well......all I know for NOW is what JOHN 14:26 says: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My Name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your rememberance........................ so even Jesus didn't say that a "MOG" would teach it...................... Then we have to get back to defining "God, who is he"? and Who or What is Holy Spirit?

To all the people I have loved in the Way, past, present and future: A little ditty for you to "see" a little of my side and to hear it for yourself. After my departure from the "cult" ( yes it is) a fellow believer I was "friends" with, finally called. (it only took a half a year). Never one to obey anyone blindly, (thankfully, she only got IN 2 years ago~ and didn't develop Way colored glasses yet....) she called to see how we were doing, and to HEAR it for herself. Hear what you ask? Why, to see if we were as "screwed up" as our last TC said we are. Here is the scenario: "Hey where are ____ and ____ been? How are they?" "They are not STANDING and do not fellowship anymore with the Way" "What? Why? what happend?" "she (me) took him (hubby) OUT!" Anybody who knows us can tell you that my husband makes up his own mind. Second, we stick TOGETHER, no matter what. Third, he took himself "out"! Boy this made me mad, but I am not surprised. Well, thankfully, this girl remembers all the love and advice we had ever given her, and didn't agree with even HALf of the "rules" or beliefs of the Way... Took it upon herself to see how we were doing. Isn't that sweet? Haven't had ONE phone call from anybody else from my " so called friends" in our last fellowship to see how we were doing. So this was a nice blessing. This is the NEW WAY? The LOVE? Nice and Gentle? Here is another one for you...... this same leader told her that "anyone who leaves the ministry, something bad will happen to them!" Yes, folks, here you go.......................the NEW and Improved Way International! You want to know WHY we left? too much to tell........... So just stay here a while and you'll know. But for thread value here it is................. We stand for God and Truth, No matter WHAT the lawyers tell us........ Can't support EVIL doctrine (yes, i said doctrine) or practice. They kinda go together. NEVER BE AFRAID TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT is our motto! Obviously The BOD BOT BOOB's or whatever they are called now, don't beleive that. Here is something I am starting to believe.... A person with "holy spirit" cannot have another "spirit" indwelling at the same time. Think about THAT for a moment. How many wafers who already SIT were there, but then were told that they were "possessd" ? I mean, for a devil spirit to be inside you at the same time as holy spirit.................a lot of fightin perty hard, IMO. (Move over holy spirit, no, get thee behind me Satan, no YOu get out, no you!!...) I can hear it now..... It would make no sense as long as you believe you do not "lose'' holy spirit. So in light of this then; There have been born again folks that have commited all of these acts. So either,they cannot be "possessed" at the time (just influenced by). or they "lost" holy spirit. I think God is the judge on this one. IMO

Yes, thanks. I always hated when parents would yell at their kids...."renew your mind!" I always disagreed with it only on the level of them being children and they didn't know the "word" to renew their mind to. I would correctly say "change your thinking". Which, Rhino, you are right. We have control of our thoughts and what we think about/hence actions. But this is NOT what God is talking about in "renewing". "Lead all thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ, whatsoever things are pure.............think on these things, put on the mind of Christ"..................this is what "we did" to help us. IMO

Gross Excie~ that would have definatley put me over the edge as a youngin.... For me, it wasn't about shutting "off" my brain, as much as it was "busying" my brain. Remember, the Way never allowed you to "do nothing" with your mind. If you weren't working at a job, or "cleaning your house" or studying the Word, or retemorizing, or running a class, studying the collaterals, or witnessing...................then you should be Speaking in Tongues. When did our brain have a rest? When did it just "be"? Well, when folks get to that place of "stillness", then they can hear that "still small voice". So, when we moved to the sticks, and got quiet, we could finally hear God (screaming ................... "GET OUT GET OUT!") He must of thought we were deaf all those years.

Rise up o man of God, have done with "LESSER THINGS"............... Give heart and soul and mind and stregnth, to serve the One True God. Lift HIGH the Word of God, Tread where his feet have trod, As brothers of the son of God, rise up of men of God.................... We had to sing this constantly before HE came out to teach.... I guess he thought it said "Dressier things".

I went to Bible study the other day at a Baptist Church ( which is very hard for us to do ) but......... it was so great. One line really stood out: "GOD renews your mind, not you!" Holy cow! Really? It took all the pressure off me. Is this off topic? oh wait, I am going off on the "love of God in the renewed mind" thing.............. I always hated that defininition. I still want to explore this further, but it made sense as we discussed it (yes we "discuss" in this class).

