  1. In ten years I may feel the need for 'depends'. In ten years I guarantee you I will no longer be able to 'feel' anything with my hands or feet. Feelings come and feelings go...... Whoever said they 'feel like a beer'? I bet you don't look like one, or do you? I love the English Language and how we can misuse it..... Myself included.....
  2. I don't see any harm in trying to UNDERSTAND what it is someone 'thinks they know', or finding out WHY someone has come to their own conclusions about 'theory' or 'issues'. I find it facinating and quite educational to learn what it is and why it is that people believe and have these differences of opinion. I also like figuring out what makes things tick. I like learning. I think if we shut our minds to learning we shut down and stop living. Doesn't mean we are all going to agree on things., nor do we have to agree., but its really invigorating to 'discover' new things and learn more about our fellow-man/woman kind. Its a dull world if all I have to offer it is a 'narrow mind'. Love you guys/gals!
  3. Yeah, Oakspear -- IT IS CLEAR --- We all see things with our eyes of understanding differently. WHY? Because -- WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT. No two persons unless perhaps (identical twins and even they can tell you each one has something unique about themselves.) See everything from the same Perspective. There are so many different Languages out there, yet NO ONE IS BATTLING over which one is the BEST or the ONLY TRUE LANGUAGE? It matters where we are born, raised, and what we are taught., besides that, its whatever WE AS UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS CHOOSE. Its in our life choices and we ought to ALL be thankful we STILL live in a country where we can THINK FREELY. God gave us "Freedom of Will". Our walks with God are INDIVIDUAL therefore DIFFERENT, and Uniquely SPECIAL. It all boils down to 'our own thoughts and feelings about God'. No matter how much we STUDY -- or SEEK TRUTH --- ALL OF US STILL ONLY KNOW IN PART!!! One day we will have the 'great revealing' and we will all be amazed to find out -- it was all very SIMPLE -- and we thought it were more COMPLEX!!! Let us embrase our own individual uniqueness and oneness with our Creator? It won't be the same for each of us, why? God is a Universal God., capable of loving us all including 'the unlovely'. For this I am thankful, not to anyone but Thankful to GOD..... Cheers! Enjoy being unique and in love with God. I know I am.
  4. I wish to add a whole-heartedly AMEN to all of that...... Its with the 'heart' man believes unto Righteousness and with the mouth 'confession' is made. To me, I believe this means, it matters what is in a person's heart, and with that, its gonna show by what they do and in how they LIVE their lives. Who are we living our lives for? If its for GOD, then we are a testiment to the greatness of God and God's great Unconditional Love. Who ever said "Actions speak louder than words"? This is SO TRUE.... Its NOT about 'religous and dogmatic differences'. If we are 'One in the Spirit', we are 'One in the Lord'. If we have God's Spirit within, it will be Manifest 'without'......... So many people, from different walks of life, backgrounds, nationalities, but only one GOD..... Whatever it takes for us 'individually' that will BRING OUT THE BEST of US....... by whatever Means! For me there is 'light and darkness'. Good vs Evil. I choose to be on the Good side........
