The university of life was designed when Wierwille realized that he had a substantial portion of his followers that were actually unable to enter the way corps...usually because of age restrictions...Vic saw a lot of older folks (who had plenty of money), who were being "untapped", so to speak. In his "divine wisdom", Vic the opprotunist that he was, decided to sell corps teachings to the old folks without making them go in residence and run two miles a day and live in a dorm. They paid gladly to get their hands on these "SPECIAL TEACHINGS"...
upon "graduation" Vic would hand them a certificate of some kind and that would make them officially spiritual. Ya gotta hand it to the Vickster...he knew how to milk his followers.
...and yeah, he charged plenty for it.

To know God...for if there is no God, there is no purpose...we're nothing more than an ant farm.
-
...and wasn't it fitting that Vic did his dirty work under a big tent?...
...just like Elmer Gantry.
-
...A lonely path indeed...he reminds me of an old Vaudeville performer who is playing
to people of a further generation...he's almost a museum piece. People throw dollars
into his hat out of pity.
...and yes Ham, he started his own thing and pronounced himself to be ceo...I guess
anyone of us could do the same...he's still banking on former way followers and ces
followers to prop him up and give him money...sorta pathetic, if you ask me.

Lynn is still using the same technique that worked for him in the 70's. So far out of step that I feel embarassed for him...but this is all he knows...He's like the ghost of twi past.
-
The "corps chalet"...another example of bait and switch by twi. These people are lowlife ripoffs who used a lot of people, lied to them and got away with it...a pox upon them all!
-
But, since women/women is the no. 1 male fantasy...
Really?...certainly no fantasy of mine...although I have nothing against gays...to each their own (pun intended)...
...and speaking of homosexuals, aren't Donna and Rozilla gay?
-
LOL!! They couldn't even make the bed correctly to satisfy their mom - what did please her? anything?
Nothing pleased her...because she knew she was a phoney and she hated herself.
-
The rest of the goon squad went on to start splinter groups that provide a "good" lifestyle for them selves...Shoenheit, Lynn, Finnigan, Geer,...and a host of others (including Dale Sides)...
...but not lcm...what gives loy? Thought you were committed?
How come loy never started another group?...was it part of the deal with the prosecutor?

roflmao...but can I get the hoohobbers jr. director's chair without actually being a jr. director?
I never got that impression from the elder moneyhands. I always thought he was a good man who was willing to do anything to move the way's brand of "the word." Until I heard he was more than displeased with his UK assignment, I always thought he was happy to do whatever was needed. Maybe the jr. director/jr. moneyhands learned some of his backbiting skills from his dad?
My impression of Bob Moneyhands was that he was a company man...When all the other top leaders in the late 8o's left...because they couldn't stomach the stench that eminated out of NewKnoxville...good old Bob was there to see what he could snarf up...for some reason, he was left out in the cold...serves him right.
He and his wife pimped for lcm and helped cover it up...a lot of the sexually abused women (abused by Vic and Loy)...were sent to "Dottie" for counciling...and of course she woulod tell them how blessed they were for "ministering" to a mog...pretty sick if you ask me.
Boob and Doodie...that's what we used to call them. Just another loud mouth...
-
Can you imagine the delusional world of Chris Geer?...He's another example of someone who didn't leave enough bread crumbs on the trail to find his way back again.
...but crazy like a fox...franchising out his own rendition of pfal, making money and not having to "tend to his flock"...He would have fit in well with Hitler and his third reich.

Back to the brain tumor thing.
Must have been kept really hush-hush if even the Cafe patrons were unaware.
brain tumor?...you mean Donna had/has devil spirits in her head? ...at least according to twi teachings she does...gosh, what a shocker.
-
I knew Donna at Emporia in the late 70's...I found her to be arrogant, condescending, and always ready to belittle someone...never liked her...not even a little.
-
maybe the question should be..
where do the holy umemployed go..
Toledo, Ohio?
-
Wierwille was heavy on the shinola...and we devoured it like Wimpy on a hamburger...
Vic was an excellant con man...he played us like a violin. Nothing good good will ever come from this man's life...he was a liar and a pretender

Apparently the tweak I put in caused all the poster information on the left of each post to be hidden in IE.
May take me a few to track down exactly how to get IE to behave. In the mean time, there are 4 other free browsers out there that work perfectly (Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, and Opera)
Also, switching back to the old look should correct the issue also. You can do so at anytime using the drop-down list on the lower left of any page in the forums. Select "IP.Board" for the old one, "Light" for the new one.
Yep...firefox works just fine...

What is the whole reason given to these suckers to go through it? Just seems the same line would work only so long.. have they figured out something "original" to promise?
Shorter lunch lines?

Is it like a Mr. Potato head?...Where you can pull the eye out?
If it were made of ice, I could place it at the bottom of the urinal and watch it melt as I aimed carefully...

Interesting enough is the idea that king okie's wife was going headlong into a lesbian relationship at the same time that king okie was blathering and screaming about homosexuals...
Martindale was an foot...arrogance without virtue is always annoying. I left twi before the okie put his class out...glad I did...from what I've read and heard, that "class" he did was nothing short of a comedy skit on a second rate billing. Martindale's "knowledge of the word" was non existant and his sprituality was akin to Moe Howard's grasp on brain surgery.

nothing but long ago photos---don't they ever take current ones for their website?
They tried...but the screens on the monitors kept cracking.

Great points on the Wierwille / Kipp double standard. They make themselves sound as if they are some second rate "Christ line."
If "spirit" is thicker than blood how come they are so quick to boot people to the curb?
D@mn - that rhymed, for a moment I was a poet and didn't know it.
Oftentimes people were chastised for showing regard towards their families...I recall a "wow" gal that was told if she attended her sister's wedding, she would be booted from the wow field. She missed the wedding and caused great hurt within her family.
Produces harmony in the home?
...they expected us to turn our backs on our families but yet they showed zero loyalty to us in return.
People were summarily booted as if they were no more than employees that could be replaced without a second thought...spiritual family? Instead of "celebrating" at the roa, we should have marched upon them like the torch carrying villagers in a Frankenstein movie.
...and when Wierwille croaked, these "top leaders" showed their true colors as they bit and devoured each other trying to grab power from each other.I've seen corporate officers with more compassion.

Some of those pix look like fun times.
Wonder how many of those people are still around?
And how many "got a life" outside TWI?
When I see a picture of Richard Thomas....I just want to punch him in the face.
-
If he dressed up like Elvis.. his presentation might be a little more effective..

Wow.... words fail me.
Dooj and Groucho, I am so sorry!
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
Yeah...isn't that the truth...the memory of who they were and how they thought and what they believed...and their sense of humor...and how you connected with them...it stays with you.
...and it makes you who you are...
Tents
in About The Way
Posted
...And they used to brag about it being the largest tent in the world or some such bulls ***.
Wierwille lived for those moments when the big tent was full and his "kids" were all gathered at his feet...I wish I could go back in time and take a flame thrower to that place.
