TheInvisibleDan
Did anyone else catch this newer version of Stephen King's "Salem Lot" on TNT the past couple nights, starring Rob Lowe, Rutger Hauer, and Donald Sutherland? I thought it was very well done. A lot more deeper and creepier than the older version. I think it's going to be on again throughout the week. Highly recommended! I'm going to tape it this time around.
Raf
I disagree: it's got some genuinely scary moments, but the suspense is poorly sustained. The ending is muddled, and Rob Lowe's voiceovers are generally distracting. I keep watching the end trying to figure out what happened. For the life of me I don't get it. Steve!
I'm with Raf on this one. I saw bits and pieces last night, and the ending could definitely use some work.
Refiner
I find it hard to imagine that anything could surpass the Tobe Hooper/ David Soul version.
