  1. Sounds like it's got Iron Man, Ant Man, Groot, Wakanda characters. Avengers Endgame? George
  2. Originally, I thought of Lenny and Squiggy; but they didn't have their own show. George
  3. King of the Road "You know I can be found sitting home all alone. If you can't come around, at least please telephone." George
  4. Was it a well-known song in its own right? (Like "Rain" being the B-side of "Paperback Writer.") George
  5. Sounds as though this show was a spinoff which either also had its own spinoff or ended quickly enough that the characters could appear again in the original. The characters' names are in the title. Laverne and Shirley? George
  6. One would think that having Michael Douglas and Robert Redford (not to mention the other stars) would make it obvious, but I'm drawing a blank. George
  7. Was it the second half of "Hey Jude" ? That song was twice as long as most singles of the time. George
  8. I finally got to listen to it. Not familiar, but a nice tune. George
  9. I know the song; I can't think of the title. George
  10. Messenger was sent to Mercury and Juno was sent to Jupiter. I would have accepted "comet" for Stardust. Specifically, it analyzed dust near the comet Wild-2. Curiosity was one of the Mars missions. NASA's GRAIL mission flew twin spacecraft—Ebb and Flow—in tandem around the Moon to map variations in the lunar gravitational field. The probes generated the highest resolution gravity map of any celestial body to date. At the end of the mission, the probes were purposely crashed on the Moon. As Ebb passed over an area of greater gravity, its speed slowed relative to Flow and increased in lesser gravity. Higher gravity meant denser rock, presumably caused by an asteroid impact. Lower density was presumed to be due to volcanic activity. I'll give it to Raf, with an assist from Human. George
  11. So, Superman and Lois is back. Remember when I said that this show was a good blend of soap opera and superhero stuff? Not this episode. 95% soap opera, 5% superhero. Also Jordan Elsass, who played Jon Kent in the first two seasons, left the show and has been replaced by Michael Bishop. Gotham Knights also premiered tonight. This is a completely different Bat-universe. Bruce Wayne is murdered and found out to be Batman. Three kid thieves (Duela, Harper Row and Cullen Row) are framed for it, along with BW's adopted son. (Dick Grayson? No. Jason Todd? Guess again. Tim Drake? Wrong, buffalo breath! It's Turner Hayes. Who????) Apparently, Hayes never knew about his father's extra-curricular activities. The kids escape the police with the help of Robin (Carrie Kelley, using the name of the red-headed girl in the Dark Knight series, though this young lady is black) and Stephanie Brown. Misha Collins (Castiel from Supernatural) is an unscarred DA Harvey Dent. So, a lot of names from the DCU but virtually none of the character histories. I'll give it some time (it's not as if there are a lot of comic book shows left); but the first episode certainly did not wow me. George
  12. That's one down. If you know Roman mythology, Messenger and Juno should be pretty easy. George
  13. Nick Kroll was on "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" this past weekend. I had no idea who he was, but he's apparently in HOTW II. Googling him, I'm pretty sure I've never seen anything else he's been in, though I do recognize a couple of the titles. He seemed engaging, though. Was he any good? George
  14. Sounds like a woman from Superman's past (Lois Lane, Lana Lang, Lori Lemaris, Luma Lunai...) George
  15. You're half right about Mariner 10. It did fly by two planets, but Mars was not one of them. George
  16. The rhyme scheme reminds me of Bob Dylan, but obviously this isn't his. George
  17. Fine. You're right. Which one(s) gave it away? George
  18. Go Ask Alice "What goes up, must come down." George
  19. Yes, indeed! Sort of a precursor to Amazon Women on the Moon. George
  20. Interesting. Completely different powers, but same creators. To which heavenly bodies were these NASA missions directed? Get three right to win the round. GRAIL (also called Ebb and Flow) Stardust Messenger Juno Curiosity Mariner 10 George
