  1. revvelI can see this in the Lords ministry. Nicodemus and being born from above, the coming of the Comforter, the Forgiving Loving Father aka Prodigal Son {Jew and Gentile}, etc. The Prophets spoke what God wanted, but they lacked the understanding, because it wasn't revealed to them. If Jesus knew more, He didn't say, and it's not written. I believe Peter said it well. CM I'm not sure I understand what you mean. If one looks up, I believe one is looking at heaven. To pin point the exact place where the Lord is, and where the Angles hang out, I don't know. Also, I don't believe in universal salvation. Romans 10:9 and 10 is to clear.
  2. CK If you want to believe in VP's definition's, then have at it. Christianity could fill dump trucks with all the definition's men have come up since it's inception. Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!) To sum up then, with my understanding, I--my true self--am in servitude to the Law of God, but with my lower nature I am in servitude to the Law of sin. Romans 7:25 Weymouth The only true self we are told to recognize is the new man created in Christ.
  3. VP taught that the renewed mind was something you had to do with your mind, a fleshly discipline { mind over matter type of believing immutable law thingamajig}. Where one would Line their mind up with the Word, but we know the 1st century Church didn't have Bibles to renew their minds too. So, to me, it had to more. What I'm saying, which somebody already did say, it is God that does the renewing. It's all part of the walk by the spirit. One cannot renew something that's already dead, which is ones fleshly dead as a doornail brain. It wars against the spirit. No, I believe love is manifested by the walk in Christ, which is thee excellent way. Wouldn't you say that disciplines are a dime a dozen?
  4. revvel So, your saying that the Rapture isn't before the Wrath to come, and isn't a specific happening, and this will happen when, but then again it doesn't have at a specific time? CM And you believe that all that ever lived will be changed and live happily ever after? From what I understand of the word "heaven", it means above.
  5. revvel The signs are all over the place, and getting more numerous! All you have to be is a believer looking twards the Blessed Hope.
  6. So this is the 20th anniversary of the Death of The Original Way International! Blessed I wasn't 70 years old at that time. It's been a great 20 years without denominational religion. Personally, that's all I ever wanted, just got a little side tracked. I have my brother to thank for sending me a copy way back when. Most of the commoners were left in the dark.
  7. God is love. When we became His children by faith, we no longer have to reley on our own understanding in order to love. Doesn't it say to be renewed in the spirit of your mind? Since the flesh is dead, what profit would it be to continue in the flesh? God constrains us to walk by the spirit. So, to live by Gods love would be to walk by the spirit and not the fleshly mind.
  8. The Roman thing is to confess to a priest, which would only help the confessor sort of, but to confess to the one or ones wronged would be much more beneficial and bring closure.
  9. The point doesn't end, it's eternal. Some mock and some scoff, but the end will justify the means.
  10. Allen You aren't missing anything. My Lord, if we we're to cover all the bases men say we miss by this and that we wouldn't have time to enjoy the fellowship made availible by Christ in God now. I wouldn't question your salvation, brother.
  11. Thanks JerryB, something truely to meditate on. Ah, and that darn transition over time of said truths that aluded me. Yes, and to say water baptism's didn't take place is eronious. Let the Peace of God Umpire, CWF
  12. penquin Helped baptize how? To bring them to a decision? Hummm.....Paul also says that he did not baptize in his name, but the Lord Jesus Christ's, which I know we understand. Paul's ministry was to preach the Gospel, not in teaching, unless this is synonymous, and if he was speaking to a croud, how could there not be someone there who believed his words and not get saved? I'm missing something here. Yes, but read on about Peter and his encounter with Cornelius. Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Acts 11:16 The BUT is huge here. This pretty much means no water, so I don't see the rationalization to believe the whoever. TWI in this discussion is pretty moot. Don't need their validation one way or another, just trying to understand what Paul ment by baptizing, that's all.
  13. This came up last Sunday as I shared from I Corinthians. 1Co 1:14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; Now if Paul meant just speaking the Gospel and they all got born again, then I believe he would have said that, but he says he baptized these two guys. So did baptism mean something else to Paul? I'm not saying he went about and dunked or sprinkled, but he says he baptized these two individuals. 1Co 1:15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. Obviously he baptized them in the name of Christ Jesus, but just what did this baptism entail? 1Co 1:16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. He also remembers baptizing everybody at Steve's house. But as to baptizing of anybody else, he doesn't remember. Now this is Paul speaking, the messenger of the Gospel of Grace. 1Co 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. Now if he wasn't the baptizer, who was, and what did he mean by this? When you think you've got it all down, wham, here we go again. LOL Hey, and it's been long time no be here. What do you guys see here?
