  1. So Terry and Bronte are still in huh? He and I were best of pals when we first got in the Word. He was pretty new when he undershepherded me, then we lived together for two years, running twigs, splitting twigs and playing lots of music and loving lots of people. We were as close as brothers in Christ could be. But then LCM threw me out and TC decided to take a stand and stay, and the last time I talked to him to tell him of the birth of my baby boy, he scorned me, derided me, and hung up on me. I have been hoping to hear that maybe he left TWI, but I guess good old Terrence Worth Christian is still hanging in there. Or is he? 2002 was a bit back...
  2. Noooo! Oh well, nice to know they get along amicably...
  3. How about "sodomite"? Or "queer"? We can call them queers freely now ya know. There is a queer show called "Queer As Folk" on Showtime, and also a show called "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy". So even though it used to be considered sort of a "racial epithet" to call a gay person a queer, now it's ok because they call themselves that. Oh, yeah, there is also a gay rights group called Queer Nation, and one of the gay slogans is "We're here and we're queer". So, "queer" is ok now, right?
  4. Ok Long Gone, But let me just ask you this: If a married couple gave their consent for their fifteen year old son to marry a thirty year old man, would this be acceptable to you?
  5. So Long Gone, let me get this straight. Are you saying that if a couple gave consent that their 15 year old son marry a thirty year old man, that this would be ok? Yes or no.
  6. MJ- you crack me up! You said I never said any thing of the sort. I don't know how you arrived at that conclusion. And I don't agree with that quote either. Now you say that no parent would ever give consent in a situation like that. Well, parents have and do give consent to their young daughters. You just said that your mother was married at fourteen, and your sister at thirteen. Well, I am assuming that your Mom and Dad are just that: A Mom-female and your Dad-male. What about present day gay couples who have already been allowed to adopt children? And when gay couples are allowed to marry legally, they too will adopt children. When their children grow up, then it is not too far fetched to be concerned that this possibility of a very young boy being given parental consent by their gay parents to marry an older man. And if it is legal today for hetero couples to give parental consent in such a situation, at that point it would be considered "discrimination" for gay couples to not be allowed to do the same thing. I can see the lawsuits coming now.. So, anybody else?
  7. Ok. I started this thread, and my original concern about same sex marriages was addressed by only one person and that was Rocky. There may have been a few other comments by some, but it was mostly addressed by Rocky. He disagreed with me, but that's his right and is entitled to his opinion, which I respect. I will re-address it. I believe that same sex marriage could end up being harmful to society for this reason, and I am not going to simply say; "Cuz it's aginst the Bible!" I believe it could be harmful to our society because of a possible scenario that could play out: If it is legal-as it is in many states in America-for an underaged person to marry an older person with parental consent, like a 15 year old girl marrying a 38 year old man, which would obviously be a heterosexual union, then it is possible that once same sex marriages are allowed, that a 15 year old boy could marry a 38 year old man as long as the boy had his parents consent. Today we would call that kind of a relationship pedophilia, tomorrow some would simply call it just another strange marriage of the "young to the older" (I'd still call it pedophilia), but it would be legal. Rocky contends that this is not a threat, and that the hetero version has only or mostly happened in the in southern Utah where the Mormons have done it "ala polygamy". But I am sure that we wouldn't have to look too far in other places in this country to find similar arrangements. Hetero arrangements that is. I contend that once we open the door to same sex marriages, why should we not afford the same legal right of parental consent to same sex young and older couples? If little Mary is in love with 38 year old Bob, and has the right to marry him if her parents let her, then why couldn't little Johnny, who is in love with 38 year old Dick, marry him with parental consent? Like I said before, this may seem absurd now, this may seem "ridiculous" now. But what was thought about same sex marriages 25 years ago? Who would have ever thought that NAMBLA could even exist? But it is here, and they even have a website for hells sakes. Right now the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) pedophile group is trying to gain legal rights for older men to have "love"/sexual relationships with boys as young as 12! I am sure that they are salivating over the possibilities of same sex marriage which would be a serious step in the direction that they want to go. Does anyone else see this as something that same sex marriages could lead to? Same sex marriages is the topic of this thread, but this is the first thing I threw out. It does have to do with impact on our society. Anybody?
  8. I think that if God says to put to death any man who lies with another man in Leviticus 20:13, that a law that allows a man to legally marry another man, or a woman to marry another woman is to say the very least, "wrong". We do live in another time than the time of Leviticus, and therefore I do not believe that they should be put to death. I do believe that they should be treated with the love of God, as Jesus Christ told us to love others. Times have changed. Christ has come and done the redemption thing and Grace is here. But I do not believe that we should change our laws which will essentially say that "they are really the same as us" and therefore should have the same privileges. If God says it is wrong and is deviant behavior, then laws permitting their legal marriage would a be a law that would be contrary to God's will and would be the same as putting a "Government Stamp Of Approval" upon the lifestyle.. Hey, I have worked with a number of gay chicks on board ships, and one of them I consider a good friend. She is funny, intelligent, and a very hard worker. And when she gets drunk she likes guys and I have had to fend off her amorous attempts a time or two. Haha! But when she asked me what I thought of the fact that she was gay, I told her that I didn't think it was right with the way I believe God designed life to be (my reasoning being purely Biblical), but that I loved her as a friend and that I believed that God wants the best for her. And, we are still friends. Saw her just last week when I was aboard one of the ships I used to work on. We hugged and said hi and caught up with our goins ons.. Love the person? Well of course! Put a government stamp of approval on the lifestyle? No...
