  1. Sorry. Don't know this one, either. George
  2. I've seen a number of the cooking TV shows, but it's been several years, and they all seem to run together in my mind. George
  3. I haven't seen any "Despicable Me" movies, so I don't know any of the characters' names. George
  4. I loved the "puny god" part, but I think my favorite scene was a moment in the big battle where all of the Avengers briefly form a circle before heading back out to confront their targets. A very comic-book-y scene. George
  5. Well, one might suggest "Mad Men" for (D), although it would be ruled out if ONLY one of the main characters could be an ad executive. I would guess "Necessary Roughness" for (A). The main character was a psychotherapist, which I think counts as a psychiatrist. Both of these were cable network shows. Were we to consider only broadcast networks? George
  6. Congratulations! You stumped me again! George
  7. Yeah. The diner I used to eat at had a whiteboard with items "86"ed for the day. I guess you can refuse to serve something, if you don't have it. :-) George
  8. That must be Michael York's character in the Austin Powers movies, but I can't think of the character's name. George
  9. Sorry. It might be a song I heard often but never paid attention to the lyrics. Not ringing a bell, at all. George
  10. It's also possible I missed it, because I don't understand it. Let's try -- Deadpool? George
  11. Like a number of shows, over the years, this show was originally broadcast on one network, and then picked up by another. The main character's designation comes from old slang, meaning to refuse service to a customer. The name of one of the main characters is never given, even after she marries the main character. George (did I do this one already?)
  12. Boys, boys! Don't make me come over there!
  13. Don't know it, either. As for King Crimson, this was the first mention of them, for me, in forty years. I remember my college roommate talk about them. George
  14. Fine, but you still didn't give the answer. :-) FAYE DUNAWAY FREE POST! George
  15. Maybe this one will be open for three weeks, too. :-) George
  16. I would tend to agree with WW, here. For instance, the characters of NCIS appeared in an episode of JAG, but the purpose of that episode was to introduce the new series. (One of the JAG regulars, though, has recently appeared in a few episodes of NCIS: LA. Still, I wouldn't call that a spin-off.) On the other hand, I don't blame Human for using IMDb's lists. It's not as if one of us is going to peruse all of TV history to make up his own list. Anyway, it's a new year, and a FREE POST. Anyone up for it? George
  17. I would have thought that Bonnie Parker (as in, "Bonnie and Clyde") and Laura Mars were giveaways. The others are names of her characters in her more famous movies (not necessarily with her as the star), so I doubt that running up any others, from obscure films, would help. If no one gets it by tomorrow, I'll give the answer and toss it up. George

  19. I knew it was one of those British blokes... Wanna tell about my baby Lord, you know she comes around About five feet four From her head to the ground George
  20. I think the title is "Jean," but I can't remember the artist. Oliver, maybe? George
