  1. Sorry. I just don't see it. I'm preparing for a tomorrow! George
  2. "Twist and Shout" (Not the first line) It's been the ruin of many a poor boy; and, Lord, I know I'm one. George
  3. Actually, it was FIELD of Dreams, but, OK :) George
  4. New clues notwithstanding, I'm still clueless. George
  5. Identifying song titles is easy: "Name That Tune". I seem to remember one where the beginning of a line was given, and the contestant had to finish it correctly, but I can't remember the name of the show. I've done the "light lifting." If someone else gets the other part of WW's answer, he/she can go ahead with the next clue. George
  6. I'm guessing that the two sentences represent two movies with a common word in their titles. Not exactly the way this thread was designed, but OK. I just don't recognize either movie (or TV show). George
  7. His Girl Friday Cary Grant North by Northwest George
  8. Well, there were at least two of these films. Let's try "Every Way But Loose." George
  9. It's a Clint Eastwood film. Clyde is an orangutan. Can't remember the title, though. George
  10. We've had enough fun with this one. Yes, Elvis did the more revered version of "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" I'm not good at embedding, but here are links to Note that this is the CLEAN Kinison version (from the Tonight Show)! :) George
  11. This is the sort of quote that this thread is about. Never saw the movie, but it's clearly "Taxi Driver" Say hello to my little friend! George
  12. "Supernatural" often involves mystic relics. "Lost Girl" also involves about one new artifact an episode. I haven't watched ANY of the newer vampire/werewolf/monster shows, so I don't know if they fit. I was also thinking of "Special Unit 2" and "The Chronicle," but they were more about the idea of goblins and trolls and urban legends being actually true than being about mystic artifacts. If anyone else has some, pop in. Otherwise,I'll turn it over to WordWolf. George
  13. How many (fiction) shows can you name which prominently feature mystic artifacts or relics? About five come to my mind immediately. Also, I mean more than one artifact. A single, mystic sword doesn't count. Here are a few: Friday the 13th Warehouse 13 Relic Hunter Any more? George
  14. Natalie Wood Gypsy Rosalind Russell George
  15. "Gomer Pyle, USMC" Here's a slightly different tack: How many (fiction) shows can you name which prominently feature mystic artifacts or relics? About five come to my mind immediately. Also, I mean more than one artifact. A single, mystic sword doesn't count. George
  16. Yes! Not your typical Christmas movie, but appropriate, I think. George
  17. Does your memory stray to a brighter summer day When I kissed you and called you sweetheart? Do the chairs in your parlor seem empty and bare? Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there? Honey, you lied when you said you loved me And I had no cause to doubt you. But I'd rather go on hearing your lies Than go on living without you. Now the stage is bare and I'm standing there With emptiness all around And if you wont come back to me Then make them bring the curtain down. This was a big hit for a very famous singer. Sam Kinison did a version which was (as you might guess) hysterical. George