  9. So, not to pry, but are they in fact divorced?
  10. I don't think I could have said it better than PamSandiego. I think I would only leave out the term "black hole in my life".. Thanks Pam... :)-->
  11. "Log" Cabin Republicans? Just what "was" the reasoning behind the choice of that name for gay Republicans?
  12. Me too Rocky and Zix! Common ground here too.. That Married With Children used to gag me to the max. Roseanne too. I watched both of them a time or two to see why people liked it. Not only were the dads buffoons, but I just hated the sarcasm of the young kids.. And as an aside, do you know who absolutely loved to watch "Married With Children" and always made sure to tape the epsidodes if he had to miss them? Walter Cummins. I never could figure that one out...
  13. Not a homosexual but rather a pedophile? Ok, how 'bout this? He was a homosexual pedophile. And, he had a wig! Uggh, what a friggin creep he was... The guy was a queer pedophile who simply wanted some young c**k. He deceived me into thinking that he could get me a job on the offshore oil rig that he worked on, and since it was his two week off period, I could come to his place for dinner. And so I did. He deceived me into thinking that he wanted to help me out and be his friend, and I was gullible and stupid at first. He didn't get any farther than trying to rub my back and ask me for sex at the same time because at that point I kicked his a$$ and then walked out. The question was asked what would be lost in our society if there were no homosexuals, and my answer was that that tiny chapter in the history of our society would not have happened. And, I am aware of the fact that seductions/molestations are not unique to homosexuals. But that attempt would not have happened if he had not had a "penchant for penis", that's all..
  14. How about, I wouldn't have had the fifty year old queer who tried to seduce me in his mobile home down in Louisiana when I was sixteen, and I had to commit assault to get away from him. If there were no homosexuals, that wouldn't have happened... So the answer would be: Society would lose "homosexual assaults on young boys if there were no homosexuals.
  15. That was an interesting article Zixar. I have to agree with the authors point of view, provided that his description of the functions of the branches of government are correct. But to the best of my recollection of how our government is supposed to work, I think he is right...
  16. Rocky- I looked it up. I had added an extra s in there. You had it right-Massachusetts- But you mentioned, and I quote: I think you may have misunderstood me when I mentioned something similar, but I think I didn't carry my thought through when I wrote it. Let me clarify. The gay community has often said, "What difference does it make what a man or woman does in the privacy of their own home?" I guess what I wanted to say was, even though I disagree with the whole homosexual scene, I agree that they should have the right to do whatever it is they do with each other in the privacy of their own homes. And maybe that won't have a negative effect on society. My concern is not about unmarried gay couples, but rather, if the marriage right is granted to gay couples, I feel that there is a possibility that the marriage of an underaged gay person to a much older gay person-with parental-consent could logically follow suit, which , I think, would be way weird and would open the doors to what I refer to as legalized homosexual pedophilia. Here is a possible scenario, that I don't really think is too far fetched: Adam and Frank get married, and with it comes the full legal rights that heteros have. Since it is biologically impossible for them to have children, they adopt a cute little baby boy. This baby boy grows up around the gay scene, and learns from his "parents" (sorry, I have a hard time saying "parents" in this case) that "gay is ok". And as could very well happen, the little boy, at fourteen, discovers that he too is in fact gay. (I am not saying that all kids in this parental situation will end up gay, but they very well could end up gay.) Now, once this young kid discovers that he is now gay, and has had a few gay relationships, at sixteen, he finally meets a much older man who really understands him, has a gay relationship with him, and they want to get married and settle down. And so, even though Adam and Frank put their foot down and say "No Frankie no! He's much too old for you! Can't you see that he's just an a** bandit?", they finally relent and give young Frankie their blessing. Like I said before, At that point, why should we deny thirty eight year old "Robert" and sixteen year old little Frankie the same legal right which is presently afforded to thirty eight year old "Robert" and sixteen year old "Allison", if the young girl's parents have given consent? It is this marriage aspect of gay people that I think could lead to the opening of certain doors that I think could be harmful to our society. Not just "gay people doing things in the privacy of their own home". Sorry I wasn't clear on that Rocky. Thanks for the heads up. I was wondering if anybody else had ever considered this possibility, or, now that I have presented this possibility, does any one else consider it a concern? 