Now because man made the beast we destroy the beast and toss the whole breed? There are some out there that are not desirable breeders because of all things they have good disposition. Gentle and faithful dogs they are, without the inbred desire to kill anything its jaws can get a hold of.

But it is the same as guns, guns don't kill, neither do dogs that are taken care of properly after they are properly breed. Pits when they are good are the best, and I have had them that wouldn't harm a fly , unless the fly attacked one of me or mine.

The solutions lie in destroying the "bad seed" and criminal charges equal to lethal weapon charges and even murder for the owner that just had to have a vicious dog to protect their more often as not illegal activities. Then the responsible breeders need to step up and breed back into the dogs the greater good qualities. Breeders all but destroyed breeds like the Irish Setters by breeder for only a single quality; that being looks. The responsible breeders started including genetic traits like brains and saved the breed.

Pit bulls could have to carry papers (so to speak) that they came from responsible breeders that have a documented ancestry of gentle well mannered dogs. It is a myth that the training is all that determines if its going to be a good Pit or not, the breeding has made the majority of the breed to aggressive and most people are idiots when it comes to handling such animals.

BTW, my friend's 85 year old Daddy says that after every meal he wants to light up and he quit over 30 years ago.

He says he just wants to be a none smoker worse than a smoker.

Second holiday season smoke less for this former very heavy smoker. The first six months were hell and my mouth had to be filled with something every waking moment. All ready a fat man, I ballooned out even worse. I would wake with cravings and almost cold sweats in the middle of the night, I would wake reaching for the pack no longer there.

But after the six month mark the cravings just seemed to very gradually drop off and the raids of weakness are now farther apart. I live with the reality that I can quit and am full aware one single lousy puff can put me back to my 2 pack plus a day junkie habit.

Live with the occasional cravings or live with the knowledge a long life will mean the ever tagging along oxygen bottle? But even last night I dreamed ( no joke) of enjoying a full flavored filtered cigarette as I walked with a carton down a deserted street. Waking craving as I started to search for a pack, I came to myself and was once again thankful I am now one of the worse attitude none smokers in the world. Hey put that thing out this is a no smoking area! I truly enjoy my turn at being that obnoxious former smoker watching guests exiled to the cold outer limits to partake!

I became quite good friends with a man I worked with my first WOW year. He was extremely active in many anti-gang groups, nieghborhood watch, teaching firearms saftey and marksmanship.

You see there were gangs of 8 to 12 year old kids that bagged and carried groceries of all things; to which his 60 year old wife refused one day. He found her gang raped and beaten to death with hammers.