It all started when I discovered that the verse 1Peter 1:20 was talking about "holy men of God" that did NOT write " their own" interpretation, that they were "moved by the holy spirit" to write it! What an OXYMORON, to be teaching 'keys to the Words interpretation", and using this verse to say that WE should not "privatley interpret". When all along, the context was NEVER considered. It wasn't about how we approach the Word, it was all about how the Word got written by these men. Alleluah! (they are still teaching this error btw) This got the ball rolling. (I can't remember if it was on GS or another anti-way site that prompted my investigation) Then I read about Doc vic and HIS "problem" with women, and the plagerism. That was it! I was done! Looking at one mans sins (LCM) was enough. But to find out that from the inception, this ministry (doctrine and practice) was built on lies and sin, (Docvic) I could not "stand" any longer.

I know that after the lawsuits , their eldest daughter, who finished college, screamed at Loyboy and said; "I don't even know if Jesus is not God, I don't know what to believe anymore." They didn't talk to him for a long time. Especially their son, didn't want anything to do with him. They've had it rough. As far as the land...................they haven't done anything with it. oh yea, .................... that clapping at hootin and hollerin gave me the same heebeegeebees. I can't believe we did that! The bible class I attend at a Baptist Church, don't clap at all even after a kick butt teaching..... they really TRY to give GOD the glory NOT MAN! It was a breath of fresh air.

You cannot run a fellowship if you have a Mortgage either. Do you know how many Branch Leaders have had to take over the whole area because of this? I am amazed they didn't scream to the BOD, but then again, more control................. And they do have a new class with a bunch of teachers now, all on DVD, if I remember correctly.

Can I come to your fellowship Eagle? Was it social or for "da Word"? Who cares? They could be sleeping in, but instead they came to enjoy the sweetness of God and His people. So sad leagalism set in. People need a shepard, not a butcher. Glad to see you were just lovin God and His people.

You are right Mark, about the "building up the immune system", and believe me, they have! I know some freaky parents, esp in the infant stages that won't even let another person hold their baby! I am not that way at all. But, as a mom, it is primarily my job to be up all night when the kids are sick. Like Rascal said, with a butt load of kids, getting it one by one, that makes for a pretty miserable month, let alone financially. So, if I can avoid places that are "loaded" with germs, I will chose not to purposely expose them. I just really need my sleep this week. (where you at Rascal?) I am coming over!

As I journey back in time thinking about my days in "lalala looney land", I recall some idiotic, even laughable things I "reproved" someone for. Here is one: I had a roomate back in early 90's, and every morning she would get up and make a cup of coffee. One day, I blatenly said to her, " so why do you drink coffee every morning? Are you addicted?" She was so caught off gaurd, and said, "No , I just like it?" I said, "if you HAVE to have it, then it is wrong and you should consider what your motives are". I think she didn't continue making her coffee that day. WTF? I mean, this was at the height of LCM's sceaming rage and arrogant behavior, but just because I didn't drink it, doesn't give me the right to say that crap. Fast forward 15 years, I LOVE COFFEE, and I have it every morning! Silly me.

oh how this rings loudly in my ears! My kids are NOT allowed to play in the "play yards" of any such restaurant, even though we only go if we are on a trip and that is our only option. Those places NEVER get cleaned. Hence, the MALL. On cold days I would occasionally take my then "young" children( 2-4 year olds) to the play area of the malls. While fun, they are infested with snot, puke, spit, boogers, and occasionally, POOP. EVERY TIME my kids played there, they were sick 3 days later. How about all the kid water parks, themed parks? How often I see poop sliding down the waterslide, to then have the whole section sectioned off for hours. I had enough! So, sorry if my girlfriends think I am such a "strict" parent for not letting my kids eat or go to McDonalds or the new "super duper deluxe" Children's play museum down the road.........I don't care. It cost me $100 bucks every time my kid needs antibiotics. I'll let them do pony rides on my back thankyou. (hey Rascal, can we come up and ride the horses?) hehe I teach my kids to cough in their shoulder sleeve and not their hands, but, they don't always remember, little buggers. and another thing........................ I have a neighbor friend that is sssssoooooo ignorant about her children being sick, and when to let them "play or not play". She asks me, " JJ had a fever a couple hours ago, but I gave him Tylonol and he's better now, can he come over and play?" ahhhh what? Are you serious? I mean, he feels better because of drugs girl, not because he is NOT CONTAGIOUS! Major pet peeve. It is like they have no clue what germs do, and how they are transmitted. Yes we definatley need some "germ warfare" class. BTW her house is always gross. Not just disorganized or "kid friendly", it's dirty. So, "cleanliness classes" are needed too.
