  1. I thought of the mustard line myself (although I prefer mustard and onions), but I decided it was too STRANGE to put on ... but I guess your moniker covers a multitude of comments, Tom Strange 0-) Loved it ... cute little pooches, Dovie! With mustard or without ... I guess they would be a hit on the low-carb diet, minus the bun ... but I digress... TF
  2. I like JAL ... but I LOVE that dachshund puppy on a hot dog bun ... he/she is precious! Okay, now back to our regularly scheduled program... TF
  3. Congratulations, Radar ... e-mail me privately ... since I got 315 unsolicited e-mails from unwanted sources in one day last week, I don't imagine putting my e-mail address here would vastly increase that... spropst@hci.net aka toadfriend
  4. All these are so TRUE, it is sad that these folks in TWI have lost sight of the fact that Jesus Christ is the head of the church, and not RFR... BTW, I got a new computer ... my previous one has not allowed me to post for a long, long time ... did anyone miss me? :-) TF
  5. Don't know if they are in or not (or if this is the Mike Caldwell who was formerly married to Rita and they were in my first twig in the 13th Corps), but I checked www.yahoo.com and their People Search option lists this address and a phone number (not on here, but you can go to Yahoo and find it for yourself) .. the address is: Mike Caldwell 3011 Mikels Ln Knoxville , TN ToadFriend
  6. According to www.yahoo.com People Search, David and Candace Turk live on RR (Rural Route) 1, Snow Hill, NC ... go to Yahoo and it also gives their phone number if you want to get in touch. TF
  7. I left the Way on January 11, 1996 after 23.5 years .. including College WOW, regular WOW, Way Corps, etc. The feelings you have upon leaving TWI are akin to those following divorce or even a death ... stages of shock, anger, etc. It helped me tremendously to have a loving group of former Way folks (not affiliated with any of the major spin-offs, heck, we don't even have a name!) ... and we re-searched the scripture and have seen great things that were never taught in TWI ... we are still quite thankful for the Word of God made known to us by the life of Dr. Wierwille, and although we realize he is far from perfect, we still believe and stand on the basic principles of Power for Abundant Living. We are very laid back, but committed spiritually to our local church, and the concept of the local church, as opposed to another mega-church, non-profit organization with a board of directors. There is great freedom and great joy in my life now ... and in ours as a family. If you have any questions I can help you with, please feel free to write me at spropst@hci.net ... as has been said on TV commercials before, "No salesman will call." Life is great on the outside of TWI ... the same God that called you to COME to TWI to hear the Word of God is calling you to get OUT now ... it took me a while to realize that is what happens with each of us ... God wants us to be the best place we can be to love Him and hear his Word ... Susan Propst aka ToadFriend
  8. I didn't mean to insinuate that there was not such a video ... I had heard about it for many years before I was in the Corps. I guess Al P. and I and about 50 others were "enjoying" the viciousness of TJ at Gunnison while Dr. Wierwille was showing "Animal Farm" at Emporia. TF
  9. I was in the 13th Corps with Rochelle. She was badly injured in the accident at Tinnie where a crosswind hit the truck loaded with Corps folks after LEAD, on their way back down to the main road. Many Corps were thrown from the truck. (Did their mamas never tell those LEAD coordinators how unsafe it is to ride in the back of a truck on a bumpy road????) She spent most of our first year in-residence at the Indiana Campus, getting treatment for the dental and other injuries she received. That much I know ... all of the rest I read on a former thread of Waydale, and I do not remember it. As for the bestiality film, they may have shown it at the Indiana Campus during our first year in-residence (while Rochelle was there), but it was NOT shown at Emporia where I was in the 13th Corps. I am sure I would have remembered that. TF
  10. In defense of macmarine ... he has a fishing and boating spirit these days and cannot attend to his forum duties ... no desire to be delivered from the spirit of the river troll(er)... you know, Mac has been busy at home with job, husband, and daddy duties (as well as adding up all the aerobic points that have been faxed to him recently, all overdue by decades at this point) ... he is compiling a list of offenders who will be called on to meet him in the Sunlight Room after breakfast tomorrow... better start jogging, boys and girls ... the eyes of Mac are upon you. Back to your regularly scheduled program ... TF
  11. Hi ... I have a friend who is former Corps, but more importantly to this thread, was a WOW in either Las Vegas or Henderson ... sometime in the late 1970s ... to protect her identity, I will not mention her last name ... but her [maiden] name was Lisa D....dark brown, almost black hair, dark brown eyes, VERY pretty (was then, still is now) ... if any of you remember her, please contact me at spropst@hci.net ... there is a particular girl who was good friends with her (whose name I can't remember right now), but if you think you know who I mean, e-mail me and I will pass along any messages to Lisa. TF
