  1. "Rocky IV" "Hello, HAL. Do you read me, HAL?" "Affirmative, Dave. I read you." "Open the pod bay doors, HAL." "I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that." George
  2. There was an episode which began with a hidden Federation observation station (essentially, a holographic "duck blind") that lost power to its holoemitter, revealing the occupants to the local citizenry. I don't remember anything else about the episode, though. George
  3. Not on my iPod. Well, I don't have an iPod, but you know what I mean... :) George
  4. ????????? Sounds liek a wild movie! George
  5. I'll be honest with you. I'm not likely to get ANYTHING (rock or country) post-2000. George
  6. Was this the one where a disguised Worf helps his step-brother move a people from one planet to another by keeping them in a holodeck for days? George
  7. This is a well-known movie, and, for me, it's a memorable line. Hopefully, it will be as obvious to others... "What is the point of all those push-ups if you can't even lift a bloody log?" George
  8. And, as I recall (from GS BBQ) great looking enough to make that particularly consternating! ;) George
  9. That wasn't the only reason, by the way. In general, it was my failure to kowtow when told things that didn't make any sense. For example, I owned a house, free and clear, about five miles from where I worked. I had a Twig leader (not the same one) who had fellowship in his home, about 35 miles away. The Limb and Branch leaders kept trying to get me to sell my house to move closer to Twig. No, thanks! George
  10. I'm not sure I understand the question. I'm a PhD Chemist who reads Greek. Does that mean I was too smart for PFAL? George
  11. Let's get this train back on the track. WordWolf's up. (I assume he was correct about "End of the Line.") George
  12. Interestingly, that person is a lurker here, and just contacted me. Left NASA to join the Corps. Left TWI to join the human race! George
  13. Sounds vaguely familiar, but no clear memories. George
  14. "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles"? (I know that John Candy's character was named Del something.) George
  15. I know who they are. :) I remember a newspaper cartoon (Arlo and Janis) when George Harrison died. Arlo was looking into the distance, sighing, "He was my favorite Traveling Wilbury." George
  16. When I worked for Dow, I had the same problem. I know that I have, on occasion, made the same request. If you post a video, at least give the title! George (not a Traveling Wilburys fan, I'm afraid)
  17. I had a hunch that Picard would turn out to be whom the others thought was the Overseer, but I really don't remember this one. The name "Mintakan" rings a bell, though. George
  18. Not one I recognize from one line. Or two, apparently. ;) George
  19. One of the reasons I got booted was for not taking seriously LCM's rant about "The only reason for a space program is military defense." (I preferred Ps. 19:1.) Ironically, my Twig Leader, who was complicit in my ouster, was a mathematician for NASA. George
  20. Ed Harris Enemy at the Gates Jude Law George
  21. Yun-Fat Chow Anna and the King Jodie Foster George
  22. Interesting. It must be NG (OK, Will and Tom Riker appeared in other ST versions, but I remember them pretty well), but I'm not getting it. George
