The presumption of innocence – being innocent until proven guilty,
Ham replied to WhiteDove's topic in About The Way
maybe what I'm trying to say.. you seem to confuse OPINIONS with VERDICTS. they really are not the same.. are opinions valuable? Yes. Are verdicts? I would say generally, yes.. but are OPINIONS and verdiicts.. are they supposed to be one and the same? generally- no. So a RESPONSIBLE individual.. takes what one is presented with.. and pursues truth. -

If it makes any difference.. I'm more than glad he and offspring found a living with financial consultation and such.. I't's just.. there are a few "dead bodies" in the closet he's got to deal with. And I'm not going to chase him down to deal with it.. sorry. -

unless.. you have something PERSONALLY involved here.. well.. just a thought.. well.. if you happen to see K*rt.. I'm sure he'd remember me with the few details I've given. I don't care to go through the CES (or STFI) hoops to contact him. West Virginia. Bluefield, 1976. There were not many of us there.. only three or four. I'm sure he can remember.. -

Maybe you don't "get it".. sheesh.. it's the INTERNET.. I mean.. we have Wiki's that ANYBODY in the whole WORLD can edit.. and you're looking for truth, justice, and the American Way ( excuse me.. whatever that is any more) here?? you find offense.. in an OPINIONATED forum.. sorry.. it just seems kind of.. Juvenile. a little forum, a little, itty bitty place.. out in the great expanse.. it just does not make a whole lot of sense to me.. -

I would view it as a golden "opportunity".. if one has access to the lives of these (allegedly, in the "court" of public opinon judged as sycophants or worse) as to ask the HARD questions.. "what about the allegations of sexual misconduct".. abuse.. etc.. see.. I wouldn't exactly throw it all away.. simply because of the media it happens to present itself.. I would suggest.. because you claim to have kept up some kind of communication with the "accused".. that you are horrifically fearfull to ask the "hard questions".. maybe you can't even rationally consider the consequences of the answer.. -

It's like.. the claims "this is the INTERNET.. I won't BELIEVE (blindly) the claims of others.." isn't that kind of.. what can I call it.. not "immature".. what's the word I'm looking for.. maybe it's "obvious".. or "overstated".. -

just a thought.. if at GS you find that vp, howard, et al are being "convicted" by public opinion.. why do you even care? I mean.. the site itself claims that opinions belong to those who present them.. um.. this includes opinions of jt.. walter, gear, and others.. offshoots.. it's like the Wiki's.. why can't one read what's written.. and take it with a grain of salt? While wikipedia often gives one point of collaboration.. some nice information.. I wouldn't use it for a documentable SOURCE for a RESEARCH PAPER.. but it does have some value. maybe it gives me a place to look.. or a motivation to look further.. or ask the "hard" questions.. -
the ONLY SINGLE friggin difference.. is the technology.. so they put "pfal" on streaming audio on the internet or something.. it's the SAME STINKING STUFF.. the only "exciting" thing is they have some new media to record it with.. nicer looking syllabi.. prettier looking fonts.. da way oughter get a clue.. put "legitimate" copies of pfal up on Ebay.. "oooh, oooh... I can download and put it on an Ipod.." OK. I think I'm done, for the moment..
-
Even the offshoots repackage it..
-
and they run the classes in the same rooms.. the same people.. everything is practically the same.. same "students".. fifty and sixty some year olds, who have had the same teaching in a more primitive package.. over thirty years ago.. it must be hard to act "excited" to hear the same junk repackaged fifty different ways..
-
Has herr vey.. or classes actually changed? I don't think so.. they "recycle" the old classes.. and it translates to more money, more "activity".. more useless review of what one paid for long long ago.. again, and again and again.. and the classes are not free to grads of the old classes.. but they consist of the same "prevailing" "junk".. just repackaged.. only way they can sell it I guess..

Yep.. maybe he was the master lemming..
-
God bless you brother..
-
Yep. Well.. what can one say.. rodents will inherit the earth.. I just hope they have something worth inheriting..
-
Well.. technically.. there may have been a difference between between.. 1. Being witnessed to (?) and sitting in a class, IN Beaver Creek.. and.. 2. ACTUALLY BEING a RESIDENT of Beaver Creek.. sorry.. been one of those nights..
-
yeah.. I remember something like that..
-
I've driven through Beaver Creek.. it's mostly haughty taughty (sp?) neighborhood.. I ask myself.. "who is going to rent a high class place for a mogwanabe".. who knows.. won't last very long.. or much longer..
-
People are Strange.. when you're a stranger.. faces look ugly.. when your'e alone.. the movie ended with this song..
-
Sorry.. it just happened to be one of my favorite movies.. you know.. life imitates art or something..
-
so.. what happened to jt.. (I'm trying to stay on topic here :)) did he MOVE ON.. or consciously CHOOSE to simply take advantage of his "recommendation" by herr fuhrer.. excuse me, the "mog".. one of the paths do indeed end up in what they call a "dead end street".. I'd really like to know.. did he end up like one of the "lost boys".. you know.. stab the "master vampire" in the heart.. and then.. life goes on like "normal" or not.. it's a fair question..
-
I'd say it hasn"t changed, just changed the decor..
-
sooo... what happened to poor old jt? did he ever overcome his past, or fess up to it? or go on to greener ex-way pastures to sponge a living? Does he STILL sponge a living, teaching the SAME OLD STUFF.. with the same old "doc" vic mannerisms? or did he go to college.. get a job, or develop a career, get a life? or is he something like a thirty year old gerbil.. nothing remarkably (or unremarkably different) from year to year.. just a little more grey on top? When's the last time somebody checked for a pulse? hey.. it's an honest question here.. I was taught if you're not changing you're dying.. don't know how much stock to put it it though..