  12. Take a Bible break from this thread and visit the birthday and anniversary thread... besides October 3rd being the 60th anniversary of the Way (you don't need to celebrate -- let the 100 members of the Way do that...) you can wish one of your 9th Corps buddies, Jeff Mackay (macmarine) a happy birthday ... he doesn't have time these days to visit these forums, but I put his e-mail address there (he doesn't know, but won't mind) ... and would love to hear from you. If you want to give him a really nice birthday present, he seems to be in need of yet another hot tub cover since the black Lab puppy his wife rescued from certain death last December 1 seems to have chewed the SECOND one in tiny little pieces. Seems those covers are quite to Nicky's taste... but anyway, I'm sure Jeff would love to hear from any of you ... especially those of you who are behind on reporting your aerobic points ... 20 years behind??? She lives with her husband in St. Marys, Ohio .. they have been out of TWI for quite a while. E-mail me at spropst@hci.net and I can give you her e-mail address, and might even be able to rustle up her regular address. ToadFriend aka Susan Propst
  14. Yep, for those of you who might have known Jeff Mackay, aka macmarine, in the 9th Corps, bet you didn't know his birthday (48th in 2002) was the same day as the Way's anniversary! Surprise him with birthday greetins' at mackay357@vistatech.net .... and by the way, October 5 of this year (2002) is his and mrs. mac's 17th anniversary ... they have three sons, all teenagers! Jeff is an avid boater and fisherman these days ... between working out at the gym and staying disgustingly physically fit! ToadFriend
  15. Still in the Way. Still in North Carolina. Go to Yahoo or Google and do a white pages search for John and Carol Welch in Winston-Salem, NC. You will find their address and phone number. I was good friends with Carol, and have written her, but have never gotten an answer. At least she HAS quit sending my letters back marked RETURN TO SENDER/MARK AND AVOID! ToadFriend
  16. "People" at yahoo.com shows their street address and phone number in East Hampton, New York. You will be able to tell which house it is because the mailbox is in the shape of the upper peninsula of Michigan! (just teasing) It is really the one with the RCA Victor dog on the front porch steps ... ooops, no ... teasing again. Gotta love that Dave ... he gave me so many memories that make me smile ... now shall we all sing a sweet, soft chorus of "Peace, Peace, Wonderful Peace?" Whenever I think of that song, I think of Dave Bedard ... it seemed to be one of his favorites, and one that often seemed to fit the moods he created at suppers ... a very intense, yet very interesting (and often very FUNNY) believer. He was masterful at setting the stage for things with incidents ... but then, he DID have a lot of practice. I wonder if Dave still likes beet juice, carrot juice, etc.??? Lots of fond memories there. Musings from the pond, TF
  17. Easy to find ... go to www.yahoo.com and do a search on people ... his name is Thomas ... somehow got his e-mail address from somewhere ... it was a disappointing exchange ... but then, I'm not a friend of TJ and AJ ... I think they live somewhere in the DC/Maryland/Va. area. Can't remember exactly ... but yahoo.com or the White Pages on msn.com will help you find them, as it will anyone who has a listed telephone number. TF
  18. Wonderful believer -- most likely in her 70s now, last I heard she was living in South Carolina ... if you know her address or phone number, or can verify or deny that she and her husband, Bill, live in Longs, SC ... I would appreciate it .. she stayed in TWI longer than I did, but was not welcome in the local devilish fellowship here in Morganton, NC after she couldn't travel three times a week an hour down the mountain from Boone to fellowship and then back up in the fog when she was in her late 60s ... ToadFriend
  19. I was in the 13th Corps with Jim Wittersheim, a great foosball champion! I did a White Pages search for him on yahoo.com in the state of NC and found his address and phone number ... if you would like them, please e-mail me at spropst@hci.net and I will send you what I found ... or you can do the search yourself at yahoo.com ToadFriend
  20. Whenever I call my sister, Ann, when she is lying in bed reading or watching TV (which is often), one or both of her two cats (Bovine and Toby) walk across the bed. stepping on just enough of the phone pad to bring jarring sounds to my ears .. Toby is especially likely to stand on the key pad while coming up to be petted....odd lot, those two. ToadFriend
  21. A 9th Corps fellow who is a friend of mine has a neat new website ... hope he doesn't mind that I'm telling you all its URL ... www.mackaypainting.com ... visit it and you can see what Jeff Mackay has been up to since he and his wife, Lisa (WC12) and family moved to North Carolina in the early 1990s. He likes hearing from old Corps buddies, so I am reasonably sure I will not be pounded into oblivion for sharing this info with you all. TF
  22. I LOVE Hogan's Heroes ... I have seen all the episodes more than once! The only good thing about The Powers of Matthew Star is that Barry Van Dyke (Diagnosis Murder's "Lt. Steve Sloan," and son of Dick Van Dyke) plays his coach on some of the episodes ... and I like Barry. There are too many BAD TV shows to list, but two of my FAVORITES of the 60s and 70s were "The Wild, Wild West" with Robert Conrad in his hunkier, earlier years, and "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." ... cute fellow played Illya Kuryakin, partner to Napoleon Solo.
