Thanks, Human, altho I'd say Soulsearcher got it cause he had the title and that's what we're looking for here.

Today I stumbled from my bed

with thunder crashing in my head

  3. with apologies to Don Moen: When it 's all been said and done, with Wierwille's death and stworie, did we do our best to love you God, when headquarters is now gone? :smilie_kool_aid::anim-smile::biglaugh::eusa_clap:

Just curious, Tom LB - to which song are you referring here? Is that a line of a song, "Did we do our best to love You, God?"

  4. Ok, this one's for the ladies. I love Bon Jovi. I recently ran across this. One of their fabulous, more recent songs has very famous actors.

So, enjoy. If its too risque, please pull. But I think you ladies will like it - Brad Pitt, etc. :)

Woo hoo! Now I'm supposed to go back to work, yeah - right! LOL

That was more fun that Fish Heads - which I hadn't thought of in years and now can't get out of my head - guess I had better play this one again to get rid of that one - Dirty Little Secret, my new favorite video to watch, er... um LISTEN TO, yeah, that's the ticket! Thanks, Sunesis!

Ex-C - It's always a good time for Thunder Road! And almost always for any Steve Forbert - what a fun day in the Song of the Moment thread!

  5. The light turned yellow, just in front of him. He did the right thing, stopping at the crosswalk, even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating through the intersection.

The tailgating woman was furious and honked her horn, screaming in frustration, as she missed her chance to get through the intersection, dropping her cell phone and makeup.

As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and looked up into the face of a very serious police officer. The officer ordered her to exit her car with her hands up.

He took her to the police station where she was searched, fingerprinted, photographed, and placed in a holding cell.

After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and opened the door. She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting officer was waiting with her personal effects.

He said, "I'm very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the guy in front of you and cussing a blue streak at him. I noticed the 'What Would Jesus Do' bumper sticker, the 'Choose Life' license plate holder, the 'Follow Me to Sunday-School' bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk, so naturally....I assumed you had stolen the car."

    Priceless.

  6. ... So I sent the video to Shellon, and I think Bowtwi got jealous since all I heard was:

"Where's MYYYYY copy of the video????????" biglaugh.gifbiglaugh.gif

So I had to send her a copy of it too. (Gotta keep "peace in da fambly, eh"?) beer.gif

    ... smile.gif

Jealous? Moi? Just cause I threatened to be on your doorstep within 12 hours if ya didn't doesn't mean I was jealous.

And remember, I'll find where you're sleeping at the Hartford Memorial Festival next summer... mwwahhh ha ha ha ha...

I'll try to be in chat at 8:00 p.m. Central Time tomorrow, Saturday Sept. 4th. We have a kickball game and cookout tomorrow

but I'm pretty sure we'll be home by then.

  7. Thanks for your Progressive point of view, but I am not a progressive, just

a PFAL grad going foreword with research. Just some word studies I did one

day, but thank for your progressive point of view, play nice, stay on topic?

Wow, teach! This is a DISCUSSION board and that's what Pax did, was contribute to the discussion here.

I don't get it. Is your intention to lecture and to only allow opinions that mirror yours? If so, please state that

at the beginning of your post and people can decide if they want to tow your line or go elsewhere and think

    freely as we see fit.

We're no longer in the cult and no longer have to all think exactly the same thoughts, thank God!

  8. Linda, I am so sorry for your loss. I think I almost feel your pain. I, too, had to make that decision to put my precious husky, Tasha out of her misery this very week. I knew she had arthritis, but aspirin took the edge off the pain and she was having some great days of prancing and romping around... until Wednesday when I came home and found her after an apparent stroke.

We had rescued her when we lived in FL still, eight years ago. We were told she was 18-24 months old at the time.

She was my all time favorite pet I've ever had. I miss her like crazy. I can only imagine it's half-again as tough on you after 12 years with your lil darlin!

  9. Our Roma tomatoes were plenteous and wonderful. The "regular" maters, I forget which they were, not so much. We got about 6 off of two plants.

The lettuce was awesome and just kept on coming. Our neighbor's lettuce was all bitter and unedible.

The bell peppers are still tiny, but very green and I don't know if they'll grow to normal size. One started turning a bit red now. I asked Annie if they were maybe dwarf peppers? We'll try one this weekend to check it out. They're cute, if nothing else.

We just did a small garden this year. I imagine we'll go bigger next.
