Actually, I'm not too upset about the B-. It was a pretty tough course. I think about 1/4 of the poor kids there were in their second time through the course.
-
As for me: an A+ in Physics 211, a B- in Organic Chemistry I.
-
In a way, I hope they make that guy one of the next bots. I would have more fun here than I am having already!

"three servings of bread a day starting to make you feel run down? drink water.."
-
Pat: I wonder if you thought about: De Vey cookbook. Every recipe could guarantee that you get three meals a day, and do not mix bread and vegetables. Of course, meat is prohibited- not because of belief though, but because it just plain costs too much. Or Physics 101 for the new wayfer: why drinking water miraculously gives you more energy. Have to replace the meat with something, you know..
-
I think its funny- every once in a while they stick their head up out of the hole, wondering if ex-wayfers are still watching. You just can't purposely be that mean to so many folk and not expect a few consequences. Of course, they can always chalk it up to the debil. A more logical approach would be a SINCERE apology, and perhaps some form of restitution. Any other path, and their little cornfield outfit is doomed.
-
But then there's always this place. They will have to wait for the demise of the internet (ha!) or for us folks to die off or forget how to use the computer. Not likely to happen for quite a while. Rosie and crew will be long gone by then..

Even a prophet can speak presumptiously..
-
I don't know about anybody else, but my "snake-oil" alarm went off pretty loudly when I heard that. Too bad I ignored it as many times as I did.
-
I leave about half a pound of walnuts out for him in the morning. Good thing I don't put out any pot for him..
-
Hey! That looks just like my squirrel! (kind of, anyway).
-
I resolve to not call the BOTs or minions a**es this new year. Should last the most of five minutes..
-
But I am not so sure about the plots.. seems they still think that they have the power of God Almighty over those that are outside the "walls of Zion". Witness the recent lawsuits and legal wrangling. How dare anyone question the obvious fact that THEIRS is THE way!
-
Uncle H., I think you are absolutely correct. But with the current trend, in about five years or so, Rosie will ask Donna, "how are the follwers doing?" "Which ones?" "Whadya mean which ones?? There are only a dozen left!!!"
-
They probably keep her around to discourage lawsuits. I could not imagine what it would be like, as a lawyer, to have to sit in a small room with her as she gives her deposition.
-
Maybe Wal Mart or another big place like that could hire her- put her in customer complaints department. Their store would instantly go to the top in the organization as far as customer complaints are concerned.. "no more complaints here!"
-
She might have a pretty good looking resume. "I can make lots of rules, mark and avoid people and scare them out of their wits just by looking at them" "have had previous experiences dealing with lawyers, lots of them."
-
A few of my thoughts were, 1. They have done away with the ROA. 2. Closed and sold two campuses. 3. Reduced their most loyal following from thousands to perhaps 75-150, who would attend the various "offerings" through the year. 4. Corps training (ha!). How many in residence? They only graduated five last year. 5. How many vey disciples? Not many. 6. No "research" department to speak of.. at least anymore. 7. Publications must be a joke. Who would buy it except for the few 75-150 real loyal wayfers? 8. Oh, the way rag. May take a staff of two to put that beauty together.. The list could go on and on, but I will spare you.. What in the world does ole Rose have to do? For the life of me, I cannot imagine the level of "oversight" required for this broken down, defunct cult commanding a full-time salary, even at minimum wage levels. As an "administrator", she is rapidly running out of trains to keep on time. Looks like life on welfare to me. If the place folded, she would be unemployable, in my opinion.

Good point, Def..
-
Squirrel Keep this up, and your squirrels may end up like this one!
-
One thing more. You would think the Harve and the other BOD would see this too. They have the power to vote her off and give her and Donna the bums rush out of that place. What's stopping them? What she knows may be irrelevant- the law suits are probably gonna do them in anyway.
-
Uncle H., that was my impression. I bet she does not even call the lawyers- probably tells Donna to tell Harve.
-
Radar, you would have to read the "Christmas at Der Veq" thread. It is on the about der vey forum, third page now. Just a few items for Uncle H. and I to give them a Christmas they would not forget!
-
Why do I smell another lawsuite.. kid's gonna need help. Best use of all that ABS I put in once.
-
Oaks.. makes sense. Only problem is, they are running out of trains. I thought she was a funny choice for pres. Kind of like putting the bit in the wrong end of the horse. The only public speaches I remember her making were during her University of Life tenure. That voice could really lull you off to sleep. After an half hour of that, you would be in a state that you would believe almost anything. Linda, thanks for your input. It seems to me that for somebody to be THAT GOOD at deceit and manipulation, they must either be pretty twisted to begin with, or really work hard practicing their "craft." (or both).