  5. My Dad's famous Words of Wisdom........ "I may not always be Right, but I'm NEVER Wrong". "I may not know EVERYTHING, but there's NOTHING I don't know." ---------------- as to Predictions --- I have my own Opinions......... A Prophet will bring forth things that are 'written in the Word', he does not Predict the Future. A False Prophet, however, will make predictions that may or may not happen but the TEST of a TRUE Prophet is that Anything they do bring forth -- is TRUE and ALWAYS COMES TO PASS...... Now, I also believe that there are people to this day that 'dream' and if one can get those dreams rightly interpretated, then they can make sometimes clear and precise predictions. I would Not Be So Confident in any of my 'predictions' to spew them out of my mouth for fear of them NOT coming true and looking like a FOOL....... I have recently had a situation where In cleaning out my heating duct in a upper room, part of the vacuum attachment fell inside it and went to the floor below. Well, it was Only in my Dream that night that I discovered a way to retrieve the thing which I lost. I eagerly got up the next morning (which was yesterday) and put the plan into motion, and IT WORKED --- I used the method from my dream and it was successful in retrieving the part. I saved plenty of money cause I did NOT need to call a heating and a/c man to help me. I've had many dreams that have solved 'opportunities' and my husband would always tell me, they sound crazy and they Won't work. He said that about this one, and it DID WORK!! And most of them DO work. Goes to show I solve MOST of my 'opportunities' through visions in my Dreams!! Luckily for me I remembered this one once I woke up. Sometimes I don't always remember enough of the details. I also get my best 'ideas' from dreams I have. I think if GOD was going to reveal the future to ANYONE -- he ought to do it with a WELL EDUCATED PERSON who can Clearly articulate the details and specifics in a highly intelligent manner in which the rest of us 'idiots' can easily understand things we should prepare for.... for instance..... If there is to be a Catagory anything Hurricane or Earthquake, I need to hear only: Get up, Pack your things, Gas up the car, you need to head (south, west, east, north) - just evacuate AWAY from the area to get hit., and do it within X amount of hours or ELSE!! All other details I don't really need to know except --- How long will I be away - so I know how MUCH to pack n take w/me. Some things just happen without warning -- and we should be prepared anyway. Like for the Return of Christ. Are we prepared? Anyone remember Y2K? Oh the panic that set in that year. It was one of my busiest in the Printing Company I had. People printing up those WARNING Flyers. I knew in my logical mind that a computer's time clock was not an ISSUE, it would just go to the next available year, OR Bill Gates would have a new Windows Program to Fix the problem and HE DID...... Nothing catastrophic occurred........ people paniced for NOTHING......... I didn't tho, and I made a lot of money that year., so I was grateful! I think if we lived in Love rather than Fear, we'd all be more relaxed. Blessings Jeannette
  6. THE HUSBAND STORE A store that sells husbands has just opened in Dallas, Texas where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates: "You may visit the store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the attributes of the men increase as the shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a catch. You may choose any man from a particular floor or you may choose to go up a floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!" So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads "Floor 1 - These men have jobs." The second floor sign reads: "Floor 2 - These men have jobs and love kids." The third floor sign reads: "Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love kids, and are extremely good-looking." "Wow," she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going. She goes to the fourth floor and reads the sign: "Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love kids, are drop-dead good-looking and help with the housework." "Oh! Mercy me!" she exclaims, "I can hardly stand it!" Still, she goes to the fifth floor. The sign reads, "Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love kids, are drop-dead gorgeous, help with the housework, and have a strong romantic streak." She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor. The sign reads, "You are visitor 3,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store. Watch your step as you exit the building and have a nice day!"

Top 10 reasons trick-or-treating is better than sex: 10) You are guaranteed to get at least a little something in the sack. 9) If you get tired, you can wait 10 minutes and go at it again. 8) The uglier you look, the easier it is to get some. 7) You don't have to compliment the person who gives you some. 6) It's O.K. when the person you're with fantasizes you're someone else, because you are. 5) Forty years from now you'll still enjoy candy. 4) If you don't like what you get, you can always go next door. 3) It doesn't matter if the kids hear you moaning and groaning. 2) Less guilt the morning after. 1) YOU CAN DO THE WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD.

    The Cone of Alpha

Too bad God hasn't told SOMEONE to go out and build another ARC -- New Orleans certainly needed one. I think there needs to be a totally safe shelter where folks can go to withstand these floods that would save lives.
  9. I personally do not agree that the Bible is full of Misconceptions, contradictions, etc. I think man's (women included) interpratation of scripture IS, however. I sorta agree that perhaps since the Bible is written by man that it does contain SOME errors, perhaps typos and so forth. I think that overall, that God would not have us Ignorant, and that things are more simple than complex.....
