Moony Dallas in the summer and Duluth in the winter is snow bird lingo. They don't like the heat and they don't like the cold So they come see you five or six months each year. Do you have a room for rent starting in Nov.through April ?

Boy moony you sure don't like the cold tundra eh! While on the road playing for many a year our agent told ud he would keep us busy both in the south and north.The only thing he did not tell us about what he meant was Dallas in the summer and Duluth in the winter. Nancy Mesquite (Skips wife) has been emailing me now and than.And she sent me this info about something she is involved with .Although she does not post but drops by from time to time. She told me if I wanted to post the info it would be fine with her. I don't know much about it but any of you that have chidren, you may want to check it out.Addy at bottom of post Skip and Nancy are doing great and are grandparents of two lovely grand children. They sent me a picture and I could tell by the looks on their faces they were proud as could be holding the grandkids. My oh my how the years do go by. Because of a line that ala prochaine posted about being confused and other cool lines she comes up with, as others do from time to time. I thought it only reasonable and proper that we should have a corner for all writers of songs. poetry and etc.A song begiins with only one line or thought. Let's have fun with this thread staying light hearted and cheerful.I have read many of your posts and you guys and gals sure do come up with some doozies hahaha Also you that write the more serious stuff poetry or songs feel free to fire away. Let's put this puppy to rest.I just heard from the man who was in charge of security and I asked him I hear Craig was there He informed me that he was not there. Pehaps someone misstook me for Craig ha ha ha

RG I never saw Craig either. If he was there maybe we need to get our glasses changed.ha ha

The memorial sevice was done decent and in order filled with a lot of tender love All the children and spouse's had their time to share what was on their hearts about this most wonderful mother. The children had it thought through and decided to give anyone the floor that would like to share. Of course I was one of the first to do so. And Kathy I spoke of the time you Cliff and I went to see her over a year ago. I closed out by singing a chorus of one of Dotsie's favorite songs I do, Ready To Go. I am so thankful I got to share and be a part of saying farewell to my dearly beloved friend and sister in Christ Also I got to see and shake hands with many of the old gang from long ago. Some of them I will never see again in my lifetime. Rhoda was there and it was so great to see and talk with her one more time There was a plentful tasty meal served after and needless to say I piged out. As to who was there.The children had this service at a location where ANYONE AND EVERYONE who so desired to come would be and was more than welcome Regardless of who you were where you had been or what you had done To me it was an example of God's Amazing Grace. ala I liked him maybe that's because my tastes in styles of music are so varied. This nostalalga thread reminds me of a good friend. He has a large collection of old records LP's 45's and 78's plus cass.and Cd's . Every time I've been to his house he has this little game he plays.He will put on some recordings and play about 4 bars then turn to you and ask who is that? And you get no clues. If you don't know and ask who is it you get ignored. Then he puts on the next recording and after 10 seconds of listening he asks again who is that? This can go on for hours. And another thing, he will get some new recording's and say hey Ted man I got something you just have to hear. Well I am all primed to listen but once again he will play a short segemen of each track and than ask know aint that great or what? In all the years I have known him he has never played anything all the way through for anyone. We all kid him about it and call him Who Is That Bob. Maybe someone here knows who I'm talking about.. All I'm going to add are his intials B. L. WHO IS THAT hahaha I sure do love this old friend.

Yeah Geo C,Brown sure knew how to sing and play the blues.Like you I dig his voice. Had some old recordings of his but loaned to someone and never got em'.back. At least think I wll order that CD From Amaazon. That's a good thing B Raitt did bringing him back into the spotlight.Bonnie Raitt sure paid her dues befor she got some worthy credit of her talent. Those of you that have never heard her sing you have missed out cause she is darn good..Now if you think she is going to post a song or two you may have a long wait, about as long as it took her to post a picture of herself.yepper!!! Thanks Evan I pray that Gisele is OK and I'm so glad you have made it through.I know unless any of us would be there we can't fathom how rough things are. New Orleans and the gulf coast has a special place in my heart as I have spent a good deal of time in that area.. Please keep us posted as best you can. LOL Ted
