  1. THANKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKS everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!

It went well, as far as I know. They said they'd let me know this week. It's now supposed to last through June or July (good pay but no benefits).

    Letting go and letting God.

    Thanks,

  3. O,

I will put you on my prayer list until further notice that you don't need it anymore for increased sales. I will pray that the seeds you have been sowing will bring in your harvest soon and that you will find more fertile soil in the meantime to sow more and new seeds.

Also, will pray for you to be peaceful and will be able to relax while waiting....

    Take care,

    WB

  4. Too Gray said: I know you asked specifically for some understanding about the Book of Rev. In that regard, I am sure my posts are a total disappointment. All I want to do is point to a path you can take that may have been forbidden to you in the past.

Hi again. Actually, I haven't been too concerned (as in not at all) what anyone thought about what I've read for at least 20 years, now. LOL! But, I think I get your point about being more led by the spirit more instead of by our brain. Yes, I agree. The problem could be that I've never asked the Lord to teach me the book of Rev and maybe I just answered my own question about why the answers haven't come. Hummmmm.

Thanks. Maybe that is a question. Why haven't I asked?

  5. Todd,

You said: ...in TWI, we were more like kids pretending to be superheroes, jumping on the bed with bath-towels for capes and brooms for swords. Some of us even fell off and bumped our head. But too few of us ever really stepped outside (doctrinally).

    Thanks. That was pretty good.

What do I think that you know about the book of Rev? I have no clue what you know. From your post, you sounded like you thought you understood it. I don't know if you do or not. With Rev, there are so many people writing about it, I basically haven't read ANY (except for blurbs here and there by various and sundry writers who seem to all come at it from different angles) for that very reason. They can't all be right and I doubt if they all are completely wrong. For me, I like to at least think that the guide knows where he's going before I hire him to take me on a trip. Yes, the comforter is the best guide, and I suppose I'll just keep waiting until something rings true. I haven't been urged to delve into anyone's material on that subject...and not because I don't want to understand it. One of the reasons I took PFAL was because I wanted to understand Rev. Pretty funny, huh?

This wasn't meant to be confrontational, just answering your questions or comments as honestly as possible.

  6. Too Gray,

Well, I don't GET any of it except the verse about the first love and also I love to read about Jesus and what he looks like with the white hair and flame for eyes and the white horse he's coming back on...that must be an awesome thing to behold.

  7. Me neither. I believe the HS has attributes of both genders. That's why (I think) God took out part of Adam and made Eve because before this occurred, Adam was both. By taking part of his attributes out and depositing them into another being, that made him cleave to Eve because he needed what she had in order for him to be whole.

(not intended to be a teaching, but I heard someone teach this one time and I think it makes sense)

CW, you are loved and you have the right to express yourself anyway you would like (at least to me). Ha!

  8. To me, the ministry was the people, not the "leadership" so I would say the same as pappajohn that I've forgiven all of them a long time ago and hope they've forgiven me.

Then I'd ask, "Would you like to meet Jesus?" He'd like to meet you, I feel sure....

  9. (((DOT)))

I know how it feels because I would give anything to not work with the analytical side of my brain and do something warm and fuzzy...but it doesn't look like that is going to happen for me right now, either. I just ask Him for the strength to jump in there and do it again.

    Love,

  10. Colleen,

    Thank you!

    Everyone,

Good news. I have a job interview Tues. at 1pm to do a maternity leave position as a CSR for a nationally known company through a temp agency.

The pay is very good and it would be 6-8 wks. That will put some bread on the table for a while, anyway. I would be talking to the company's customers who actually market the products, not the public. This is a very technical position, but I'm sure I can learn it.

Thanks for continuing the prayers. When I got the call, tears came to my eyes because I know my little GS buddies have been praying for us.

    Thanks again,

    WB

  11. THANK YOU, Ex10. I wrote myself a note and then forgot to look at the note this morning.

    Praying now...

  12. Alf, Raf, oldies,

No, it was apparent from listening to FP's teachings that he didn't believe regarding salvation the way that we were taught but that doesn't stop some people from borrowing the parts that they like.

But, SOME of his stuff, as Alfakat said, sounded like it came right out of PFAL and then the night he started teaching out of JCOP I was finally CONVINCED it wasn't a coincidence (I haven't listened to him in years so don't know what he preaches now).

But, he's someone who, how do I say this, didn't seem inclined to give credit to others, either....at least he didn't any of the times I listened to him.

Alf, sorry, but I'd never heard of Dr. Martin until you mentioned him so sure that could be a possibility, too.

  13. Thank you, evvvvvveryone for joining us in praying for a breakthrough!

Since I don't really know what I want to do, I'm wideopen. Please ask the Lord to give me what He wants me to have (I'm sorry I can't do better and be more specific right now...I'm really good at English and have very good computer skills but, my major desire is to have a job in which I can come home at night and say, "Boy, I really helped _________ today."

    Love,

  14. They used to live in Indy, but I have no clue where they live now. It's been about 3 yrs. now since I've heard their name mentioned by anyone I know here. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

  15. Sir Guess,

How did you learn to understand the Revelation of Jesus Christ? I am SO lost in that book. I understand that verse about having lost our first love (thank God I'm not there anymore...cried like a baby right there in church when I went to my first church service after leaving a splinter group and that verse was read).

Can you recommend a book that I can read to help me navigate in that unfamiliar territory?

  16. Well, I'm probably not gonna get too many people to agree with me on this one because I wouldn't classify it as a loving show, but I like to watch Raymond because it makes me laugh!

So, since laughing is therapeutic (here's my reasoning), then it is being loving to myself to watch it!

I think it's because our response is totally up to us, not out of our control.

    Ex10,

You just reminded me of why people lift holy hands during praise and worship...because it's a universal sign of surrender.

  18. Roy, I think you've gotit!! Yes, giving in to peer pressure.

Lightside, yep, the HS has ministered the most to me right in my own prayer closet, too, right here in my own home. Thanks for bringing that up because I thought about that earlier too.

  19. Roy, your post is so SWEET and LOVING! THANK YOU! Yes, I believe FATHER GOD grades us on a curve just to get us saved! Wow! What a concept.

And, that mud pie analogy. Yes, I believe He does reward us with ice cream.

  20. Roy,

Agreed. I'm not sure why some people DO fake it, are you? It's not something I'm inclined to do, but who knows? Maybe they think they're supposed to DO something because it's not happening for them (talking about people getting ministered to, not those ministering). I'm not inclined to judge them for that because they have to give an account of their own lives and I've probably done worse in other areas of mine.
