  1. Ah God, the problem of the submission is one of the biggest cultural problems because the devil promotes rebellion among women. You know that we Mexicans are very machos, but to be a Way believer is different to be a macho, because you should love your wife like Christ love the church.

I always want to married a grad but the grads that were available were very entangles with the things of the world. One thing is that you are a grad the other is that you follow the standards. The commitment TWI ask is a very difficult task, very discipline, is not impossible to fulfilled buy you have to left a lot of things outside to live light. To leave how the Way wants to. It is very boring to confront the love one every time.

For I being reading the GSC women are very discipline and good believers, wonderful women of God. The husbands were the very mad, stupid ones, because they never appreciate what they have. I fell sorry for them .

  2. Nicely said Belle and very true.

Another thing I thought of regarding why some wierwillites won't respond and choose to ignore is fear. Being part of a cult and waybrained, they may have bought into the lie that those who don't buy into their beliefs are possessed!!! :asdf:

Like a little kid they'll put their hands over thier ears and say "I'm not listening, blah blah blah" or like an ostrich sticking it's head in the ground to avoid hearing anything that differs from their belief. Because they may think that if they listen, they might get possessed when in reality, in some cases it could be just the opposite. They could get set free, Jesus Christ taught the truth sets us free, well wrong doctrines can put you in bondage to a certain degree. I'll continue to pray for these folks in the hope they will see the truth and be set free.

I agree, they are afraid, think that if you do not respect VPW as the best of the best you are possessed. They do not know the truth of the facts neither the truth of God’s Word. It is very sad because they are our brothers and friends our love ones.

Also Belle always write very intelligent, sharp comments!. :D

  3. Sweet:

"I’m a bad girl and should be spanked" I think that you are wonderful, but if you realy want that some one spank you I volunteer. :redface2:

Well, you ALMOST got to their point.

    You operate APPLIANCES.

You switch them on and off. They are cold, lifeless tools.

That's how your MIND is supposed to be- a cold, lifeless tool.

That way, when terrible news arrives, you

"renew your mind", and throw the switch that separates

sorrow from your existence. Now you can function

again, just like an appliance. So, we'll see you on-time

    at the next meeting, then...

Life, in and of itself, is NOT permitted by twi.

Life has inconveniences, life is messy, life does not

conform to clockwork. twi doesn't like anything

that can't be told what to do, when to do it, and how

to do it. So, they legislate life right out of the picture.

    That reminds me-

if you are a twi'er, and the news that a friend died

made you very sad and filled you with remorse,

(especially now), many leaders will chide you for

    inept control over your emotions.

Contrast that to the shortest verse in the Bible....

    "Jesus wept."

That was Jesus' response when he heard his

    friend Lazarus had died.

Good thing Jesus was not in twi- but it's not

    like they miss him anyway.....

WW I thought that you were froze ?

  4. Well I went out because I get really angry and frustrated: For some years I have had big different point of views with my Country Coordinator. I want to do the things more like LCM said, to confront, but he did not what to do so because he does not speak English and does not studied the tapes just the Spanish tapes (one per month) and he want to support the slothful .

After we finished to run a The Way Class one of the believers of the household fellowship that I coordinate did a very stupid thing so I confront her and she did not like the confrontation so the Country Coordinator confront me but I was right. So I got mad and get out.

  5. Well, duh! I missed the call for recipes! :D I was thinking more about .....ahhhh.....well, not the food, I reckon. :redface2: ;)

    Salt

    Pepper

Mix and let flavors meld in fridge for about an hour - even better if made the day before

Slow Cooker Red Beans and Rice

This is the ultimate in thriftiness and convenience - beans in a slow cooker. The long, slow cooking time coaxes all the flavor from the sausage into the beans for a mild yet full-flavored dish. You can also cook in on low heat for 8 hours.

    3 cups water

1 cup dried red kidney beans

    1 cup chopped onion

1 cup chopped green bell pepper

    3/4 cup chopped celery

    1 teaspoon dried thyme

    1 teaspoon paprika

    3/4 teaspoon ground red pepper

    1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 (14-ounce) package turkey, pork, and beef smoked sausage, thinly sliced (such as Healthy Choice)

    1 bay leaf

    5 garlic cloves, minced

    1/2 teaspoon salt

3 cups hot cooked long-grain rice

    1/4 cup chopped green onions

Combine first 12 ingredients in an electric slow cooker. Cover with lid; cook on high heat for 5 hours. Discard bay leaf; stir in salt. Serve over rice; sprinkle servings evenly with green onions.