  10. Very, Very WELL PUT Danny!! Thank you. SO Many Christians get caught up in the Trees and they don't see the Forest! Infact, if the trees aren't all "Evergreen" those of a different kind are often IGNORED or accused of being 'weeds, or thorns' and therefore not worthy to be called Trees in the Forest. (for lack of a better analogy.) I think we as Believers are encouraged to GUARD THE MYSTERY -- and the MYSTERY is NOT theology or opinion but pure FACT -- Jews and Gentiles can all be Saved and have Life Everlasting. That Death is not the END for us, all because of God and His Son, Christ Jesus. That's the hope that is in us - and that HOPE is what we are to share with others (when they ask us a reason of the hope that is in us.). All the doctrinal differences are just that! (Differences of Opinion) Certainly we all agree and worship God (one on one). If not - then we are 'natural man'. Love ya'll Jeannette

  13. In order to understand this one, you'd have to do a word study on the word "Word". :D There's the written word, someone's verbal word (I give you my word on that one.. Promise.) Then there are other various interpretations for the Word.... We can't just pluck phrases (Excuse me, I guess we CAN and we HAVE, and folks Continue To.)from scripture and expect to prove a point? A thorough study is necessary tho. God's Word simply is NOT confusing or Contradicting. There has to be some reasonable explaination that can only be found in an indept study to 'rightly-divide' the Word (Bible). Just like the word lord, and other words. There are figures of speech, and other things which were not meant to be taken literally. Our language is easily misunderstood and taken wrong. The written word, depending on how someone reads it, can get misunderstood. Personally, I think if God wanted us to think Jesus was Him, he would have simply spelled it out, perhaps like this. "Jehovah came to earth in the flesh, placed his seed in Mary and got born on earth as a man, and still somehow left a part of him in heaven so he could resurrect himself.. His earthly name was Jesus Christ., once he died and resurrected himself, THEN he sat back in heaven. Sounds crazy? Well, that theory would., and to me the Trinity sounds CRAZY.. Some plucked phrases that come to MY own little pea brain are: God is Spirit --- God is not a Man that He should Lie, Nor the Son of Man. --- Jesus was the Son of Man who came to seek and to save that which was Lost. ---- God is the Alpha and Omega -- Jesus is NOT! ---- Jesus is on the right hand of the Throne of God, Believers will be seated on the Left Hand (would that make US God as well?)....... the list could go on and on... Still even in those phrases what is the word God in its original language? God, Lord, Word are all titles, but there are the Given Names for the Almighty Father -- and then those for the Son. The Father's name 'Jehovah', the son's name "Jesus"........ If we are joint-heirs with Jesus Christ, then we collectively are also PART OF THE GOD-HEAD BODILY, in my mind that's the FAMILY OF GOD --- Heirs and joint-heirs. With Jehovah being the Head of the Family Unit., the ultimate authority figure! --------------------------------------------- And for those who might think because I made the first post that I have ANYTHING to do with CES or personally know ANYONE from there, let me set the record straight. I knew John Lynn, and went to hear him speak in Seattle WA some 7-8 yrs ago, and he has had CES send me things via email ever since! Also, I haven't seen John Lynn's name mentioned or written in any article from CES's Sower Magazine of lately either. I do know John got remarried -- but that's ALL I know. I'm enjoying the mental stimulation from all the comments, however, and I thank you.
  14. I received this interesting article in my email., curious what interest or opportunities for discussion this might receive. This e-mail is from Spirit & Truth Fellowship International / Christian Educational Services. Hello and God bless you! We wanted to let you know about a new article that we have posted concerning a debate between a former Biblical Unitarian and the authors of our book One God & One Lord. Below is the opening paragraph: What follows is a lively exchange between a former "Biblical Unitarian" (the belief in one God, and that Jesus is not "God the Son," but the Son of God) who has now become a Trinitarian (the belief in a "three-in-one" God), and the authors of our book, One God & One Lord: Reconsidering the Cornerstone of the Christian Faith. We make it available as a brief glimpse into the debate on this subject that has been raging since the doctrine known as the "Trinity" was constructed by Roman Catholic theologians from about 300-450 AD. Click here to read: A Letter to the Authors of One God & One Lord. If the above link does not work, please cut and paste this link into your address bar: http://www.biblicalunitarian.com/modules.p...article&sid=205 We trust this article will be a great blessing and resource to you. 15. "Would you eat Dog poop for 1 million Dollars?" NO but HELL NO -- BUT -- I'd sure figure a way to get it done. For example. I already know my brother has 'dog poop eating experience'. When we were children, he use to take potatoe chips outside and use doggy poo for 'bean dip'. It use to really gross us out, but I caught on to him. Neighbor kids were betting him money to do it. SOOOO I'd call up my brother offer him 1/4th of the Million to do it, and keep the rest of the money for myself. Guilt? Naw, I would be giving my brother a business opportunity for which he would not resist.
