  1. Over the course of the show (8 years), "DA Alex Cahill" is abducted and held hostage 22 times, shot 3 times, and drugged once. After the eighth season, CBS wanted to extend the show's contract for two more years. However, with the star's wife being pregnant at the time, the show was removed from the line-up. The star and the character he plays share at least three things: They are both from the same state, they are both part Cherokee, and they had the same profession (when the actor wasn't acting). 2. The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (?) George
  3. Mama Told Me not to Come "Deep down in Louisiana close to New Orleans..." George
  4. Thomas, it is. Ken Howard played him in "1776." Nolte played him in "Jefferson in Paris." Diggs played him in "Hamilton." Dillane played him in the "John Adams" miniseries. Georg
  5. No, The Hollywood Knights Scarface Amazon Women on the Moon The Fabulous Baker Boys Ant-Man and the Wasp Hairspray Malificent Batman Returns The Russia House George
  6. No. Here's a hint: I got the idea from your penultimate Movie Mash-up. (And Conreid portrayed the role as a voice actor. The others were live.) George
  7. No. It's "Along Came Jones." (Interestingly, I always heard "Sawtooth Sam," not "Salty Sam.") FREE POST George
  8. I'll wait a day to see if Raf or WW chimes in. George
  9. I'm not sure if LoT can actually jump the shark, at this point; but this is getting REALLY silly. They may need to bring in Bebo to add some semblance of propriety. It did have some fun moments, though. I really liked a bit at the end with Steel essentially imitating Captain America in Spider-Man: Homecoming. George
  10. Great Balls of Fire Dennis Quaid DOA George
  11. Name the role: Nick Nolte Daveed Diggs Ken Howard Jeffrey Jones Charlton Heston Stephen Dillane Hans Conreid Kevin Kline John Dehner George
  12. The Hollywood Knights Scarface Amazon Women on the Moon The Fabulous Baker Boys Ant-Man and the Wasp Hairspray George
  13. I'd guess "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," but that wasn't black-and-white. George
  14. Hair 2 lines. The first MIGHT not be enough: "I plopped down in my easy chair and turned on Channel 2. A bad gunslinger called Salty Sam was chasin' poor Sweet Sue" George
  15. LoT and Batwoman return tonight. George
  16. Superman and Lois returns tonight. Naomi premieres tonight (with VERY little fanfare -- I would have missed it if it didn't come right after S&L). I don't know how much of the DC character's powers she'll display. George
  17. Tutti Frutti "There's a port on a western bay, and it serves a hundred ships a day." George
  18. Johnny Depp Edward Scissorhands Winona Ryder George
  19. When Gene Pitney was getting ready to record the song by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, he learned that the movie was already in theaters Interesting communication failure. George
  20. That line was ad-libbed. Howard was having IRS troubles at the time. George
  21. It is. Director Ron Howard, actor Clint Howard. The stars were proud about not losing their lunches during the weightless scenes (and they spent a LOT of time in the "Vomit Comet"). La Casita is a Tex-Mex restaurant in Friendswood (not far from Clear Lake, where NASA is). A photo of Tom Hanks with several of the staff hangs proudly on the wall. George
