  1. And here I thought it was Evil Ways by Santana. Huh! The Doors song rocks!
  2. Wondered if anyone has had any contact with Gary or Lori. They were our branch coordinators in Portland in the 80' but moved I think to Idaho. 6th corp grads.
  3. Wild. I feel sort of lost answering to this post from so long ago. But I knew Darrell well. Lived with him, fellowshipped with him regularly. Took many classes with Darrell. I saw Darrell about 5 years ago now in Portland Or. but I didn't have a chance to catch up though, so I don't know what his stand is.
  4. Indeed. That's right. She was in The Fugitive.
  5. Ok. I think I follow and then what does Julianne Moore have to do with The Fugitive. She and Burt were in Boogie Nights. That's fine. Shouldn't the actress named be in a different movie? I guess I'm not following this that well. Can someone explain it to me?
  6. I knew an Oeding who ran our branch in Oregon early 90's. Must be a relative!
  7. Whenever you see the word All, you need to ask yourself is that ALL WITHOUT EXCEPTION, or ALL WITHOUT DISTINCTION. I think it was in my 3rd or 4th taking of PFAL that the coordinator pointed out what really VPW meant to say was ALL WITH DISTINCTION, not ALL WITHOUT DISTINCTION. Of course by this time I was 2 or 3 years into using the word All meaning WITHOUT EXCEPTION or WITHOUT DISTINCTION. If only I had used my senses more it could have helped me realize that All without any distinction at all would make All devoid of any meaning at all.
  8. Funny I thought I had posted. Here it is: I woke up this morning with the sun out shining in I found my mind in a brown paper bag but then
  9. Pistol shots ring out in a barroom night
  10. Name's John Coffie Ma'am, like the drink but not spelled the same.
  11. "I'd like to have me another order of them French Fried Potaters". "What are you doing with that lawnmower blade". "I aim to kill you with it". "Some folks call in a Slingblade! I call it a Kaiserblade!". "Your just a boy. You ought not to say things like that". Any of these ring a bell soul searcher?
  12. Asking leadership to check out any errors that might have been made in "The Word,ie, PFAL, CFS, W & U, let the double talk speak!
  13. Really I can't believe it! Has nobody seen SLING BLADE? Carl Childers AKA Billy Bob Thornton!
  14. I watched the movie last night so I went back in and made a change to these posts so I could give you the actual line from the movie. Hope that this makes it easier to guess this movie from just one line! Go for it!
  15. "I want to be baptized!" "I don't give a sh^T, get out of here." "Tomorrow's Sunday. Well go talk to the preacher and well get you baptized at the church. Now go on back to bed Hon. Well get you baptized in the morning." "Carl, What are doing with that hammer?" "I don't rightly know? I just a woke up a holding it."
  16. My guess is nobody has heard of this movie.....STREET KINGS. Sorry.. Lets open this up to a free post. Any takers?
  17. :P Your the Best. You have a wonderful heart. Your the Best. You would go to twig and everyone would say that. Go back home and hear it again. Then someone calls and your hear again. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  18. I see George. However Forrest Whitaker is not the lead actor. But I see your point. I'm going to throw out one more clue and it should be a shoe in, however, it may just be that no one has heard of this movie before. My taste in movies are not always those that are the most popular. I am trying to make choices for movies somewhat challenging for everyone and not too difficult which would take all the fun out of it for this thread. One last clue then, Keanu Reeves is the rogue cop. No goggling right.