  16. It was in the late 70s, and I'm sorry but I don't remember who wrote the book. I do remember it was written by several people not just one author. I might try, but no, my brother did not write the book, and I would happily tell you my brother does not have the capabilities to write a book. I'm wondering if you might care to share about your 'deprogramming' experience. Were you one of those who were kidnapped by Ted Patrick and his gang? I have a friend who still now lives in MA who was kidnapped by Ted Patrick. She was put through days of 'Jesus Christ IS God, or you worship with the Anti-christ' retorick. CFN (Christ for the Nations) has a Bible College in Dallas Texas. They are still going strong today.
  17. Perhaps we (most ladies out there - me included) need a guys defination of Inner Ugly vs Inner Beauty. In case I have it wrong. I'm thinking most guys think a woman needs to be a 'Barbie Doll', with a 'beautiful mind and heart'. Now isn't THAT the perfect combo? As with all 'humans' I think there is 'confidence' and then 'arrogance' (over confidence.). Moderation is always Best. I admire people who are confident in themselves, their abilities, and yet not too arrogant to see the wonderful things about others. So guys care to further explain 'ugly'?

    Go Ahead Laugh!

These may be for women more than men. Subject: Little bits of wisdom Games for when we are older: 1. Sag, you're It. 2. Hide and go pee. 3. 20 questions shouted into your good ear. 4. Kick the bucket 5. Red Rover, Red Rover, the nurse says Bend Over. 6. Musical recliners. 7. Simon says something incoherent. 8. Pin the Toupee on the bald guy Signs of menopause: 1. You sell your home heating system at a yard sale. 2. You have to write post-it notes with your kids' names on them. 3. You change your underwear after a sneeze. Old is when: 1. Going bra-less pulls all the wrinkles out of your face. 2. You don't care where your spouse goes, just as long as you don't have to go along. 3. Getting a little action means you don't need fiber today. 4. Getting lucky means you find your car in the parking lot. 5. An all-nighter means not getting up to pee! Thoughts for the Week: Wouldn't it be nice if whenever we messed up our life we could simply press ctrl alt delete' and start all over? Stress is when you wake up screaming and then you realize you haven't fallen asleep yet. Just remember ... if the world didn't 'suck', we'd all fall off. If raising children was going to be easy, it never would have started with something called labor! Brain cells come and brain cells go, but fat cells live forever. But most of all, remember -- A friend is like a good bra: hard to find, supportive, comfortable, and always close to your heart!
  25. ex70shouston -- I take alittle stand against that one..... I DO NOT LOOK LIKE MY MOTHER DID WHEN SHE WAS 48. She has been a cronic smoker and has aged beyond her years. Her attitude was always negative, and I never saw her smile, or heard her laugh. At 48 she looked like 68, now at 73 she looks like 93+. If you are referring to 'weight', Perhaps the men, too, have changed just as the women. Its not always so 'cut n dry'. I think in aging for men and women, ones 'attitude' plays a big role in the way one looks and feels. I don't see how you can judge someone by how their mother looked. What's that saying "Take a check up from the neck up"? Here's another one: "Be nice to people on your way up, or you might meet them on your way down". And, my personal favorite: "Beauty is skin deep". Man looks on the outward appearance, God looks on the heart. Our bodies are a product of an imperfect world. One day we will all look truly beautiful. Wouldn't you just laugh if one day God told you that, those whom we've all judged as 'ugly', were really 'beautiful'. What if the 'WORLD' has it all wrong?
