1. Moony

I dont remember that show...What is the Merge show? I have never seen that one. what time/channel please:) Sounds interesting.

Merge is on Lifetime Real Women channel Merge

It's about a newlywed couples with different tastes and different furniture that doesn't go with each other moving in with each other after the wedding. The crew sends the couple away and redecorates the house, using (and changing) the furniture plus extra touches. The stuff that they don't use they either give away or distroy in a wood chipper.

I made a mistake about the other show. The real name was Men in Toolbelts. It was about a couple of queers that had a how-to show. If you ever knew real carpenters (or are one), this show was hilarious, if not you might even take the show seriously.

  2. Aww... I know you guys don't hate classical music.. it just ain't your thang so to speak. But I'm in the middle of fiddling around with a tarantela for posting. Uh, anyone familiar with the term? I hope not... it'll be more fun when I post it later.

Sorry, not all of us are "uncouth". In fact, I'm going to a concert put on by the Florida Symphony this Sunday. And yes, I am familiar with tarentela. In days of old, it was thought that if one was bitten by the spider, doing the tarentela would cure the person, cause they would work themselves up in a frenzy while dancing.

  3. It's Beautiful!

    It's the Perfect Temperature!

The Orange Blossoms are Blooming and the earth smells like sweet perfume.....

    :love3:

I've been sleeping with the windows open and the a/c off and enjoying every minute of it!!

I just dread the hot Florida summer that I know will follow.

    But for now,

    I'm basking in the sun,

    inhaling the perfume and

spending as much time outdoors as I possibly can.

It is beautiful, isn't it Belle! Shorts & t-shirt weather. You forgot the smell of jasmine and the sound of music jammin in the background.

  4. Dear moony,

Omigoodness, yes, you know what it is like! Were you able to get a decent diagnosis right away? I would liken the fatigue, pain, and brain confusion to what it's like to be, er, hit by a car! And I am hoping that this accident doesn't trigger another relapse. Deep cleansing breaths, Shazzie...

I have spoken to many people who have been on a PICC or central line for IV antibiotics. Did you feel your health turn around suddenly, or gradually? I hope you are doing well now. I am currently maintaining a pretty good level of health, and just take a few vitamins and supplements to support that. It also doesn't hurt that I'm back into decent shape (or I was, until yesterday ).

No, I didn't get the diagnosis at first, that's mostly why I was in the hospital so long. As far as the PICC line, it was a gradual thing. I was exhausted all the time, but still tried to overdo it, cause I didn't want to just sleep all the time. I had to use a walker, because of weakness and dizziness. I had visual problems and mostly read from the computer using the magnification feature on 2x -3x. When I had to write or read, I used a magnifying glass, which I kept in my purse. Of course, I couldn't drive, which was very frustrating, as I value my freedom.

I believe I got the tick bite while hiking in the woods when I was on vacation in Alabama. Now, whenever I go up there, I wear long pants, socks, and a long shirt (I would wear shorts, no socks, and a tank top before.)

I'm healthy now and cherish each day of health.

  5. Happy Birthday Shaz!!!

Getting serious. I know first hand how horrible living with Lyme Disease is. I had that (in addition to other things) a few years back. After 2 weeks in the hospital, I had to inject myself for the next month with antibiotics through a site that went straight to my heart (to better pump it through my body). It took quite a long time before I was symptom-free. In the meantime, I ended up losing my job because I was unable to work.

  6. Socks that is awesome. Especially around the 25-26 mark and growing from there. Oh yeah! Nice, real nice!

Kathy I couldn't have said it better! Socks, you are amazing!

  7. Which is why we need Ted to help us with the rest of the words...somebody gots to have a copy on an old tape somewhere! Please? It's bugged me for years to not remember all the words.

Good news and bad news. First the good news. Ted does have the tape & words. Now the bad news. He's in the middle of packing his house to move and has already packed all the tapes.
