1. http://www.recordnet.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090929/A_NEWS/909290314#STS=g0d7uuoo.mbf STOCKTON - An emergency room doctor could lose his license and spend time in state prison if prosecutors prove he stole a man's beloved Rolex watch off his wrist after a fatal heart attack. Cleveland Enmon, 32, was jumpy during his first appearance in a Stockton courtroom to answer a one-count indictment charging him with felony grand theft of personal property. The case stemmed from the death of retired Manteca Police lieutenant Jerry Kubena, who died of a heart attack June 1 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton. That's when Enmon allegedly slipped Kubena's beloved gold watch into his pocket. "A family death is already difficult," Kubena's daughter, Karie Nelson, said in an emotional statement after the hearing. "This took it to an all new level." Nelson and her brother, Jerry Kubena Jr., last week filed a wrongful death lawsuit further accusing Enmon of letting their father die so he could take the watch. They also say the hospital attempted to cover up the theft to avoid liability. A St. Joseph's spokesman did not reply to a call seeking comment. Kubena's son did not learn about the alleged theft from hospital administrators but rather from an acquaintance who works there. Nelson said she is angry at hospital officials and the doctor. She said her father loved the watch, which was returned. It has an estimated valued of about $16,000, Kubena's relatives said. Kubena retired from the Manteca Police Department about 20 years ago and then worked as a private investigator. "There's no doubt the doctor took my father's watch," said Nelson, who fears her father received substandard care from Enmon. "The minute he decided to do that, what was his interest to keep my father alive?" According to the civil lawsuit Kubena's children filed, two nurses noticed the missing watch and a bulge in Enmon's pocket. Outside, a nurse said she noticed Enmon toss something in the grass, and a hospital surveillance camera captured Enmon. Administrators immediately fired Enmon, according to the lawsuit. Supervising Deputy Attorney General Gail Heppell said that - to protect the public - she is preparing to ask a judge to suspend Enmon's license until the criminal case is resolved. "Stealing from a patient -that's heinous," said Heppell, adding that this is not an uncommon case. "Unfortunately, yes, I have to say this isn't the first time this has happened." It appears that St. Joseph's administrators, who did not report Enmon to the Stockton Police or the state Medical Board, did nothing wrong according to state law, Heppell said. She explained that Enmon did not work for St. Joseph's, but rather a doctor's registry, which supplies physicians to hospitals, similar to a temporary work agency. As such, the Stockton hospital had no obligation under state law to report Enmon's alleged crime, she said. Enmon said nothing in court. He appeared with Stockton attorney David Wellenbrock, who entered no plea but asked for more time. Wellenbrock said Enmon works at the Memorial Hospital of Gardena in Los Angeles County. San Joaquin County Deputy Public Defender Stephen Taylor said Enmon has two traffic warrants from California and a third from Georgia. San Joaquin County Superior Court Judge James Hammerstone allowed Enmon to return home to Hermosa Beach on a promise to appear at next month's hearing. Enmon is due back in a Stockton courtroom on Oct. 19. Contact reporter Scott Smith at (209) 546-8296 or ssmith@recordnet.com.

a deep mess right now and need some assistance from you urgently, please. Actually,am stuck in London and need help getting back home, came down here to visit a resort on vacation , unfortunately ,i was robbed at gunpoint,my bag, cash ,cards and my cell phone were stolen at GUN POINT. it's such a terrible experience ,right now i need help flying back home, the authorities are not being 100% supportive . good thing is i still have my passport ,just don't have enough money to get back home, please i need you to help me promise to refund you as soon as i get back ,please get back to me asap thanks Sandi *************************************************************************** Ron's response... Ahhhh, Sandy, How very fortunate you still have your passport!!! (AND your computer along with a VERY long list of addresses...over THIRTY that begin with "A".) I am thrilled to be included in your voluminous list of dear friends eager to aid you in this, your hour of need. Applying the standard bell curve to relative intelligence, of a group of 100, and your list is WELL over that, IQ scores will break down as approximately 60% between 90 and 110. 30% between 70 and 130 and about 5% over 140 and under 60%. This should provide a sufficient number of "friends" who fall into that group of IQ's under 60-70. One problem you may encounter is the very group who might be reasonably expected to fall for your scam, are, by their very mental capacity, more suited to serving a speed bumps as opposed to being able to front you a plane ticket. Perhaps we can solve your dilemma by suggesting you use the old and lame but apparently still, roping in suckers, gimmick of offering to send a cashiers check for even more than the person is asking...and telling them to "take what you need" and simply send the balance to your "agent". This one appeals to their hidden greed and if properly played can be quite lucrative as it doesn't require that they be imbeciles to respond. dang for brains, but not IDIOTS. As a last resort, you might try the well-worn Nigerian millionaire which with the relative absense of cost using internet distribution just MIGHT rope in a gullible "fish". While you are awaiting the responses to your "plane ticket scam", you might polish up your technique by approaching folks (young guys...and leave your top button(s) inadvertently loosened) at service stations with the request that they "LOAN" you just enough gas money to get home to fill in town...about 150 miles away...or help you buy a spare tire as your is shot, and you have found a service station which will sell you one for $25. Be SURE to ask for a return address to which you will immediately send replacement funds when you "get home" This routine has been known to return over $100 an hour, more, sometimes MUCH more if enough buttons are "missed" and if 'asker' is young, comely, innocent and preferably, blond. This approach has the added benefit of allowing a last minute close' should you be turned down....that is: "I am really desperate...Just LOAN me the $25...I will REPAY you...AND I'll give you a b*** job." If you are currently sporting braces or other wiry dental appliances, you can substitute a hand job, but returns may drop significantly. I offer these friendly words of advice and hope they are helpful. Sincerely Helpful Ron

