I am passing this info on to you.
A friend shared an email that informed that Arlene Jenkinson (wife of Tom Jenkinson) passed away this week at home surrounded by family.

(by the way, the original stories are in Portuguese)

(translated text)
A former religious leader sentenced (charged) to 59 sex offenders in the United States, was discharged from the ICU of the Regional Hospital in Campo Grande. He will be taken to a ward and will continue to escort the Federal Police. Victor Arden Barnard, 60, is being held in the Federal Penitentiary of Campo Grande on Saturday (14) attempted suicide by hanging. He was admitted to the HR early Sunday morning (15) in serious condition and doctors came to see that he had a lack of oxygen framework in the brain.
Three days after being admitted to the ICU, he has improved and his health condition is stable, according to medical bulletin of the Regional Hospital. Because of the attempted hanging, Victor Barnard has a trauma to the larynx.
EDIT NOTE: Victor Barnard is 54 I am pretty sure, not 60 as the article says. His age reported in news articles there have always been a bit mixed up.

Evidently the ability to edit this topic is no longer there. Is it possible to activate it? Thanks
Outandabout- No there is not, but I sent you some ideas that may work for you. Please check your private messages.

Personal attacks against other posters here at GSC are in violation of the rules. Please try personal messages to understand each other if needed.

We are not going to return to political discussion at GSC. There are many venues where you can take this discussion, and even discuss it with TWI or exTWI folks. This is not one of those places.
Thank you for remembering.

Most people here do not understand your acronym of REV. I understand your military background uses them for everything, but a little clarity would help others.
Also, if you are on Facebook, there are several forums you can find where people (exTWI and current alike) like to discuss Biblical version "truths or fictions". That might be more inline with your interest. Just start searching names of people you knew or heard of who taught in TWI and you will find them rather easily.

I recognize you, MRAP, are new to the forums and I urge that you make quick progress to learn what is considered appropriate in here. The others are letting you know what is acceptable and what is not. Please take heed.
We let a lot slide in here until it becomes apparent that cyber fisticuffs are near, but there are rules, and I encourage you to follow them as a start. In addition to rules there are certain nuances of the way people say things that are not met with pleasantries. You have now been formally made aware.

Others will know more than I and perhaps will provide more info, but Steve Perez was an early twig and Branch coordinator in NY. I believe he was also in either F5 or F7 corps.
Although he was a musician, he was not in Joyful Noise as far as I know.

yes that is true. Here is a link to his obituary-

Here are 4 or 5 segments from the show today-

Victor Barnard will be featured on "The Hunt With John Walsh" on CNN soon according to recent previews.

Here is the actual legal complaint and charges. Scroll past thelegal terminology of the 59 counts if you want,, and read the Statement of Probable Cause towards the bottom.

For those who asked, it has been confirmed both Karl and Barnard were 14th Corps,

LOL, I guess I did word that a bit oddly. I guess technically everyone's posting privileges were gone, but none of those with moderated restrictions had anything to do with the 2/3 day layoff of the forums and I had nothing to do with getting it back up.
I was mostly saying that I could not lift those restrictions while the forum was down so I did when it came back online. Maybe that clarifies it, maybe not, but it is more than enough said from me on it. :)
-
Now that the forums are back up again, I have restored everyone's posting privileges. Please post responsibly everyone.

It appears that the Federal Supreme Court in Brazil finally granted the US Marshal's extradition request on March 8th, 2016. At least that is how various online translators render this page to me:
(Summarized- short version) By unanimous decision (with one absent judge), the extradition is granted provided the courts in the US do not seek more than 30 years imprisonment.
