"Vagabond lifestyle".. I dunno. It is reserved for the "deeply spiritual".. the same thought troubles me even after close to twenty years after no involvement in da way.. I still don't feel at home in the community in which I live.. why is it.. because they cannot fulfill what a corrupt organization itself could not provide? just a thought.. so where is "home".. maybe.. we (*I*) can't go home..

sooo.. is just one post we get from the Kenster? not much dialogue, if you ask me.. and we were fairly polite to begin with..

They put these things on sale for $125.00. Figured at that price it would be nuts not to pick one up and see what the students are now starting to use.. I don't know if I am exactly impressed with it yet. an alpha-numerical keyboard.. for what? I suppose one could type up a word document in text form, with a non-standard keyboard.. export it to a computer through a usb port with the included calculator software. The keyboard isn't the standard one like the one I'm using with the computer.. all of the letters of the alphabet are ordered sequentially a to z.. but an instructor can add a wireless adapter to it.. and can review what a student entered on it, keystroke by keystroke.. the display is a lot nicer for graphing than the predecessors.. and for the "effort" of registering, they will send me a plug in keyboard that.. will replace the fancy keyboard.. and it will function as the *ordinary* Texas instruments TI 84 plus graphing calculator.. guess what's going on it when the *new* keyboard arrives.. probably will stay there, for now..

Ten Years since Martindale Ouster......What's Changed?
Ham replied to skyrider's topic in About The Way
no, I won't reply.. nooooo.. well.. the loyster is getting "up there" in years.. shrinking kingdom.. smaller every year.. less latex to fill... sowy.. I refuse to say more.. -
hmm.. work. can be inevitable.. fixing stuff on a Saturday night!???? Better be good pay.. well.. I understand. *we* can make allowances..
-
sooo.. what about this Saturday.. I'll make it easy. Don't show up, and you'll have squirrel spirits invade your nightmares.. how's that for an invitation to Saturday night chat? don';t make it at 5. Make it about seven or so..

Curmudgeons generally stand in front of the steam roller.. what else good are we?
-
Let me ask.. who is invited to the feast? the question is sincere.. though asked in laughter..
-
Scary, yes.. but what do you think.. is your blood any more "special" than anyone elses in the hurricane's way.. vicster would say.. leaves my blood alone.. I'm da chosen.. usually the hurricane says "tough crap, mac.." I'd say every time he challenged possibilities.. he was just damned lucky..
-
well.. it reached me. Maybe that's enough.. I really hope for more.. I dunno.. community consciousness can be wonderful.. as long as it isn't a steamroller.. heading the wrong way towards an individual.. ha.. Geo.. you shouldn't have mentioned "chanting".. look at this whole can of worms.. gawd (who or whatever that is) bless you sir..
-
there is going to be a h*ll of a lot more chanting in days to come.. take it as you wish.. just an observation.. now me.. it mainly started one fine evening in wally mart.. but you really don't want to hear it.. honest to god.. I thought they built the place on some sacred burial ground or something.. that's all I'll say..
-
This is even "more cool".. they did their chanting in a pro-active sense, before dealing with the good mayor daley's s*it.. is there something to this? I dunno.. looking over forty years back.. what good did it do.. some I hope..
-
This is really "cool".. depending on your point of view I guess.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znLItt_WzwE&NR=1&feature=fvwp
-
I don't know if I'd include chanting here. That's just the way some of us try to deal with life's s*it sometimes.. "are you mumbling?".. "no.. I'm chanting.." I try to be as inconspicuous as possible..
-
that's "cool" and all.. how do you figure in well, supposedly higher education? More advanced material, math, chemistry, computer science.. now I will admit, I've seen better understanding from home schooled children. But I've also seen better academic results when first and second year college students attend a local community college, and live at home.. I'm almost afraid to say this.. but a four year university is really almost the wrong place to send a first or second year student.. with the exception that they know why they are there, and have commitment to learn..
-
why would one want to run from oneself.. even if one happened to be a "nice guy".. I could understand, if one were totally obnoxious or something.. maybe that's the question.. well.. it's not *my* fault, or is it.. I'm just a bozo on the bus..
-
Scary thought, isn't it..
-
yeah.. its the "one birth" concept I think.. if the second is valid and all.. just come and get me.. or is it the nth birth concept.. I hope (hope not!) it is the last.. heh the last one, leads to where I was before..
-
wait until you add "spiritualist" to the mix.. and add some "do gooder".. in a lot of ways.. and "won't put up with any more s*it" in a few others..
-
I haven't seen much either.. all the *love* seems to depend on how many/which/how few/how many gods one has at any given moment..
-
sooo.. from what I've read so far. She was/is not inspiring.. motivating, perhaps.. for one to distance oneself from new knoxville as long as one's legs, camel, or wowmobile can perform.. but with the "one way" communications.. the last description seems to stand.. "teacher"? Perhaps that was the wrong question.. a teacher solicits LEGITIMATE feedback, to assess whether the student understands the lesson.. and it's not usually accepted in terms of "yass'm" or "yassir"..

My dad had one of those. If one wasn't careful, one might break a tooth with it.. I only wish so.. I've tried it on myself at least.. don't know how much good its really done.. where do we go from here..
