Thanks, alfakat. How are you doing? I have been praying for you also.

I was too tired to update last nite.

I was able to see Shirley yesterday. Her head is shaved from above her left eye all the way over to her right ear. The drainage tube in sticking out of her head. Since she and I both knit and share knitting secrets and patterns, I told her that her knitting sister-n-law was there and she smiled a little smile.

Earlier yesterday, she asked her daughter Whitney where she was and Whitney said that she was in the hospital. She said that she knew that!!! Then Whitney told her St. Mary's. Shirley said "I bet your daddy is ranting and raving, isn't he?" You have to know my brother to appreciate that comment.. : - )

Then Whitney said that he wasn't, but Whitney knew that she was worried about the hospital bill as they have NO insurance. Whitney told her mom not to worry, that God had taken care of it!!!

(When I saw her they had just given her more morphine so she was pretty much out of it.)

Please continue to pray for her, Jerry, and Whitney and the rest of our families.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! ALL OF YOU. I just talked to Darla, another sister-n-law, and she said Shirley made it through. The radiologist was able to get all the way to the aneurysm and the other doctor had to place a drain for the excess blood to escape. That was around midnite.

She has a long way to go, but the most crucial part is over.

When Shirley is able to understand, I will tell her how many people all over the country and world were and are praying for her.

A knitting friend's daughter listed Shirley on a worldwide prayer thread. Some of the ebayers that have bought my way items were asked to pray for her and they did and responded to me. Another ebayer who bought a nonway item also said a prayer.

Plus several of my family attend different churches, so there were prayers going up everywhere.

THANK YOU AGAIN.

I will continue to update her progress. We are still not sure about the damage the procedure did as far as a stroke, major or minor yet.

Thanks to each of you for your prayers. The surgery was put off due to the radiologist wanting to do more tests. Shirley had a blood clot and an aneurysm on her brain. The aneurysm is on a part of the brain that is very rare.

When I left the hospital this evening, the decision had been made for the radiologist to go up thru her groin to her brain and try to take care of the aneurysm. It will take 1 1/2 to 3 hours or so.

My brother and neice are extremely torn up, as is the rest of the family.

Please keep praying. I will update tomorrow when I return home from the hospital.

Please pray for Shirley. She will be having surgery today for a brain aneurysm. She has been married to my brother for over 30 years.

I will try to update this evening when I get home from the hospital.

rhino, I thought one time you said you lived near the IL/IN line. New Harmony is near the IL line but in IN. I guess I am confusing you with someone else.

Red Geranium is a very nice restaurant in New Harmony.

Oh, ex, you are so sweet. Yeah, foreknowledge, right!!! Laziness is more like it. Just packed that stuff up in airtight containers and moved it from AR to TN to KY. I have made over $750.00 on ebay. My sister has made almost $200.0 so far and I have listed several items yesterday and today.

rhino, I see 2 redheads in that picture. Seems like the curly redhead and I spent some time together. Do you ever go to the Red Geranium in New Harmony? I have been once but may go again when my cousin and her mom come up. Don't you live close to there?

Wordwolf, I did sign up for photobucket this morning, after I tried it the first time. It has been in the unloading process for about 15 minutes. Is that normal for a 5 x 7 picture? This is the 2nd time I tried to unload it from photobucket as the first time it seemed to be stuck on uploading.

I just found my picture of us from 1977, 30 years ago last month we were in Emporia, KS.

I too am sorry for your loss. Your Uncle Jack sounds alot like my brother who was killed in an accident 5 years ago. He had 4 kids by 4 wives, and then 2 more wives after that. But we loved him anyway.

anotherDan, before you sell it on ebay, maybe you could let everyone know that you can copy their beta tapes to VHS or DVD and then when you have made some money, sell it.

I for one have the Music Challenge and AOS!!! heehee.. on beta. I have a beta machine but I tried to watch a couple of movies that I had taped on them and it ate the tapes, so I tried to fix it but could not. I really would like to get the Music Challenge on VHS or DVD before I sell it on ebay.

Just a thought.

Families are wonderful but they take work, lots of work!!

I pray that God will guide you to do the right thing for your family.

I have no children but I am a daughter. My brother once told me that our dad told the 4 boys (not the 4 girls) that if they ever got in trouble and put in jail, don't call him because he would not bail them out. They didn't and he didn't!!!!!!!!! Whereas our cousin was constantly in trouble, and his parents constantly bailed him out. He is almost 60 now and his mom (dad deceased) is still bailing him out with money, now, though, not jail, as far as I know!!!

Ok, I have posted on the Friends thread and the 6th Corpse thread looking for EVON PRIDDY. She was from Louisville, KY, and lived in Henderson, KY, the summer before her Corpse year. She was very funny and had light brown hair, pretty.

I sponsored her in the corpse and lived with her that summer of 1975. She, Mary Re1nh@rt, and I shared an apartment.

She married a guy when she lived in ATLANTA sometime between 1987-1989. I attended the wedding in Atlanta.

Does anyone remember this funny gal???

On my way home from the shop, I stopped by to see my 84-year-old dad. I never know what frame of mind he will be in, but nevertheless, I stop by. Sometimes I hold my tongue and just smile and agree with him, though inside I am not smiling. My arguing days with him are over. I told him I was selling my 'way stuff' on ebay and he told me that I should BURN IT!!! I shouldn't lead anyone astray. I told him that the ones buying some things are already led astray and if he wanted to give me $650.00, I wouldn't sell anymore!!! He kinda smiled, but didn't offer me any money!!!

I want the last words that I say to him to be "Dad, I love you", which is what I told him before I left.

He is my dad and no matter what, I love him.

My mom, well, I love her and tell her ALL THE TIME. We have a super relationship.

Thanks for the comforting words. I haven't heard back from her for a while. Her mommie dog was about to have a bunch of puppies over the weekend so I figure that she has busy with that.

I told her about GS and that I had a prayer thread regarding her, so it is in her hands and God's hands.

Thanks again to all who have prayed for her.
