There already is a thread "Name that TV Show," using dialogue to represent a show. It sort of died away, but could be brought back. On the other hand, giving other types of clues might be a good, new thread. (It's reminiscent of the old Nostalgia Thread.) Anyway, bfh's show is obviously "The Brady Bunch." This one may be a LITTLE tougher, though I expect several people here will get it quickly: Jack Larson Phyllis Coates John Hamilton George

They simply said the job wasn't available. I get the impression they pretended that the job was never offered. It wasn't because he and his wife weren't "in good standing." They tithed, abundantly shared, and were at EVERY event. They were simply lied to. George -

Yep. He went into a deep depression. After he went through his and his wife's savings, he killed himself. Ultimately, he was responsible for his choice; but that doesn't absolve TWI. His wife is doing well, these days. George -

I personally know four people who committed suicide, two men and two women. All of them had been associated with TWI at one time or another. Only one of the suicides, though, would I consider a direct result of TWI. (He quit a high-paying job to take a staff position at HQ, only to be turned away when he and his wife arrived there.) :( George -
"'Remember us.' As simple an order as a king can give. 'Remember why we died.' For he did not wish tribute, nor song, nor monuments nor poems of war and valor. His wish was simple. 'Remember us,' he said to me. That was his hope, should any free soul come across that place, in all the countless centuries yet to be." "It's an honor to die at your side." "It's an honor to have lived at yours." "Immortals... they fail our king's test. And a man who fancies himself a god feels a very human chill crawl up his spine." George

"I don't think I want to know a six-year-old who isn't a dreamer, or a sillyheart. And I sure don't want to know one who takes their student career seriously. I don't have a college degree. I don't even have a job. But I know a good kid when I see one. Because they're ALL good kids, until dried-out, brain-dead skags like you drag them down and convince them they're no good. You so much as scowl at my niece, or any other kid in this school, and I hear about it, and I'm coming looking for you! Take this quarter, go downtown, and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face! Good day to you, madam." George

I watch Mad Men, and I even remember the ad. Of course, every movie a vivacious, young, sexy, Ann-Marget was in was a musical. I think this one was "Bye Bye Birdie." George

Not even close (and I can't see that many F-bombs in a cartoon!). "You shared a motel room with a complete stranger? Are you crazy?" "Not yet. But I'm getting there." "What's the flight situation?" "Simple. There's no way on earth we're going to get out of here tonight. We'd have more luck playing pickup sticks with our butt-cheeks than we will getting a flight out of here before daybreak." "I guess we'll find out soon enough." "Yeah, but by the time the airline cancels this flight, which they will sooner or later, you'd have more of a chance to find a three-legged ballerina than you would a hotel room." "Are you saying I could be *stuck* in Wichita?" "I'm saying you *are* stuck in Wichita." "Welcome to Marathon, may I help you?" "Yes." "How may I help you?" "You can start by wiping that f---ing dumb-a$$ smile off your rosey, f---ing, cheeks! And you can give me a f---ing automobile: a f---ing Datsun, a f---ing Toyota, a f---ing Mustang, a f---ing Buick! Four f---ing wheels and a seat!" "I really don't care for the way you're speaking to me." "And I really don't care for the way your company left me in the middle of f---ing nowhere with f---ing keys to a f---ing car that isn't f---ing there. And I really didn't care to f---ing walk, down a f---ing highway, and across a f---ing runway to get back here to have you smile in my f---ing face. I want a f---ing car RIGHT F---ING NOW!" "May I see your rental agreement?" "I threw it away." "Oh boy." "Oh boy, what?" "You're f---ed!" George
