Wasn't it JR? He was in Dallas at the time.

I also came across this verse when I started reading the Amplified Version (which is one of the versions that I use). I use several different versions. I always wondered why we weren't supposed to use any other than KJV.

Are you having a party? Are we invited? Is this why we're starting early?

Rick, that's the name of the song (Sunday Morning Sunshine) it's on "Sniper and Other Love Songs" as well...
For those of you without any (or enough) Harry Chapin in your collection, get the double CD, it has most of his stuff... both well known and obscure...
That is one of my favorites also Rick. BTW, I have the double CD called Harry Chapin Greatest Stories Live.

Hubby walked through and said Jim Croce without knowing if clue or not.
I saw a show on PBS the not long ago on him. His widow and son were selling the video.

Sunshine On My Shoulders
by John Denver
Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high
If i had a day that i could give you
I'd give to you a day just like today
If i had a song that i could sing for you
I'd sing a song to make you feel this way
Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high
If i had a tale that i could tell you
I'd tell a tale sure to make you smile
If i had a wish that i could wish for you
I'd make a wish for sunshine all the while
Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high
Sunshine almost all the time makes me high
Sunshine almost always

Definately Mary Steenburgen, whom I have been told I resembled (when I had long hair).

Things that go bump in the night?
Sorry, that was me. I was trying to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night and kicked the cat.

story about a town called Zion, Illinois, which was basically run by a religious sect. These people supposedly believed that the earth was flat and the sun was 30 miles from the earth and that you could get arrested for swearing on Sunday and that as recently as 1948 the Illinois Highway Patrol would actually warn motorists about this town. I've never heard anything about this town outside of that book.On New Year's Day 1900, John Alexander Dowie announced to the church he had established in 1896, the Christian Catholic Apostolic Church, that he planned to build a utopian city on a tract of land at the extreme northeastern edge of Illinois.
When Zion City was incorporated in 1902, 5,000 inhabitants joined the Christian utopia. Zion City was to be communitarian and theocratic, a place of Christian cooperation, racial harmony, and strict fundamentalist morals. Dowie desired that Zion City be free of crime and vice. Dowie instituted the “Zion City Lease,” which forbade gambling, theaters, and circuses, as well as the manufacture and sale of alcohol and tobacco. In addition, the lease banned pork, dancing, swearing, spitting, politicians, doctors, oysters, and tan-colored shoes. Whistling on Sunday was punishable by jail time. The ban against medical doctors reflected Dowie's belief in “divine healing.” Many of the original settlers in Zion City, primarily of Dutch, German, and Irish origin, had been attracted to the community because of Dowie's reputation as a “faith healer.”

I haven't had a chance to see it yet, but it's been in the Tampa/St. Pete area several times. I've only heard good things about it.

Neighborhood crime, or the perception that their neighborhood is unsafe, can keep residents from the exercise they need, U.S. researchers report.
Respondents who believed they lived in a low-crime neighborhood were 30 percent to 50 percent more likely to meet the U.S. Surgeon General's recommendations for physical activity than people who believed they lived in a high-crime neighborhood.
The study also found:
About 19 percent of respondents cited crime or fear for personal safety as a barrier to physical activity;
People who did not perceive crime or fear for personal safety as a barrier to physical activity were about 40 percent more likely to meet physical activity recommendations;
There was no difference between men and women in terms of associations between levels of physical activity and perceptions of neighborhood crime or fear for personal safety.
I guess the people in the survey never heard of exersize videos or gyms.

None of the above. It's the chorus of Captain of Salvation by Brian Bliss.
