  1. Hey kids shake it loose together The spotlight's hittin' something that's been known to change the weather We'll kill the fatted calf tonight so stick around You're gonna hear electric music solid walls of sound George
  2. Thanks for the hint. Cavemen = troglodytes = Troggs Obviously not "Wild Thing," so it must be "Love Is All Around" George
  3. WW is up. (And in TV Mash up, as well) George
  4. I didn't think of this movie as a "coming of age" story, although most of the characters are young adults. Apparently, the producer and director saw it that way, however, and required the cast to watch a John Hughes marathon, in preparation for their roles. The main villain of the film has played villainous roles before (to some acclaim); but he is probably better remembered for portraying an iconic hero. In the comics, the hero spends a lot of time in introspection. Since thought balloons don't work in movies, and it would seem creepy for the character to talk to himself, he was given a handheld computer to take the place of half of his inner dialogue. CGI made the main character much more like the comic-book version of him in this movie than in previous movies. The star was 19 when cast, younger than the "old men" (25 and 26) who had the role, previously. George
  5. One of the other actors received an Oscar for the role. John Lithgow Louie Anderson Albert Finney Christian Slater Timothy Spall Robert Hardy Brendan Gleeson Gary Oldman Richard Burton Bob Hoskins Brian Cox Michael Gambon Gary Saderup Simon Ward George
  6. By the way, the pilot for Krypton is on tonight. A preview on SyFy showed that Brainiac will be the main villain, with a time-travelling Adam Strange helping Sig-el. Other spacefaring species will be seen, like the Thanagarians. I wonder if they'll ever throw in a Green Lantern, Tomar-re, perhaps? George
  7. Unlawful Entry Kurt Russell Guardians of the Galaxy II George
  8. I can almost "hear" it, too, but just not enough to place it. George
  9. I assumed you gave it to me as being the closest. Assuming I may continue, I didn't think of this movie as a "coming of age" story, although most of the characters are young adults. Apparently, the producer and director saw it that way, however, and required the cast to watch a John Hughes marathon, in preparation for their roles. 12. You can never truly be over a time traveler. George
  13. Hopefully, this will give it away: Jon Gries William Atherton Gabriel Jarret Michelle Meyrink Robert Prescott Patti D'Arbanville Val Kilmer George
  14. Die Another Day Halle Berry Swordfish George
  15. Interesting choice, but, no. More recent. Your logic is otherwise correct, however. George
  16. I suspect that we've all stretched the rules, once or twice. I didn't think of this movie as a "coming of age" story, although most of the characters are young adults. 18. Actors in the movie. Obviously, I didn't start with the EASY ones... George
  19. Jon Gries William Atherton Gabriel Jarret George
  20. Sandra Bullock is the actress. The first movie is "Miss Congeniality." The last movie is "Demolition Man." I can name a number of other movies she's been in, but I can't match them to the dialogue. George
  21. I admit, keeping up can be daunting. In addition to CW's five super-hero shows, Gotham, and Agents of SHIELD, I watch, weekly, NCIS (three versions), Bull, Designated Survivor, MacGiver, Timeless, Supernatural, Riverdale, Big Bang Theory, and Young Sheldon (and the shortly forthcoming Krypton). Add in cable series when they run (Suits, Strike Back, Outlander, Counterpart, the Alienist, and Ash vs. Evil Dead); and its amazing I get ANYTHING else done. I HAVE decided not to watch the current season of Legion, as the first season made no sense to me. George
  22. It was, indeed. I'm guessing that the "quit you" quote was the giveaway. George
  23. Could this be the original "Ocean's Eleven"? George
  24. A little too wild. "Tell you what... the truth is... sometimes I miss you so much I can hardly stand it." "Bottom line is... we're around each other an'... this thing, it grabs hold of us again... at the wrong place... at the wrong time... and we're dead." "I tell ya there... there were these two old guys ranched up together, down home. Earl and Rich. And they was the joke of town, even though they were pretty tough ol' birds. Anyway they... they found Earl dead in an irrigation ditch. Took a tire iron to 'im. Spurred him up, drug him 'round by his dick 'till it pulled off." "You seen this?" "I wasn't... nine years old. My daddy, he made sure me and brother seen it. Hell for all I know, he done the job." "Friend, that's more words than you've spoke in the past two weeks." "Hell, that's the most I've spoke in a year." "Anything interesting up there in heaven?" "I was just sending up a prayer of thanks." "For what?" "For you forgettin' to bring that harmonica. I'm enjoyin' the peace and quiet." "You know, your friend could come inside, have a cup of coffee..." "He's from Texas." "Texans don't drink coffee?" "I wish I knew how to quit you." "We can get together... once in a while, way the hell out in the middle of nowhere, but..." "Once in a while? Every four f---in' years?" "If you can't fix it, Jack, you gotta stand it." "For how long?" "For as long as we can ride it. There ain't no reins on this one." George
