MaryPoppins Its amazing we even speak the same language isn't it LOL ... So many times we have different words for the same item. Oriental Lilies we consider the Solid color Reds, Oranges, Yellows, Limes, Tigers, and they even have a white but these ones don't smell as nice and are a bit smaller. Usually the varieties that grow real well in peoples gardens here in America. I guess you could technically put the lilies shown above in that category but this variety of Lily happens to be substantially larger than what we consider oriental lilies here. So this one is called a Stargazer it has varieties in its own size such as the Casablanca which comes in pale pink or perfect white and smells absolutely gorgeous and is also as large as the stargazer. Yet if you go from lily farm to lily farm what they name there lilies in common names is really up to them. I really appreciate knowing that you like flowers in meant alot to me .... especially that you liked the way I put it all together ...... I wish I had closer pics of the candleabras and the design that surrounded the bible. This wedding was primarily made of Red Roses, Stargazer Lillies, White Dendrobium Orchids and greenery and filler flowers. Simple but elegant ....... My brain could not get off the religous aspect of the pic ..... and just see the ladder .... I tried to see it when Rhino told me that Jacobs Ladder was close ..... but he was saying he didn't know what those people in the bottom corner were ...... so then I looked in the corner ... Dooj, My first job ever in life was at a bakery. Mrs. Hausman bless her heart taught me to decorate cakes as a teenager and I have been decorating since. I don't make the cake tho ...... I have a woman who is great at making the cake in sheets ......... and fills them with what ever the brides want. She ices them sometimes and ice them sometimes but I always decorate them. This particular cake had to be cut so it was done in three sections by the cake maker and then handed off to me to cut and ice, cake maker is now doing cakes like this one on her own, except for the floral. My bride had seen a similar design and loved it .......... we just made it happen. The icing, sugar pearls and floral are all done by me but the cake was fabulously delicous ....... marbled with raspberry filling and the cake lady used fresh raspberries to make her filling with ...... once again it was a team effort and her and I worked well together. WW You were right on with going over some of the original commands given Duke. Just reminding him of what he already knows. He can still stay for 20secs and wait while his treat lay on the otherside of the room waiting for the command for him to go retrieve it. It took a couple of tries ...... I think the was trying to move up in the pecking order of the family pack. MaryPoppins I find it quite intelligent of you to wait out the couple days with the dogs to get to know each other. I know it might have seemed like you were living in hell for a couple of days but it is so worth it. You are quite the family for being patient with the dogs until they became close to one another. I know now that this can be done and is done all the time. There are few times that dogs just don't get along but usually you can see it through. We wanted to get Duke a friend last year and took in a puppy for a day to test it out .... I did not sleep a wink that night, Duke just was not having it. I gave the puppy back the next day ...... it was fine with the owners they had another buyer for he pup but wanted to give me the opportunity with Duke. Well This last summer my parents came up for the summer to help us build. They had a Rottweiller and favor Bruno just as much as we favor Duke. In essence the were both under two at the time and were still pups. It only took a couple of days of them hanging out together and establishing what was whose and what wasn't before they got along. They spent months together and had a great time. In fact Duke helped Bruno get into a bit better shape. Bruno is huge and was having breathing difficulties at first. It made me wish that I had been more patient with the other puppy we had, he was a kewl dog. But, at least now I know that usually you can put two dogs together, first couple of days may be hard but they do work things out. Since last summer Duke has made two other dog friends and yes it took a day or two but now when Duke is over Lexis' house he goes by Lexis rules and when Lexis is with us she goes by Dukes rules ....... its really funny but they are good doggy friends. I do have a concern of what I am going to do when we go on vacation and can't take Duke with us on this vacation. We will have to figure this one out ...... There is only one couple I know whom I trust who have the facilities to take on such a big dog and the space he needs to run. We have taken care of there horses but the horses are different. They stay in pasture or in open stable the can come and go in. Duke is spoiled and stays in house with us ..... he even has his blankee to cover with seeing as its cold up here and he is a short haired dog. We thought about knocking him out with Dog Valium which had done before but it was only a 5 hour flight. 14-19 hours isn't kewl for that. Its definately something we have to consider. Digi

