A cover band or artist, waysider, is alright as long as it has received some play time on a mainstream radio station. You know like, ~Pearl Jams~ version of "Last Kiss" originally recorded by Wayne Cochran in 1961.
  2. They were having some sound mixing issues, the guitar was interfering with the vocals. Early 70's, came with the territory. I never got to see them in concert but I've always been a fan of their music.
  3. You got it. The name is just Mr. Jones.
  4. No. I'll give you another clue. "Smiling in the bright lights, coming through in stereo When everybody loves you, you can never be lonely Well, I will paint my picture Paint myself in blue and red and black and gray All of the beautiful colors are very, very meaningful Yeah well, you know, gray is my favorite color I felt so symbolic yesterday, if I knew Picasso I would buy myself a gray guitar and play"
  5. So just for the record George, who was that guy? The guy behind the counter at the AM/PM? I have no idea who Priscilla Barnes is by the way?
  6. I'm guessing you're still up waysider. No one got the last song.
  7. Sorry for the delay. Let's pick it up again with: "Smiling in the bright lights, coming through in stereo When everybody loves you, you can never be lonely Well, I will paint my picture Paint myself in blue and red and black and gray All of the beautiful colors are very, very meaningful"
  8. Time Won't Let Me (Wait that long) ~The Zombies~ `
  9. And, then there's "Rubber Soul". And then "Revolver". And then "Sgt. Pepper".
  10. Of course, some would consider "Revolver" to be the ultimate Beatles album and in which case, would this be Tomorrow Never Knows? I could also be completely off track too. Beatles ologist's opinion's will vary about which Beatles album is their best album. If I'm allowed two guesses my second guess would be She Said She Said.
  11. After seeing those lyrics and reading the title of it (maybe that's not the title mentioned in waysider's post, but it's close) I can probably figure out who the group was, but it's going to take me a little time. Right now, though, I can't place the group. I think I can get it, if time doesn't run out. Good boogie song, good beat. Not ~Paul Revere~, not ~The Grass Roots~, maybe ~The Yardbirds~?
  12. Only song that comes to mind is "She's Leaving Home" Sgt. Pepper.
  13. How about some more lyrics to this song Waysider, please.
  14. Waysider, we seem to be at a standstill, would you mind leaving a couple more song lyrics?
  15. I don't know, is a quote from a Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn movie from 1963, considered easy or not? It's "Charade". End quote of the movie. Audrey Hepburn is in the office of (Brian Cruikshank (alias Peter Joshua, Alexander Dyle, and Adam Canfield) Cary Grant who proposes to her. Hense the line. I'll open this up to a FREE POST.
  16. Dermot Mulroney Point of No Return Bridget Fonda
  17. I saw an episode of Modern Family featured I think Ray Liotta accompanying one of the cast members to Barbra Streisand's estate, but she wouldn't meet him and only spoke on the intercom.
  18. That was a line from the song George. Ma! Waysider's post, not sure.
  19. Where have I been that I missed this post? I would have definitely got it.
  20. Finally, someone I know. Stuck On You Greg Kinnear Flash of Genius
  21. Did this confuse anyone? If so, sorry, but all I'm going to say is that it's the only thing she could do half right and it's turning out all wrong.
