Quotes of the Way Ministry that sound false now to me

Beloved all

God loves us all my dear friends.

Yes talk about Quotes of the Way Ministry

1. “You are the Best”

if you tell some one they are the best than what are you? Maybe not the best

Would it be a better quote “We are growing into the best” because if we were the best now in be in heaven.

2. “Nothing but the word of God”

how we going to live without bread too

how about “lets eat God’s word with our bread”

3. “Scripture and verse”

look like a way to begin a fight to me only

how about “can we search the scriptures together”

4. “The truth shall set you free”

How can the truth set you free unless you act on it

how about “the truth opens the doors to freedom”

5. “Thus said the word”

Guess what words do not speak they are either spoken by some one or read by some one.

Maybe we could go back to “It is written”

6. “Like a hand in a glove”

but not all gloves fix my hand

maybe it could be “sorry I just do not have one here”

7. “Let the class lead them into tongues”

How can a class lead anyone it needs a person to directed it and teach it

may be “you lead them into tongues”

8. The quote about others “churches being dead”

how can a church be dead people die but a church only closes

maybe “lets work together with all churches”

this is enough to get us thinking

thank you

with love and a holy kiss blowing your way Roy

John 8:31 ---

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,

If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

John 8:32 ---

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Do you think it is a *safe bet* that the truth Jesus spoke of ---

was considerably different than the *truth* propounded by docvic?? ;)

6. “Like a hand in a glove” but not all gloves fix my hand

I once heard Mr. Wierwille explain his "hand in a glove" analogy. He was referring to a large glove, like a farmer's work glove, in which the hand would easily slide, not a form-fitting glove in which you would have to tug and pull.

I think one of the reasons most of us thought "tight-fitting glove" was he usually would also say in the same sentence, "...and works with a mathmatical exactness and a scentific precision." Exact...precise...connoting tightness, not a lot of wiggle-room.

IMO, this is an example of why it's difficult (if not impossible) to promote the "no private interpretation" doctrine as meaning "there is only one correct way to read and interpret God's words and will." We were speaking the same language, living in the same century and country, but our understanding of what someone else says or writes depends greatly on our upbringing, education, and experiences.

Beloved Dmiller and Kevlar2000

I see now VPW only knew about one kind of glove and one size

I guess we been taught the doctrine of a glove but we understood it as the doctrine of gloves

thank you so must