    Frozen Butterfinger Pie

40 chocolate graham crackers (10 full cookie sheets)

1 1/2 tablespoons butter or stick margarine, melted

    1 large egg white

    Cooking spray

4 cups vanilla fat-free frozen yogurt

    3 tablespoons light-colored corn syrup

    3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

    1 tablespoon fat-free milk

1 (2.1-ounce) chocolate-covered crispy peanut-buttery candy bar (such as Butterfinger), chopped

    Preheat oven to 350°.

Place graham crackers in a food processor; pulse until crumbly. Add butter and egg white; pulse until moist. Press crumb mixture into a 9-inch pie plate coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 8 minutes; cool on a wire rack 15 minutes. Freeze 15 minutes.

Remove yogurt from freezer, and let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes to soften. Spoon half of yogurt into prepared crust.

Combine the corn syrup, peanut butter, and milk in a small bowl, stirring until smooth. Drizzle half of the peanut butter mixture over the yogurt in crust. Sprinkle with half of chopped candy bar. Repeat the procedure with remaining yogurt, peanut butter mixture, and candy bar. Cover with plastic wrap, and freeze for 3 hours or until firm.

And, I always love the little weenies in the chili sauce/grape jelly stuff in the slow cooker, too.

I've got quite a few party favorites, but these are my mainstays.

Bruchetta is very simple, cheap & easy but tastes sooo good with fresh tomatoes and basil.

Bowls of green & black olives - add some kalamata olives if you want to get fancy. :)

Guacamole & chips are good (I have a recipe made with asparagus instead of avocados if you're interested)

  7. It always seemed to me that Romans 16:17 aimed at doctrinal issues and divisions, that would lead the churches Paul felt responsible for away from his teaching on salvation in the grace of Christ. Those entering the fold, "wolves" amongst the sheep.

I think "common sense" says that if someone is hurting people in a community it needs to be dealt with. Things like stealing, murder, rape - that doesn't need a doctrinal thesis to determine what to do about it, to me.

Paul seems to be addressing them in Romans 16:17 as he did in Galatians - hey, if they're teaching anything other than what I've taught you and leading people away from our doctrine, don't allow them free access to the group and stay away from them. The damage being done he's most concerned about is to what the people believe. I don't think there'd be any question in Paul's mind about how to handle someone who was doing real physical harm to people or at least I'd like to think so.

The M&A was a form of protection of the splinter groups, also used by the Geer´s splinters, in fact the common form of application is what you are saying socks, to protect the good doctrine. But what they really were protected was LCM presidency of TWI also to protect the girl problem or LCM sex problems and wrong doctrine. :spy:

  9. Velly Interesting.

I've spoken to several Muslims and Jews, who cannot ever consider becoming a Christian

because they are so offended with trying to make Jesus actually God. I can still remember

this one Muslim woman's eyes open so wide when I told her that I also didn't believe that

Jesus was God, but rather the son of God. She actually listened to me, and told me that

I was the first Christian she ever heard say that, and that she wanted to know more.

Not sure about every Muslim and Jew, but the ones I talked to in the past believed that

it was idolatry to make anyone God except just one God (not in 3 parts).

    As I said, velly interesting......

    Yes, very interesting.

Also we do not have to define Jesus or God the Word do so. And said: "Just One God" .

  11. *alters the quote to try to translate it*

I think that's roughly what themex was saying. I just did one of those paraphrases like

the "Living Bible" or whatever. Like them, my intention was to preserve the meaning.

For the most part, I agree with themex.

We DO have a responsibility for insulating the family from the WORST of

offenders. We can pray for people, try to help them, get them professional

help, sit with them and listen while they work thru problems, be there as

they struggle to overcome temptations or addictions or other things.

However, in some cases, the person is unwilling to change, or unable to

change. In those cases, we must remember as well that we have a

    responsibility to the other Christians.

Few people (outside of twi elite) would argue against removing criminals from

positions of leadership over other Christians. Keeping them around where they

can prey upon the people as a whole, however, is a different issue, and one

that should not be swept under the rug.

:D :eusa_clap: Very good translation! That is what I want to said. Thank you.
