"Ferris Buehler's Day Off" I wouldn't have gotten it from that quote, except that it was used before... :) As I recall, I opposed your enlistment in Starfleet. It is possible that judgment was incorrect. George

It was obviously memorable enough that WW and I could recite the whole dialogue. :) George

You said I have a plethora of piñatas. Why would you say that, if you do not know what a plethora is? George

Now troubles are many, they're as deep as a well. I can swear there ain't no heaven but I pray there ain't no hell. George

Pretty much everyone except Spielberg had the runs. Food poisoning was suspected, since Spielberg was the only one eating his own food. Maybe he just didn't drink the water. Anyway, you're up. George

"Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?" by Chicago(?) George

Belushi's and Aykroyd's characters lived next-door to each other... George

Really? And just what IS a plethora, Jefe? ;) George

It wasn't clear. Let's just say, abdominal distress. George

But he was in more than two. In this one (not "1941"), he plays a rather straight-laced man, and Aykroyd was a nut job. George

I must admit to having seen few Bogey flicks. I think that this one is "Casablanca." George

People considered for the lead role in this blockbuster include Jeff Bridges, Nick Nolte, Steve Martin, Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Tim Matheson, Nick Mancuso, Peter Coyote, Tom Selleck, and Jack Nicholson. Almost everyone involved during the shooting of the film got food poisoning, except the director, who ate Spaghetti-Os. George

Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! George Until the movie came out, I hadn't realized that "Beetlejuice" is the pronunciation of the star Betelgeuse. I always thought it was something like "Baytelghice."

Should I say it three times? George

It's just as well. My next guess would have been "Some Like It Hot." :) George

and, perhaps, Michael Keaton? George

Similar humor, and around the same time, but different movie. Starred John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. George

The "makeup" that they used for Ebsen was essentially aluminum powder in oil, which they sprayed on him. He inhaled it, causing severe lung damage. He was actually in an iron lung for some time, afterwards. The movie trade magazines simply reported "The role of the Tin Woodsman is now acted by Jack Haley>" No mention of nearly killing Ebsen. Apparently, makeup was a problem for the other actors, as well. Margaret Hamilton's (the Witch) makeup caught fire in the second take of the her disappearance in a ball of flame and smoke. George

Now that you gave the title, it does seem VAGUELY familiar. George

"Now, I'm just going to go under the covers and take a little inventory. Promise you won't go away." "You're really wonderful!" "That's what I've been trying to tell you. Is it so hard having your fantasies come to life?" "And that is where you saw her mammae." "Her mammal?" "Her honkers, Earl." "She dropped the towel." "Did she drop it, or did you psychically will it to fall?" "We're waiting, or do I have to pound it out of you?" "Don't ever speak to me like that in my own house!" "Why would I?" "You just did." "I didn't mean anything - it's just something a guy says." "I never say it." "I don't blame you." "Stay here on the outer limits of the dead end zone? Nothing personal, but life at the end of the road just ain't for Captain Vic and Empress Ramona. Sorry folks, but you can color us gone." "You should have slipped it through the mail slot while you had the chance, Earl." "Ramona and I haven't eaten all day. We could eat a baby's butt through a park bench." George
