  1. I am still working through this. The deal breaker for me was seeing the "law of believing" fall apart. This then led me to examining every major topic that the way teaches. I just tried to start neutral and reexamine each major point of doctrine to see where I could see the way was "off", and where I wasn't sure. I unclenched my tightly woven opinions about everything and opened up to different possibilities. But for me the most freeing thing in moving on was the ability to look at an issue of life and honestly say..."I don't know." That is something I never would have said while in the way.
  2. Don't stop and chop. It never turns out well.

  3. While you're there book an appointment in their dungeon of a spa. :)
  4. I wish I had! There or the gazeebo would have made that h hole a little more fun. I was always such a good little dicsciple. I remember thinking that because I am so awsome the adversary will really be after me. And surely if someone would get caught it would be me. YeAh right. Love shack---babie love shack....
  5. You got it babe! Mom and I'll be there...

  6. Just Christian radio. Thought that perhaps this something else the way was missing.
  7. I recently heard a quote and it made me go huh. "You are vulnerable to spiritual apathy when you love the study of the doctrine more than the Christ of the doctrine." I thought to myself, isn't that what I ended up. Completely apathetic to any and all things that truly mattered in life. Loving the bible and the ability to "study" (which may be debatable), more than the actual God or Christ I was claiming to have some great spiritual knowledge of.
  8. I feel charming, Oh so charming.....

  9. And I pitty any girl who isn't me to~oo~onight. Tra-la-la-la-la-la. Our voices sound so good together:)

Let's meet half way for that beer!

  10. Dear Dear Rozilla, Perhaps you have thrown all your full length mirrors out. Or do these rules only apply to those who haven't been in charge way too long. I guess that is why someone with a sticky note has to reserve a treadmill/bike for you, so that others on staff aren't "in your way". Equal in God's eyes, maybe-equal at duh way, not so much.
  11. that is how classes were run in our area. Twi significantly underestimates Generation Y. "Generation Y is much less likely to respond to the traditional command-and-control type of management still popular in much of today's workforce," says Jordan Kaplan, an associate managerial science professor at Long Island University-Brooklyn in New York. "They've grown up questioning their parents, and now they're questioning their employers. They don't know how to shut up, which is great, but that's aggravating to the 50-year-old manager who says, 'Do it and do it now.' " USA Today. There will be the slow few who put up with bs for years but the majority will not put up with stuff.
  12. Apalling!!!! I hated being called "sweetheart" by Uncle Howard after one of my husband's friends was talking with him. Uncle howard was talking about how many young guys would go to their room at founders hall to eat durring the noon meal. He said "back in my day we used to go home for a piece of a$$". Sick old man...sick-sick old man.
  13. thank you kindly Mr. W delicious:)
  14. Happy to hear it-glad you're here! Refreshing honesty.
  15. But that's not what good little way corps boys and girls do. A man in your position has to have complete control otherwise his service in the ministry is threatened. What do-do is that!
  16. Let's be friends. You can cook some food for me in your crock pot. And I will come over durring the noon meal and eat with you;)

  17. I remember the way ds to be worn out all the time because of doing both. Our dept coordinator was a real dink. Somehow thinking he had more clout. Trying to make them commit to normal staff commitments when in fact Way d was supposed to be their first assignment. Or so they were told. This is slight digression but, word on the street was that in recent years the only people going on staff were young and naieve or people who mentally needed help. And now there is the rest of us who need mental help after leaving.
  18. I think it is rather convenient that the way has a woman as it's president. What a nice little political move. Any topic related to this can all be covered with a "...but the way's president is a woman. " Rosie likes it on top. :)
  19. ...when you have a conversation with people your not trying to constantly turn it around to the Word. You can just enjoy the person you are conversing with. ...when you go through planning withdrawal. OMG, you mean I don't have to have every second of my life planned out planned out.!? How will I get my goals done?! What's my compass?!! AHHH! Ok, I'm better now..... ...when your favorite day of the week is now Sundays because it's time to relax with your family, not set up for fellowship and then for a hook-up or being required to attend the service. ...you look at sweet little community churches and think nice thoughts about them and what they do for the community. ...you no longer define success as-- your success and reputation in the household of duh Vay.
