  1. Thanks for the heads up on 'Mr. Rogers' socks. I've heard about a lot of people that embelished thier records and even went as far as getting medals that they were not entitled to, like the Purple heart, Medal of Honor and other medals that they got Illegaly.

  2. Hey Danteh, I hear they want to revoke your WOW pin because the car you drive doesn't have enough rust to qualify for a WOWmobile. :biglaugh:

Of course, giving 20% will open up the floodgates for you to get it back.... :evildenk:

    *Enjoy the truck!*

I gave up my WOW status a long time ago, like right after I left.

And as far as them getting 'ANY' money from me would be like wishing in one hand and s***ing in the other hand.

Would like to see them giving back the time that I spent on the WOW field and the money I could have made during that time. But I know it would be like spitting into the wind and LCM did enough for all of us.

1 thing that I forgot to add about the truck is that it is Ported Fuel Injected

  3. Thanks a Million Shellon.

Have the Blue Plate Steak special off the GS menu for the help.

Don't know why it wouldn't post, course i was using the attachment upload feature when you post a reply.

Maybee the pics I take on my new digital camera are too big for the upload size.

    but thanks again shellon.

  4. I thought that everyone might like to see a pic of my new "play toy" that I got last October.

It's a 1995 Dodge Dakota SLT, rear wheal drive, 318 Magnum V8 motor. Power Stearing. power brakes, power door locks and windows and a AM-FM cassette radio, and a bed liner to boot. Got it for $3500 with just a few miles over 100,000.

  5. Another "little known fact" about Mr. Rogers.

Did you know that he was in the service in WW2? He was the marine version of the Navy Seal and was one of the people who landed on Iwo Jima when they landed and was wonded and got a medal.

He also wore the long sleaved shirts and sweaters to cover the tattos that he incurred while in the service. This was a fact that I didn't know untill about a year or so ago.

  6. Law firms also use LEXIS for research finding law cases. LEXIS cites are now commonplace in briefs. There was another search engine for law cases, I forget what it is called now, our firm doesn't use it anymore.

This was about '98 I had a lawyer look up TWI lawsuits in Ohio. There were quite a few, mostly TWI being sued, some by "disgruntled" followers. I think there was one guy, my memory is hazy, maybe someone else will remember, who was disabled and had given most of his money to TWI and his family sued to get it back. When I was on staff, they had a staff attorney. Obviously, they had enough to keep a TWI "in-house" attorney working full time with a secretary. They had a falling out, he left in the early '80s.

    Sunesis

If it is the same case on the disabled guy, from what I remember when I was living at Emporia there was a guy that was injured in an auto accident coming to fellowships. What little I remember It was around the time that belivers were taking up a collection to get VP some kind of expensive car, can't remember what kind, but I think that they talked the guy into giving a large chunk of money to help get the car for VP. I think that they told him that if he gave the money that he would get some kind of healing. It was possibly part of his settlement money on the accident that he was injured in that he gave to help get possible healing.

But I'm like you. The details are hazy from that long ago, about 30 years ago.

  7. Just wanted to let the members of GSC know that I finally updated my profile and added a picture of me.

Now since I don't have a digital camera yet, and don't use my webcam online, I thought that I would use my webcam to take a picture of myself to add to my profile.

Please be nice, I know that I don't take a very good picture as I used to when I was in High School or when I was in the service ( I was a lot younger then and had a lot more hair that wasn't as grey as it is now ).

I added it to let you all know what i look like and to let the people lilke Littlehawk know what I look like now about 27 yrs after TWI.

  8. Welcome to the Cafe Tex.

There are a lot of great people here and lots of great fellowship to boot.

I've been out for 33 years this last November myself.

Just remember, the coffee is always hot and the food and fellowship always 'top notch'

  9. If you do a 'GOOGLE' search of 'THE WAY' you come up with quite a few different items found.

To me 'TWI' seems to go after groups that they think they can 'bully' or have a fair chance of winning a lawsuit over.

True the term 'The Way' comes out of the verse 'I am the WAY....ect.' but boy, I wonder how the TWIt's can think that they have 'Bragging' rights and Copyrights on something that was said about 2000 years ago by Jesus? If anyone had ownership of the 'The Way' name it's Jesus.

First come 1st served in my book. They should be paying Jesus royalties if it's possible to do it.

  10. George Aar

I'll have to remember that one for the next tellemarketing call.

    It was a real hoot.

I remember seeing a show about a political humorist that during the time when Richard M. Nixon was going to be nominated for president, The man sent 8 pregnent women into the arena where the delegates were. Each woman was wearing a political sized button (about 3 to 4 inches in diameter) saying "Nixon's The One".

  11. And How do you tell the bride at a Polish wedding??

She is the only one with the braided armpits.

Since I'm mostly German by ancestory.....

What do you call a grouchy German??

    A Sour-Kraut

  12. Hey Sudo

If you needed help with the tree, I would have been very willing to help.

I used to be known in the service (32 to 33 years ago) for putting away my share. Course you did have all the fun on getting to put the star on the last on on the top. AND BOY, not even knocking any off and all nice and neet too.

  13. Belle, I don't know where you came up with this one................................................but it's D*MN cute.

took me about 2 minutes to quite laughing so hard so that I could respond.

But I don't think that Mr. H could be that windy. At least not that way.

    Thanks for the post

  14. I think that the rechargable blender would go good with my stock of home brewed rum.

A little rum, some fresh coconut milk, a lot of ice and a nice "chilled" extra tall glass to put it in...........................OOOOOOPPPPPPPPPSSS!

Sorry about that :redface2: , Guess i got a little carried away.

    BAD danteh1 BAD BAD :evildenk:
