how do you fertilize an idea ? what do you mean ? how do you make an idea productive ?

i guess you would take that idea and think about it a lot and figure out ways to take action regarding that idea ?

and hopefull have success with it ?

yes you take action by putting it on some kind a paper as a plan. drawing, poem, and the list is endless

then you edit the idea on paper until its day of its birth

the day you share it with others

with hopes it lives long

but one day it dies when everyone forgets about it

Great ideas don't die when people forget about them, they simply go dormant and wait for the right conditions before they germinate.

I think the question is not so much "How do you fertilize them?" but "When do you fertilize them?"

If you fertilize them when they are dormant, you will most likely be disappointed in their development.

Still, that doesn't mean you neglect to oversee their safety and well being in the interim.

excathedra - yes it does not die for good but until the next person gets that idea unless they do not die at all

waysider - yes you could say that "When do you fertilize them?" maybe you are right but this forming into a good tread about what happens to ideas and when to share them

I blessed we can not all see things the same which can open up our mind to new ideas

Your idea will never die if it is real.

Think of yourself as a thought in the mind of God.

Would God forget you?

Can God forget anything?

What I am saying is maybe life is reversed from the way we perceive it, your body may be lost but your love is hid in God.

If that is true then in reality we are not human per say, we are conscious energy using form for our experience.

That would mean our thoughts are more real from Gods point of view than our bodies.

If that is the case then your idea if it is real can never be lost even if all the material substance of the universe melts away.