Many of us here at The Cafe use psuedo names and have avatars or pics that we also put up to represent some part of ourselves or maybe our beliefs that we convey to others. I have often been asked about my name and what it means. I have been told that I have a really kool pic by a couple of people who happen to like it. When I look at ones name and avatar, I feel it's a representation of that person, whom they are. I may read that representation correctly and then again I might not. I have with many of you only my personal hypothesis of what your pseudo name and avatars mean. Instead of guessing from now on I hope that many of you will share on your chosen names and avatars. I'll go first DIGITALIS Digitalis, otherwise known as foxglove, is one of the most famous medicinal plants in human history. In the late 1700s it was identified as a medicine for what was then called dropsy, and which is now referred to as congestive heart failure. It was a medicine that allegedly made the heart glad. In the next two centuries, it became one of the most widely used plants for all manner of heart illnesses. The beautiful foxglove healed the failing heart; it resolved hearts that were beating too fast or too irregularly. Its effects were rapid, and in those with failing or irregular hearts, the effects were almost miraculous. The medicine made from digitalis is digoxin. Digitalis is as dangerous as it is healing. It is poisonous and can be fatal if you eat its leaves. Although, its leaves are used for the medicine that heals ones heart. My heart had been poisoned and hurt and while I was lurking at Waydale years ago I began a healing process so when I signed up, being a florist and having knowledge of flowers, I signed up as Digitalis and have been known as since time from Waydale to GreaseSpots ..... My Old avatar was of a heart man jumping up and down years ago and I thank Templelady who helped me find it and put it up. My New Avatar "Never Let Them See You Cry" I have found that in this life you sometimes need rhino skin to make it through without getting hurt. Well my skin isn't of rhino, I do get hurt. But when I am hurt I am going to overcome and handle it and never allow anything like TWI get me down again. So my avatar reminds me to be strong. My signature is to remind me that tears are meant to be saved for tears of love and joy, that happiness can be found in tears. Thats me in a nutshell, Digi ........................ Here are three photos from a wedding ..... I did all the flowers myself and designed them myself. I wish I knew how to make them larger but if you click on them they will enlarge a bit. This bridal bouquet is one of my favorite designs yet. It was also a wonder to work with such a truly amazing bride. In the background of the bridal photo you can also the candelabras etc. ........ LaProchaine ...... sad thing for me is I have a scanner and don't know how to use it. But it also faxes and copies and that I do know how to do. I can scan a pic to make a pic on a sheet of photo paper. I just don't know how to scan them into my computer. But I was just told to purchase a photo program so now I have to find one of those .......... I am really illiterate when it comes to computers. I just learned how to get an avatar back after not having one for 5 years. Prior to that Mo/templelady had come to my house and put up my old avatar.... she is really talented with a computer. Dooj What a nice place to display your art. It seems most paintings, photos etc are done with women who have dark hair ......... I was hoping to find a woman painted with long blonde hair. Most of the women on my fathers side of the family are blondes ....... There is an artist up here who offered to draw me nude in color. I told her I was in awe she would offer but I couldn't do nude .......... so she offered to do it with a partial wrap of fabric to catch my long blonde hair but I really wanted a painting and not a drawing and she doesn't paint. So many blondes in my family ... .... most people I notice paint light browns to black in hair ......... very few of blondes ...... why is this? We must not be very popular LOL Digi

I don't want to buy from your friend I want to purchase from you, that may sound silly but its just my heart ...... I know your spring crop will be grand and you will be able to produce that razzleberry. There is no time for me to be able to have it for the cold part of this winter now because it just started and will end by end of Feb. I don't have time to sit and crochette all day to be able to make it happen. So lets plan on something from your spring crop to make sure next winter is handled for me. Hubby told me to go for the color he says "you always wear tans or a variation or the variations of blacks and greys ...... you might ad some white or ivory.... and I am tired of it and would like to see you in something new a new color, especially if its something you will wear all throughout the winter." So yes I would be interested in seeing your pinks/razzleberry ...... but I do not want any glitter ..... If I have to crochett what I want myself I will ........ Didn't we have a boot button in that chatroom where if someone was hostile or down right vulgar we could boot them. If they had like three boots they were out of there for a day or so compeletely and could not return? I remember booting someone along with two others booting at the same time ...... this guy was a real pervert and he disappeared ......... it was great we were able to make him go because he was a predator. Dooj, What Gallery are your represented at? I know you mentioned you are waiting for the cite to up and run but the gallery still exists physical form yes? Hopefully there cite will be up and running soon. And also Hubby will find the box I need soon too. He is sweet ... but there is no rush I need Powefilleds time to send his wife the pics of her and I so he is going to teach me to scan then he will also help in putting my pics on here. Mystar is the art work you do of the planets just for sake of art or do you also teach in conjuction with the plantets? Just asking because I homeschool and thought you might lead me to some sites or info that has great viewing of the plantets along with explanations for my 12 year old son. We have OuterSpace next semester to do and I need to get a head start on the planets, I remember little about it LOL. I have materials from home school but need more avenues to do a good job.