17. Ok. Apparently Massachusetts is poised to move on with same sex marriage. First of all, and it may not surprise some of you, I am opposed to this. Since I don't live in Mass, however, it doesn't really matter if I am opposed or not. Why am I opposed? Well, I'll tell ya. But let me first preface it with this: The gay community has many times said; "What difference does it make what a man does with a man in the privacy of his own bedroom, Or a woman with a woman in her own bedroom". Ok, I do in fact think that homosexuality is incorrect behavior, and off of God's Word, but as you know, I am entitled to that opinion. You may not agree, but that's ok. This is America, and we are all entitled to our own opinions. Now, the gay community wants to say, well, we have rights too, and we believe that gay marriages will have no negative impact on our society in these here United States. Well, this is where I disagree. I do believe that it would, or very well could have a negative impact on our society. Why? Here it is: In this country, it is illegal for a boy or a girl to be married under the age of eighteen without parental consent. And many times, there have been girls under eighteem y.o, who with parental consent have married men that are far older than themselves. It has probably happened with young boys marrying older women, but no doubt it is more often older men marrying young girls. We as Citizens have seen this in the news from time to time, and maybe have even been close to it in our circles of friends and families. To many of us who have seen this, we have thought, "yeah, that's pretty weird, a thirty eight or forty year old guy marrying a seventeen year old girl. Just because the parents gave consent, don't make it right. He just wants some young booty"... Now, enter same sex marriages: Once this becomes established as "Ok", "No big deal", "Hey, it's legal!", we will begin to see what amounts to legalized pedophilia! If it is legal according to the Law, for a young woman under the age of eighteen to marry a man much much older than herself as long as she has parental consent, why should we, under the same Law disclude homosexuals-be they gay or lesbian-from marrying underaged children of the same sex as long as they have parental consent? It's ok for heteros, why should NAMBLA members be discluded? Now. Some of you may think that this possible scenario is really "reaching way too far." But, is it? Who would have ever thought twenty five years ago that we would even have an organization in this country known as the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA)? Not many of us to be sure. So I, for this reason among others, am definitely against same sex marriages. Anybody agree, disagree? [This message was edited by Jonny Lingo on February 05, 2004 at 11:25.]
  18. It is Craig. Hi Craig! Ya know, there is no reason that this could not be Craig. Last I heard he was wearin' spandex and teaching the ladies how to firm up as a personal trainer somewhere in Timbuktoo, Ohio or somethin'. He certainly could be sitting in his apartment after work at night, or during the day, posting to the Grease Spot, that unique website that bears one of his more common cliche's. Notice LL's profile? Not one ounce of info, and I think if I were LCM, I wouldn't put any info down either.. Hey Craig! How ya doin? Oh yeah, PFAL. I already stated what I have kept as far as doctrine is concerned. What I have kept physically though, is basically all of my books, Way Mags, syllabi, a transcript of LV, and etc..
  19. I would bet that Steve Sann would know. There is a link (I think) over at the In Memorium site where it is listed that Suzy Sann fell asleep. If you knew Steve and Suzy, you could send your condolences to Steve. Once you make contact with Steve, you could then inquire of Cindy's whereabouts..
  20. Still In? He married an 11th Corps woman named Bronte. Last I heard he was hanging with The Way still. He and I used to be very very close. Brothers you might say. But, I got disowned by TWI, and he shunned me pretty hard, like he was supposed to do. Anybody know anything?
  21. Koestler, who wrote The Thirteenth Tribe was accused of anti-Semitism for that particular work. He basically contended that the Jews that are in Israel now, are not the Jews or, Judaens of the Bible. He contends that these present day Jews are really European Jews who descended from the Russian Steppes, a bunch known as the Khazars. Koestler contends that these Khazars, a wild and unruly bunch needed a national religion to keep them under control. Therefore, the leaders of these Khazars sent to Israel (sometime in the middle ages) some emmissaries in order to import some Rabbis to come back and teach the Jewish religion to the people of "Khazaria". Once this was done, these people who had nothing to do with the bloodline of the Twelve Tribes, contends Koestler, became the "Thirteenth Tribe" and had nothing to do with the bloodline of the original Twelve Tribes. Furthermore, these Jews now in the geographic location of Israel are in fact imposters according to Koestler. It is an extensive bit of research, and was fairly dry and boring. But it did seem to have some substance, providing his bibliographical material was in fact true. But who knows? It was something that VPW told us to read for the sake of accurate history. BUt like I said, it was dry and boring, and I don't think I even finished it. I think I read that Koestler comitted suicide...
  22. Wow! Brady, did you know this would happen? Jonny Lingo
  23. Hey Jard, it's good to know that something nice is going on with such a sweet gal. On a farm in Upstate New York. Not quite Colorado, but certainly beautiful up there. Ok, now back to SEX. Yeah, I really love it. Glad God invented it to be sure :)-->
  24. Yeah, good old Jethro. He was my WOW bro. I always loved that guy, and he could play guitar and sing so well. I don't know whwre he is, but I do know that he came from Kokomo, Indianna. And maybe he went back to his hometown after he left The Way...