  14. The spirit supersedes the natural. The spiritual explains the natural. With most minds, it's the other way around which is why the world is so mixed up.

    Gardening

I grow all my perennials from seed. Try this method and see if it works for ya. Take a pot and fill it with potting soil. Next take your seed and sprinkle it on top of the soil. Then take some sand and sprinkle over the seed remembering the seeds correct planting depth. Watering is easy because the sand on top will show you when watering is necessary. I usually get 50% to 75% of my seed to germinate. When the baby's are big enough to transplant, transplant them to their own pots. You still may loose 50%, but out of say 40 you'll have 20 health plants. Last year I started White Swan Cone Flower, Bee Balm, Hollyhocks, Sweet William, Lavender, Anise Hysop, Lemon Balm, and many more. Watch out for Lemon Balm or it will take over your garden. This year I have Mallow, Baby's Breath, Double Bloom Poppy's, and my secound try with Larks Spur. Prayer is #1 in gardening..........
  17. Garth I haven't heard of anyone going to jail. Past judgements have all been settled with cold hard cash, and since it's not theirs to begin with, what do they care. A lot like our wonderful Government. If a crime has been done then the perp aught to do jail plus pay damages.
  18. But the the thread should go back to discussing the benefits of drinking oxygenated water. If it is a help to health then fine. The adds I see on the tube promoting meds have more adverse side affects than benefits, yet people spend billions on junk like the removal of fungus in the toenails. Take this pill to rid yourself of toenail fungus, but buyer beware, it can also blow out your liver, and kidneys, but you'll have beautiful looking toenails when they lay you out. I don't see the harmful effects like this when it comes to drinking water with more oxygen in it. And if it's nothing more than like taking sugar pills, Oh well. At least people are drinking more water. That's as critical as I can get on the subject.
  19. Yes, Sharon, water, but with a little kick added to it.
  20. There isn't a problem, but something as simple as water won't hurt to try it and find out for yourself. It's not like taking a med, or something. It's fricken water. Several posters have no life outside of greasespot, and would argue the necessity of using barbless hooks when fishing because it hurts the fish's fealings. I agree, before they knew of gravity, going up a mountain was harder than going down. It was just the way it was. I don't think a little oxygen in water is worth all the hub bub portrayed by the skeptics. Then we better run for the hills, oxygenated water is from the anti-Christ. Come on, it's just fricken water with more oxygen in it. Most of the people here who have tried it say it's benificial. That's a pretty good test if ya don't say.
  21. For the life of me, I don't understand how this topic of oxygen saturated water turned into a debate by those who have never tried it. It would be different if someone have been drinking it, and found it to be useless. Dave's not selling water, just dicussing it. Sheesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. We need to do this more often. Good story, Dave. Hey, when I get a chance, I'll stop by. Give me a call on the cell phone. Grandpa CW
  23. Found myself tossing a turning, so I got out of bed, took a couple three "Ibyprophins", turned on the PC and ended up here. CM, I hear ya. It's the war between the eyeballs. The senses and all the assorted fleshly things are a SOB to cope with being a believer. I've heard all the bla bla of do this and that to make my ears spin. I find great comfort when I remember to live in and for the moment. It's seems all the controversy runs out the front door forgetting it's shoes. About 2 months ago, I was about to throw in the towel with my company of 25 years. Things were so slow that slugs seemed to be running. Bills were piling up, and no matter what I did nobody needed any construction. A record snowfall for winter didn't seem to help. Even the encouragement from God seemed distant. So I broke down in my wife's presence. She let me blow it out. All the crap of and in my mind. It felt pretty good dumping my thoughts on the floor. After I was done taking the mind crap we prayed. I swear as soon as I said Amen, the phone rang and a good repeat customer needed some work done. He said, "whats your plans for the next 3 weeks?" I said, I guess working on your house..... And that was that. It wasn't me, or my wife, or kids, or grand daughter. It was something trying to rip off my JOY. Don't let nothing rip off your JOY! Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of {the} holy spirit. Romans 15:13 The bones are feeling a little better. Think I'll head back to the land of Nod.
