  1. Cher was married to Greg Allman, not Duane. They were married long after Duane was killed. Rick And I BELIEVE that picture is JOHNNY Winter, not EDGAR. Rick
  2. If you want to embed a video in a browser, you can do that. First, as Garth said, you have to upload your video to a web server. Then you need to embed the video. The easiest way to embed a video is the HTML EMBED tag. A very basic embed tag would look like this: <EMBED SRC="http://www.myserver.myfile.xxx" WIDTH=xxx HEIGHT=xxx> OK, let's break that down. I have a real cool video that I want to share with people at GS. The video is called jb3.mpg. It lives on my server which is called bluzecentral.net. So the code for that would be: <EMBED SRC="http://www.bluzecentral.net/~rick/jb3.mpg"> There are many paramaters that you can add. Note that some are browser specific however, so avoid those if you want everything to work right with IE OR Netscape/Firefox. Now there are other ways that you can do it. You can convert the file to a .flv file and stream it. This method looks VERY similar to the YouTube stuff but requires a little more work. I don't have time to go into all that right now, but if you're interested, I'll give you some examples. Rick

    I finally did it

Welcome Man! Mostly we have food fights, so jump righ in. Rick
  5. I downloaded and installed the Sourceforge WAMP distro. By default, apache installs to c:\program files\apache group\e\Apache2. The "wwwroot" is actually an htdocs folder. But when you install php, it want's to look for the httpd.conf in a folder off of the root directory, instead of program files. It actually ends up being in c:\program files\apache group\apache2\conf. I'm wondering if she just accepted the "suggested" location instead of browsing to the right one? There is a folder that the install script creates called phpadmin which is under the ..~htdocs folder. That is where the test.php is placed.(C:\program files\apache group\apache2\htdocs\phpadmin). So if all goes well, you should be able to type http://localhost/phpadmin/test.php and see a page that looks like THIS Rick
  6. That was too funny Satori! Thanks for the morning laugh! Rick
  7. OK, first question. After you downloaded the file, did you run it? And after you ran it, did you run setup for php, mysql, apache, and phpmyadmin? If so, when you open IE and type in http://localhost, what happens? Rick
  8. OK, glad to see your "you" again. :) I thought it was hot linked because the replacement was a google url. Dang moderators, what, ya got too much time on your hands? Rick
  9. Probably because you hot-linked to the pic. People don't like that because when you hot link, you are basically stealing bandwidth from that server owner. Save the pic you want to use and store it on a server where you have an account. Then link to it. If you need some server space, PM me and I'll give you some. Rick

    The New AT&T

I worked for AT&T shortly after the divestiture. "What is our name going to be this week" became the running joke, although it DID seem as though it changed weekly for awhile. Rick
  12. Just brought this back up to say that as of today, I have been smoke-free for 1 year!. :) Rick

The credit card is pretty standard for a cross-ship. That is where they send you a new drive, and a pre-paid shipping label to ship the old drive back. They will not charge your card if the old drive is returned within a certain number of days. Rick
  14. Not sure about the apron myself, burt I think probably. HERE is another good one. Rick
  15. I just read that it's been 25 years this month since John Belushi passed away. This is a big download but worth the wait. One of his funniest skits. Click HERE. Rick

Waysider, it was either Bluesville or Deep Tracks. Those are my 2 favorites, although there are a couple jazz stations that are great also. Deep Tracks is kinda cool cause they play a lot of off-the-wall kinda stuff...cuts from albums that you don't normally hear on the radio. I DID hit Mem to save the track info so I'll look later and see if it also saves the station info. Now I understand why I've always liked playing the blues. No one realizes all the mistakes I make, cause it's ALL a mistake. Rick
  20. Yes Rocky did apologize. And I for one, would like to thank him for that. For the record Rocky, I never assumed for even a minute that you were intentionally trying to hurt or "out" anyone. I give you a lot more credit than that. Even if you are a liberal. Rick
  21. Nothing to report. Rocky didn't break any rules, which is what the report button is for. (It get's WAY overused in my opinion.) Rick
  22. No, if I said "I think Rocky is a pompous foot who is so full of himself that it boggles the mind that he can fit his head through the door", now THAT would be a subjective judgement. Fact remains that we can not edit our posts after a set number of hours. Dot made a post saying she wasn't comfortable posting certain information. Knowing that, it wasn't real considerate to bring attention to the fact that information she wasn't comfortable posting was already posted elsewhere. That is my point. Want to make a big deal out of it? Fine, won't bother me a bit. You are as insignificant to me and my life as a person could possibly be so no skin off my foot. Or you COULD just say, hey, maybe that wasn't the right thing to do and be done with it. Rick

Pretty sweet, eh? I use my XM Radio as my alarm clock and that is what woke me up this morning. :) Rick

    Guitar Talk

This wasn't quite as good as the version I heard on XM Radio this morning, but still good! Roy Buchanan doing Down By The River. Rick
  25. Uh, Rocky. She said she wasn't comfortable posting that information. If you noticed that she slipped and posted it previously, the classy thing to do would have been to NOT bring it up. And no, I'm not trying to insult you, just an observation. Rick
