He was a man of moral, ethic, honor and integrity... He was my friend. He is still the love of my life. Groucho, you know how highly he spoke of you... and how much he trusted you and entrusted to you.... He found a way to totally envelope me in love- his and that of his family and friends. He gave me much more than I gave him and I will never be able to repay my debt to him... So I will love him with all that I am.

Thank you, Groucho my dear friend. I was fine until I read this... well almost fine. I'm okay until someone asks me how I'm doing. so... "Does god look down on the boys in the barroom?"

Geisha... thank you so much. That book - "A Severe Mercy" has been on my mind a lot lately. The funny thing is that I recommended it and he sent it without any question. That's how we were together.

I won't be here long. I know that there are a lot of folks here that knew RumRunner in a far different way than he presented himself on the threads. He and I SAW each other... when others only saw various attributes of our beings, we saw each other through and through. Groucho knew him since he was 4 years old. I would like to see Groucho be able to post his feelings since I am completely inadequate to do so. I look around me and everything makes me cry....

RumRunner passed away Monday morning approx 7:30 AM. I won't post his real name... he wouldn't want that. Those of you who knew him... knew him. For all his gruffness here on this site, he was more tender and thoughtful than anyone could ever imagine. I can't write much more now. I've been grieving and will continue to do so. He is finally looking at the earth from the stars he loved to gaze at. PS... Paw please send Groucho a new password for GSC. He wanted to post this memorial himself, but computer failure and system issues have caused great confusion.
  8. Well... You could post what you want to say, but choose the same color as your background as your text color. Let me see if it works: Here I have selected "White" as my text color. The only way you should be able to see this is if you try to highlight my post as if you were going to copy it. I guess someone should let me know if they are able to read what I wrote up there^^^ (Hint- the first word is "Here") Ahhh! I see now that Tzaia already figured that one out. ;)
  9. Actually, I think I met James Scott Trimm and his wife about 17 years ago. Both she and I were in the same La Maze-type class. James was very interested in TWI's work in Aramaic and the Pedangta text. He gave me his version of the Gospel of Matthew in Aramaic. I never read the version. By that time I was getting more and more disinterested with Biblical studies and the BS that comes with one person saying that his translation is more accurate and/or gets clothes whiter with less wrinkles.
  10. Well, I just gave an extra vote to that last post of Shellon's. You have a number should you ever want to talk, Shellon.
  11. Shellon, I can only imagine the things you're dealing with right now. I don't even know how to express my support of you and your family during these trying times. People aren't always their best during difficult times. It seems that the crap that life deals out has a way of making us see not only our strengths but also our weaknesses. The point is never that we are perfect - only that we seek the most perfect solution - or to at least recognize the best solution when it comes along. You know... I hate to point out something trivial, but for some strange reason, someone reading this thread feels it necessary to "mark you down" each time you post. I find myself marking you "up" to counteract that silly little red "1" in the lower right hand of your posts. (I didn't do it yet just to make my point.) I have never seen you as a whiner or one who seeks attention. You don't use your family issues to garner some kind of notoriety for yourself. I have always viewed your posts about your girls as a way to let a bunch of people know what is happening. You have not spoken badly about folks publicly. So I don't quite get what the the issue can be that someone has with you on this point. I know you can't comment - and won't comment - but it seems to me a cowardly thing to simply put that mark of disapproval. There's no accountability to that mark - all it says is that someone doesn't like what you've said. I know that in addressing this to you I'm writing to the wrong person, but I guess that somehow I wanted you to realize that if I noticed it then surely there are many more folks who noticed it. I find nothing offensive in the posts on this thread. Even if I didn't agree with some of the decisions you've made - you've always been an introspective and honest poster. I'm glad for your insight and strength. Perhaps we should all learn to walk in someone else's shoes before we come reigning down with judgement. And I say that with a lot of perspective on being wrongly judged as well as judging wrongly. Keep on being there for your girls and let them be there for you.
