  1. Maybe some like to stay in their little social circles and eat cookies twice a week....but most cannot deny the pathetic existence of trying to pimp for the way international.

Well said...At this point I am tempted to say that anyone who follows twi is without excuse...the truth of this organization is public and available...

The top leaders of twi know that their day is over...they are only protecting the assets in order to provide a cushy retirement for themselves...

  2. ...Trinity Schminity...who cares. The bottom line for me is that being a Christian and being in the "God business" are two different things entirely. I don't think that any organiztion that makes a paycheck selling God should be an exception to paying taxes. This church against that church isn't much different than coke versus pepsi or Republicans against Democrats...This was instilled in us when our high school football team was better than the rival town's team. Us versus them seems to be woven into the herd mentality.

...and what greater thrill is there to know that YOUR God is the true God...and the other guy is really worshipping some horned demon in disguise.

Truth is...most of these big time preachers are nothing more than carnival barkers hawking money. They lie through their teeth and they would steal Christ off the cross and come back for the nails...

I'm through with all of em...

  3. Here's an example from my memory - When the leaders of the Way West and the Way East respectivley, D*op and H*efner, left TWI in about 1972, VPW told those of us in the Corps they these men had copped out or tripped out or got deceived by devil spirits (these terms all amounted to the same thing). They'd turned their backs on the Way. The logic was the Way taught the Word, so that meant they'd turned their backs on The Word. And what should we do when someone does that? Obey what the Word tells us to do, like in I Timothy 1:20. In that verse, Paul says of two people who opposed him, that he "delivered unto Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme." Additional logic went like this: Since TWI taught God's Word accurately, God had his hand on TWI, so if you left TWI, then you left God's ministry.

...and was this true Christian behavior on the part of Wierwille? You follow ME or your screwed up?

Talk about an ego trip! ...and when you consider how Martindale conducted himself with the loyalty to me ultimatum...it was never about following God...it was all about them.

  4. I think this has been a fascinating thread. I see the bottom line to all of this as

    "making money in God's name"...

...As soon as a few folks get together (perhaps with good intentions), they decide to "Organize"of course this includes giving themselves a "name" and then hoisting a flag that requires the appropriation of funds...

Next thing you know it's a business that provides paychecks...I'm not so sure that this is what Christianity is really about.

...I find it to be a personal journey and not so much about organizations...but that's just me.

  5. Sure, they have the freedom to believe whatever they want.....4 crucified, 17 crucified, 32 denials, the dead are just taking a dirt nap, the moon is made of Brie, precious really means costly, blah, blah and more blah........ couldn't care less.....but when those beliefs begin to dictate life altering decisions made by their followers, we're talking about something entirely different.... Tragedy after tragedy as a direct result of L.E.A.D ( when it became apparent there were serious problems, did they rethink their strategy?).......Women strong-armed into abortions they regret for the rest of their lives.....people foregoing proper medical treatment and dying as a result of trying to prove the law of believing....people killing themselves because they were told they were born of the wrong seed and that all hope for salvation was gone.....etc. Oh, but, hey! You could bring in the Mormons, the "Dubs", the People's Temple and Islam if you choose. It would really be a red herring as far as I'm concerned..... These people (TWI) promote a lifestyle that is severely detrimental to their followers. And they (the BOD) have never offered any sort of apology.....That's the bottom line.

    A sentiment worth repeating...

The damage they did to people cannot be calculated...they destroyed lives...and they continue to this day.

  6. It's been over a year since I last looked at Cummin's website where he was selling research papers at at ridiculously high prices...can't find it now...BUT...here's a book that he's selling for about $175 bucks...

    http://catalog.ebay.com/Demonstrating-Gods-Power-Walter-J-Cummins-1985-Hardcover-/1291241?_fcls=1

correction..."somebody" is selling it for 175 bucks on Ebay...

    I'll keep looking...

  7. A very interesting topic indeed...

The reality of music, art and perhaps even the scriptures is that it's a two edged sword.

There's the rendering...the actual arrangement of the musical notes and the way they are played...

and the listener's perception of it.

I contend that two different people can listen to the same thing and perceive it differently.

...according to that person's own "being"...their collective experiences and who they are genetically.

Much of the bible is written to the individual...not the collective.

I believe that truth is truth...but that we all experience it differently.

  8. Wierwille's bridge to Nowhere consisted of a walkway that led away from individual growth and led to

groupthink...the loss of individuality in favor of Vic's ego. All paths led to the mog...

...and his his meat puppet Martindale was more of the same...

The bridge builder forgot to tell us that his bridge, that crossed the chasm, led to

    nowhere...

...and Chris Geer...you can blow it out your ear.

  9. The fact is...whatever they did to me personally is water under the bridge...After 13 years,

I walked away on my own...never looked back. I knew they were wrong and that was that.

The reason I still post after all this time is because they still exist...I am simply providing another "opinion" of what people are getting themselves involved with.

This is all about money, lifestyles and keeping the trains running on time...if they are reducedm to having no more than 7 followers...they will continue...why? because they need to meet the requirments of the IRS to maintain their tax exempt status and live off of the assets.

forgiveness?...they have not repented nor will they...they need to be shut down...not forgiven

  10. Thinking in terms of twi's bod asking for forgiveness is almost an oxymoron.

I make no assumptions whatsoever that these people even care...or are even Christians

...or for that matter, are even sane. When I consider the very nature of this organization...

can good fruit grow from a bad tree? Perhaps it would be more "biblical" to quote the words of Jesus when he confronted the counterfeit religious leaders..."Ye are of your father, the devil"

...and isn't THAT the "unforgivable sin"... :evildenk:

  11. Adolph's closed? Now I REALLY wouldn't go back to New Knoxville!

Oh...c'mon Mark...wouldn't you like to walk through the grounds with a flame thrower on your back?

  12. Will they have an open jam night?

That's the only way I'd ever consider returning.

    :P

    Open jam night?...For sure!

First we level the floor and put a long bar on each side...then fill the middle with tables.

Serve wings and other finger foods for free and charge out the butt for the booze.

  13. maybe deed the auditorium to Shelby and Auglaize counties as a performance center with art musuem, just jack hammer off Wierwille's name.

Too bad it's so remote or you could rip out the seats and turn it into a really nice blues bar,
