CoolChef, Thanks so much for the new batter mix. Beer has always been a favorite for batter here with my family and friends. I will switch the from beer to milk one night and surprise them. Will let you know how it goes. I get the Curry from Carrs Health Food and Specialty Spices ..... section of Market. I have to order to be able to purchase anything more than a few ounces of it. I ordered a pound and it is due in on the 27th or 28th. Lasts quite awhile for curry goes far. I have about an ounce left now. They have several different curry spices, this one just happens to be my favorite. It is actually orange in color instead of yellow. The other curry seasonings they have are nice but this one is the BOMB. This Carrs is the only one who has this particular curry in our state it is in Wasilla and I drive in about 30 miles or so and do my shopping and place my order in person. I can see if they take phone orders for you, but am willing to send you an ounce or two of the fresh for you to test yourself. I can send along info if they do take phone orders. PowerFilled, .............. Just remember not to eat the yellow snow. As kids we use to put vanilla extract on fresh snow white and powdery and eat it. It was like ice cream to us. I have't ice skated in awhile, but the culdesac at the end of our road where I driveway comes off is a perfect place for it ........... my son says he is gonna get me out to try. WhiteDove .......... CoolChef, Dude .......... you will absolutely love this curry ........... its my special ingredient in my killer potato salad, just a dash or two .......... but makes it absolutely wonderful. People who shy away from curry altogether have eaten the seconds and even third helpings on this salad. coolchef, I loved fresh cooked carrots will definately try it with Dill. I use to belong to a cooking club. None of us chefs but we came up with some great recipes. I love to cook .......... make all kinds of excellent fudges for holidays, including white chocolate, with hazelnuts or pecans and coconut. Really great. I don't know if you like curry or not, but I sent away for a pound of this killer curry, If you enjoy curry let me know and I will send you an ounce or so of it and see what you think. A SOLDIERS CHRISTMAS POEM The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light, I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight. My wife was asleep, her head on my chest, My daughter beside me, angelic in rest. Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white, Transforming the yard to a winter delight. The sparkling lights in the tree I believe, Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve. My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep, Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep. In perfect contentment, or so it would seem, So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream. The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near, But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear. Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know, Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow. My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear, And I crept to the door just to see who was near. Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night, A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight. A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old, Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold. Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled, Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child. "What are you doing?" I asked without fear, "Come in this moment, it's freezing out here! Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve, You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!" For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift, Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts.. To the window that danced with a warm fire's light Then he sighed and he said "Its really all right, I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night. Sleep without fear as you turn out your lights." I have a white background, but, I see everyone in the same color, so how do I see each individual chatter in their own chosen color so I mark the conversations easier? Sometimes two or three people maybe be on one subject while two or more be on another subject and when I see everyone in the same color I am in I get a little confused as who is replying to who. So if I know to specifically watch for Mary in Pink and Shellon in Black and I am in Blue it is easier to track our conversation. I know that HAP prefers teal so I will watch for him and that I believe Bliss comes in on purple etc.... I would like to see the individual colors to easier track the conversations, I have a hard time with my vision and seeing all in one color and keeping up with who is speaking to who. I really do like Flash Chat it is awesome and state of the art and am trying to work with it, I hope you don't find my request a nuisance but just curious if there is a way for you to help me achieve this color goal. Oilfield, We spent Christmas in Arizona once when I was a child. We were in the desert didn't know what we were going to to for decorating. so........ We picked up Tumble Weed and piled 3-5 pieces together, can't remember the exact quanitity, just so it looked cool, then we added lights to it and a few pretty knick knacks. Truly the most innovative Christmas Tree we had ever had. Digi

Dill Weed is great with salmon and halibut. I use fresh dill weed in my beer batter for my fish and of course garlic and beer. I love Dill with fish in general its excellent seasoning for salmon and halibut if you like dill. Enjoy your salmon Coolchef, Johny your the man, Digi

CoolChef, Another great way to have smoked salmon rather than just plain lox. Onion Bagel Toasted, with cream cheese and smoked salmon is another favorite of mine. Mstar, That was a brilliant deduction. ....................... Cool, There are alot of men out there that can relate. When my hubby decides on occassion he wants to have a beer with the guys .......... I say go for it. I know, I'll go shopping with my girlfriends, we will stop at LaMex to eat and often have a drink. Chloe has a great stance and her weight is absolutely perfect for her breed. I can't wait to see more pics. Hubby and I are going to develop new film of Duke tomorrow seeing as he is almost full grown now, we just took new pics to post. He is 2 yrs and 4 months. Full size Dobermans generally grow up until 3 yrs. Some do stop earlier but Duke is giving no sign. But his weight and size proportianately are superb. He has gotten much better about not pawing my hands when I am on the computer too. I think he just got jealous of me being on the computer and wanted my attention.