WOW! McDonald's

If you look, you can almost make out the outline of Searcy County, Arkansas where there is neither a McDonald's or a Walmart. We do, however, have a Subway, Sonic and Pizza Hut. I've never been to Starbuck's or even seen one here in Arkansas, although I'm sure they have them in Little Rock...but I don't go there much.
5. geisha... When you tried to make a Biblical case, using Romans 13, for the socialist state usurping the rights and authority of individuals by theft of their resources, you inadvertently made a case in support of Bush's wars of aggression and all his policies on the pretext that the state knows what's best for all. This thread was entitled "Replying to Obama - God's Partner". Sounds to me like you think God should be Obama's partner. I didn't buy into bush's crap either, so I guess I'm a sinner by your standards.

7. I guess you're not officially an old fart until you hit 65 or so. I hope have enjoy your birthday and have at the very least 55 more with good health and happiness. Then you'll be a healthy and happy old fart.
8. You gotta admit that canned Guinness is pretty skanky. I don't think I'd do that with bottled Guinness.
9. Quite likely the worlds first Guinness/PBR black and tan. I saw this on another forum and tried it. Delicious!

11. After thee days wondering what happened to my email, I finally recovered it and found this... It seems the guy changed my email password to "yummie" and used his name, Michael O'brien, as my opening line. If Twinky or any other UKers should run into him, tell him I have a message for him...he also has/had a yahoo.uk email address, too. Maybe ol' Mike was just another victim, I don't know, but if anyone should run into him, we should find out. Maybe we can be penpals. Anyway, all is well, now, and hopefully, will stay that way.
12. I went to change my facebook password. Well folks...it appears that whoever got into my facebook account already did that since I can no longer get into it. I guess I have to go call my tech guy as they got into my email account, also.
13. Evidently, someone has gotten into my Facebook account and telling people I'm in England, got mugged and need $500 to get back home. Most of my Facebook buds are GSers. DO NOT GIVE them anything. I'm NOT in England and don't need $500....I want $500 (who doesn't?), but that's a different story. IGNORE any thing you might get from these people knowing that I'm safely tucked away in the Ozarks of Arkansas and not in need of any cash.
14. That morning, I got up feeling really terrible, so I laid down and turned on my tv set. They showed one of the buildings with smoke coming out of it (for some reason the sound had gone out on my Dish Network), so I went to the store and asked if they knew anything about it. They didn't, so I went back home and turned the tv set off and drove to my doctor who sent me to the hospital. Nothing was said. Everyone at the clinic was more concerned about my 30 BPM pulse rate. An ambulance picked me up and carted me off to Harrison. Still, nothing was said. I was in the hospital in ICU preparing to have the battery replaced in my pacemaker. By then they had us all pretty loopy from the meds they gave us to kind of mitigate the tension since all the channels were showing it and we all had TV sets over the beds. One older guy was raving about "pilots getting drunk and crashing into buildings". I thought it must be some sort of documentary about pilots and drinking or I'd gotten an episode of the Twilight Zone or something. Only thing was it was on all the channels except Cartoon Network, so I changed it to that. I don't think patients there fully realized what was going on until the next day when all the talking heads were blabbering about it. I know I didn't.

Victoria's Secret

Alexandra Kim, curator of the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection, holds a pair of bloomers which once belonged to Britain's Queen Victoria, as she poses for the photographer at Kensington Palace, in central London, Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009. The underwear, which has a 56-inch (142-centimeter) waist, has been added to Britain's Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection at Kensington Palace. It has a matching chemise, is embroidered with a 'VR' and is believed to date from the 1890s. Photo/Lefteris Pitarakis So Vickie had split crotch drawers just like Victoria's Secret...suppose THAT is from whence cometh the name?

17. I come here because there's classy people with whom I have a shared experience....a profoundly life changing experience that we can all relate to. Yeah, I'm long since done with TWI and TWIthink and so are a lot of others here. It's kind of like old Army buddies who shared the experience of some sort and later moved into the same neighborhood and grew up and then old together. It's our neighborhood and we enjoy it. Now comes the burning question of everyones mind...are YOU really papertrained or do you miss now and then. Did you finally graduate to fire hydrants?

21. Ever since I took that Bible class you signed me up for way back when, I've had this nervous twitch by my left eye. Why is that? Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful birthday and many, many more.
22. Happy Birthday, Soosh! Here's the PERFECT gift for you! Check it out! http://instantrimshot.com/ just hit the red button!! Happy birthday!!
23. I remember that big ol' panoramic shot of everyone who went WOW when I did. I was duty bound to cut out all the "cop outs" pictures as they copped out. In 1995 I had to cut my picture out. I recently heard that my ex wife from that time is still in and quite committed (strange, but true). Now I have a big picture of my ex wife surrounded by all these decapitated bodies. Actually, I threw the damn thing out years ago...but it gave me something to type on a saturday morning...and some still committed wayfers who might be reading this will most likely believe it...they'll believe most anything.

HAPPY 50TH BOWTWI

Shell is crazy about you and so am I. The difference is that, unlike me, Shell is relativley sane in other areas of life. Seriously, you know you're LOVED! Happy semicentennial...the next 50 will be even better...you'll know better than to get involved in a cult! Uh...by the way...you're VERY difficult to get on the phone.
