  1. I like using both cash and credit cards for purchases. In fact, I try to use credit cards even more because of the rewards. But lately I'm seeing more self-service stations with cash seeming like the least popular or convenient way to pay. Cash is more of a hassle to use at a gas station. And at a local Aldi, they replaced most everything with self-service lines now. I may still use credit cards but want to retain the cash option. Your thoughts? All comments welcome.
  2. Yes. This is what I surmised in an earlier post, i.e. the written Word aids and helps and directs us to worship Him.
  3. I'm hesitant to accuse someone of worshipping a book and especially the Bible. As old Craig used to say "it depends on the mindset of the person making the decision" and unless God tells you what's inside someone's heart and mindset, how can someone know for sure? Then there's the declared truth that "God is the Word" and that includes the written Word (given by the Holy Spirit). Written words represent thoughts, so one may surmise that the written Word HELPS one worship the true God rather than hinder; and is a direct aid to worshipping God. We all know the verses, including the one from David "thou has magnified thy Word above all thy name."
  4. This is where I think TWI gave out some pretty good advice... i.e. if something in scripture makes no sense, 'hold it in abeyance' -- pray about it and ask God to give you the answer.
  5. Saw this news piece today. Haven't decided what to believe about it yet but am curious as to your thoughts on it. All comments welcome...
  6. An early comprehensive Roman Catholic missal? When I say that to protestant believers they may laugh and not believe it but the Word is written there. But don't believe me, go ahead and please buy one and read it for yourself. It's not good to believe everything bad you hear about the RC church... don't get gypt.
  7. Would love to but the details are political and I think the back and forth would then violate GSC rules. But you can google it if you like. Ask for "trouble with social and emotional learning" and so forth.
  8. Without getting into the details, SEL is what's happening in today's govt schools. I think the kids are getting brainwashed.
  9. Here you go. BTW this is one of my favorites, has good principles to ponder and is a sad reminder of the world we live in
  10. Do you guys want more clues or ready for the name?
  11. Thank you WordWolf, here are a few more quotes: BRONSON: "Now what the hell is that" LOUISE: "It's a sidesaddle" BRONSON: "A sidesaddle? You mean to tell me you're gonna put that on the side of a horse?" JAMIE: "Are you going to bust him?" BRONSON: "Do you know what it means bustin' a horse? JAMIE: "Showin' it you can't be thrown?" BRONSON: "No, that ain't all of it. Bustin' a horse means just exactly that: you bust him. And that takes all the spunk out of a horse... it breaks him. And I'm not gonna bust a Valdez horse.
  12. "Jamie you can have Buck, but keep in mind, he's a Valdez horse"
  13. BRONSON: "Morrell, I'm leaving" GUNMAN: "Just say the word, and he's a dead man" MORRELL: "Put your guns down, it's over"
  14. The star of this film is deceased, and was well-known for his rugged individualism and rogue actions. (In his films)...
  15. "If you don't like it here I will give you a fair price for your horses and equipment"
  16. "Jamie, these Indians are dying... won't be long before there are that many left."
  17. "Jamie, these Indians are dying... won't be long before there are that many left."
  18. All I asked was if there were any more details. Is that ok with you?
  19. I feel exactly the same. In fact if memory serves didn't he say that "we (TWI) does the same thing as everyone else." i.e. interpret it as well. So that means its ok to have a private interpretation?
