Satori, we learned in twi that believing doesn't cover reckless acts. Your spin is off the mark. And I don't need to prove my worthiness...God has made me holy and without blame before Him in love. Now those of us who want HCW to continue his story, uninterrupted, why don't you reprove Satori like you reprove me? I shant call you hypocrites, that'd be wrong.
-
Rascal please come down off of your high horse. My opinions aren't the only ones being expressed here. For the folks who would like me to be quiet, sorry, I'm just as entitled as you to express my opinion. Shall we all be quiet, and let the man tell his story?
-
Outandabout, I distinctly remember being taught the opposite. We learned that believing doesn't cover reckless acts. Remember that? Remember Athletes of the Spirit when Craig went over that? That's in the category of "tempting fate" or "tempting God". God doesn't cover your recklessness. Like going 90 mph in a 60mph speed zone and "believing" not to get a ticket. Doesn't work. THAT'S what we learned in twi. And apparently it's true, cause when we do reckless things, bad things happen.

Excathedra, some of your statements require a response. Ex, why do you reprove only me and not Satori and the others? And maybe there wouldn't even have been a response from me had you and Satori not responded with your finger-pointing blame game. But you seem to be just as good as some others with it. You call them "stupid ******* bastards".A man doesn't have his hands on the wheel and his eyes on the road when driving the truck; the truck is being manipulated by a "gusting crosswind"; it struck a "huge crack in the road"; yet all you see and all you blame is twi and the trustees and call them "stupid ******* bastards"? Why can't you just let him tell his story? How about also cancelling the production of trucks after Ken died? how about cancelling roads after Ken died?Ken had nothing to do with the accident. It was all either LEAD, twi, the trustees, the truck, the road. And while you're at it, why not blame God for creating the earth because Ken died on it? Put your fingerpointing blame on everything else, except individual responsibility. It's as fraudulent as a 3-dollar bill.

And one of their key policies to drive the driver was to force the L.E.A.D. evaluator to conduct the evaluation right in the middle of him driving the truck.Satori... dead-on post!!!

HCW, a friendly reminder, Please keep posting... :)-->

Just blame the trustees.
-
EXACTLY. Ya see, the dumba$$ cheap Trustees should have gotten those dumba$$ Corps Coordinators and Lead Coordinators all together in one room, and hired enlarged staff and with that enlarged staff, told those dumba$$e$: hey fellas, when ya drivin' a truck, make damn sure ya have your two hands on the steering wheel, and your two eyes on the road! But those damned Trustees didn't do that. In fact, they shoulda realized something like this could happen, and conducted driving lessons too!
-
Oops I didn't mean to suggest that Simon was thinking that...sorry Simon...
-
So then because it was a requirement in the Corps...blame twi trustees, right? By that logic, I could blame twi trustees for my motorcycle accident, since it was a requirement for me to drive to the ROA.Damn those trustees, they should have thought of a better way for me to get there. Better yet, they shouldn't have conducted ROA AT ALL... life was safer without it...

I commend all those who attended and endured L.E.A.D. :)-->

HCW, I can relate to this feeling very well when I went down on my bike on Highway 29, the first day of Rock of Ages 1985 no less. ha! My head and body crashing on the pavement, then I roll all slow motion like into the ravine, bike goes forward end over end. They rushed me to the Sidney hospital and I had some scrapes and bruises, but my sister got me to the evening's opening services, clothes all torn. ha! Thank God I had my helmet on! I relaxed all week at the Sidney Days Inn, recuperating. For those who are blaming twi for HCW's traffic accident, I guess I'm missing something, but I fail to see how anyone is to blame other than the drivers of the vehicle. Most accidents are 95% driver error anyway, especially bikes.

If I wasn't so lazy and had more free time, I'd sell items on eBay. Some folks have even made careers out of selling items on eBay. It may take some research, but one way to start is to pick an item that is desirable and you know alot about, buy that item cheap, then sell it for a profit on ebay. You can't go wrong if you buy it cheap enough in bulk.

I bet we can trace even this back to the days of Nimrod and Semirimis.I mean what's the difference between this, and worship of the Goddess Abundantia? We even see Goddess Worship in PFAL... a.k.a. Power For Abundantia Loving...I mean Living...

I bought a case of Penta Water this weekend and one thing is certain: this stuff is GOOD WATER. Tastes great! :)--> I got it a little cheaper too: around $2.37 a liter, with tax, which is around $9.50 a gallon total. Couldn't find Littlehawk's Pair Juice :(-->

Belle, yes I enjoyed it..I like both books, but must also recommend the second book to folks who think the first book is gospel. He did a good job of challenging false assumptions.

Yes you may :)-->

Belle, I will try to summarize a serious answer for you.I think Woodrow's second book "The Babylon Connection?" refutes many surmisings of Hislop, chiefly Hislops belief that the doctrines of the R.C. church "in all essential respects, have been derived from Babylon". Here's the last paragraph of the introduction, which pretty much summarizes the book: Some of the things he said in Babylon Mystery Religion that he challenges in the second book are the following: assumptions about Nimrod and Semiramis in their connection to the R.C. church mixing biblical stories with mythology mixing the Babylonian religion with Roman Catholicism obelisks vs. godly monuments that Mary Worship is really Semiramis Worship pagan titles applied to Mary that celebacy of priests has Babylon origin assumptions about Tammuz and his relation to R.C. church that the cross is about honoring Tammuz not Jesus the round communion wafer has pagan origins round R.C. symbols have pagan origins lighting of candles has pagan origins use of oil has pagan origins use of I.H.S. came from paganism use of fish symbol came from paganism papal mitre honors fish-god Dagon black garments have pagan origin papal procession comes from paganism papal scepter comes from paganism use of relics really honor Nimrod use of Christmas tree as pagan worship use of Easter eggs as pagan worship He makes the sound conclusion that just because a custom or symbol used today might be similar to that which was used in paganism, doesn't mean it's identical or representative of paganism. He rightly concludes simply: Now having said all that, there are plenty of R.C. practices and customs and relevant points in Babylon Mystery Religion that he DOES NOT address, or condemn, in the second book and doesn't offer any biblical evidence to the contrary. I have to assume then that he agrees with his first book, on these points, some of which are the following: Mary worship praying to saints use of indulgences paying for prayers was Peter the first Pope? papal immorality are Popes infallible? the Inhuman Inquisition Lord's Over God's Heritage An Unmarried Priesthood The Mass Three Days and Three Nights