  12. Hi Ken. Thanks for showing up and speaking up. It's a lot more refreshing than those that lurk and then just complain without even attempting to set the record straight. I remember a class you taught in NYC on logic. That and some very good advice (that unfortunately I didn't heed) continue to give me fond memories of both you and Sue being quality people.
  13. That would make all of vp's works equivalent to moldy, rotten "parts."
  14. Maybe JAL paints a target on his back that says, "Make fun of me so I can claim martyrhood." For someone that says he doesn't like forums or the internet - JAL sure isn't opposed to using it to his ends. Vince, Rood, and the other vp-a-likes learned from the mistakes of their "master" in that they aren't going public in the big way that vp sought to conquer the world. The smaller groups may slip by they BS-smell-a-meter easier than the larger and more obnoxious groups. Either that or perhaps these smaller groups keep their stuff off the internet better than twi does.
  15. sirguessalot - I don't think what I've written is at odds with what you've stated. I just happen to think that religion(in all it's non-glory) brings out the worst in humans.
  16. There does seem to be way too many contradictions in most religions: 1. You're not worthy 2. BUT you can be made worthy... 3. You deserve the worst 4. BUT you can have more than you deserve if you follow these rules... 5. Life will suck 6. BUT there is a new and improved replacement life (and if you act now you get these great offers... our agents are standing by waiting for your call) The trouble isn't with whether or not there is an intelligence bigger than we are... the problem is how people use fear tactics to manipulate others. Lately my biggest frustration is with those of a religious ilk who think that their "special connection to the Awlmighty" gives them the right to stick their nose in peoples' business.
  17. Does anyone ever wonder why der Victoid needed "all 9 all the time" just to sit on his motorcoach and drink Drambuie? SIT - drambuie, drambuie, ball, balloon, ball-O, jello drambuie shots Interpretation - My little children the Lord Gawdawlmighty wants you to make Drambuie jello shots and give them all to me so that he can bless me and keep me all the days of your life. Prophecy - Thou shalt give me Drambuie in a porcelain cup. WOK - I know there's Drambuie under your sink. WOW - The Lawd wants you to give me that Drambuie Disc of Spirits - If you touch my Drambuie you'll be possessed and born of the wrong seed. Faith - I BELIEVE in Drambuie Miracles - Five bottles of Drambuie! Healing - Ahhhh.... that's the stuff
  18. Precisely RumRunner. After all, how many folks when questioned about twi's teachings rejected them until they heard that vp called himself "The Teacher?" Mark (pun intended) talking to WOW: WOW- "So do you want to take this class?" Mark - "I just don't think it's for me, but Thanks anyway." WOW - "But don't you know... he's a doctor and he calls himself 'The Teacher?'" Mark - "Well now.. that changes everything! Where's that green card?" ...I don't think so.
  19. I just can't get into the obsession about der Victoid's docterate (or not) dissertation. I mean... who cares? Quite frankly, I was a dumb kid when I took the Power for Almost Living class. His title didn't lend any credibility to what was being taught, and it certainly didn't persuade my father that vp was legit. Perhaps the title of "doctor" helped him in come circles - but it didn't concern me in the least.
  20. Uhhhh...don't look now, but Texas has been a state since 1845.
  21. I think more Texans would vote for Kinky Freidman for Governor before they supported Texas seceding.
  22. Oh but he does like forums for some things if they serve his purposes... else he wouldn't find a way for his long drawn out letters to find their way here. He uses people and things to his advantage, then he whines and cries that forums are nameless and faceless when his feet are held to the fire. If he were honest he would continue in his regular job until such a time arose that it was necessary for him to travel. But noooooooo... he wants the big shot position right from the beginning. Now I wonder if maybe the spider crawling out of Eliz's nose looked like JAL.
  23. Sometimes I wonder if the real reason JAL "allows" his letters to get posted here at GSC is so that he can use the forum to his advantage. 1.) Be it good, or bad publicity - at least it's publicity and it's better than not being seen at all. 2.) Our observations and derision help him assemble a list of "You may hear some say....." objections that John can use to obviate when speaking.
