  1. I can't think of a particularly obvious one that hasn't been used before. FREE POST George
  2. I know the first half, it's the latter that I'm not sure of. "Rain Man on Fire"? George
  3. I know I've seen this. "A Few Good Men"? George
  4. Oprah Winfrey and Whoopi Goldberg meet Prince in the story of a troubled black girl's rise in the music world. George
  5. I'm not sure I have the second movie correct, but it's something like Three Men and a Baby: Legend of a Dinosaur George
  6. Hook Robin Williams The World According to Garp George
  7. It was the crucified angel that triggered the memory, and then the Duran Duran reference. You're right, though. Other than a young, occasionally naked Jane Fonda, there's not a lot to recommend the film. "For what I am about to receive, may I make myself truly thankful." "He can't forget being rejected by his mother and father at the age of 11. They sent him away, alone, into a primitive community of licensed bullies and pederasts." "You mean he went to public school." "Exactly." George
  8. Right-o! George (This was meant to corroborate Raf's answer, but he posted again before this went up.)
  9. I tried to "sub-cheat" by googling his pictures, rather than info on his name. Unfortunately, one of the pictures that popped up immediately showed him in a scene from another film. I suspect that it's the "very well-known" movie and not the "ridiculously well-known" one. Anyway, I'm putting myself in the penalty box. If no one has an answer in the next day or so, I'll pop in. George
  10. The heir to the British throne, as a young lad, surves an airplane crash in Africa, and is protected by a talking ape. He is brought back to civilization years later, and claims the throne. His adventures, however, have left him a bit demented. George
  11. "Hope Springs" is correct. It seemed to be more of a "chick flick," but the woman I was on a date with didn't want to see "The Expendables 2." ;) As with most films I have low expectations for, "Hope Springs" was actually quite entertaining. It was no "Traxx," mind you, but... George
  12. That will be fine. Here's another hint: If the title had one more word, one might expect it to be "Eternal." George
  13. "The Flintstones" was based on this (non-cartoon) show. George
  14. Perhaps "Have Gun, Will Travel"? (As I recall, the main character was Paladin. I think my grandmother called the show "Paladin"... George
  15. Sadly, not even a single word was correct. This movie is about a married couple. George
  16. I saw it, myself, about a month ago. Hint: Steve Carrell appears in a non-comedy role. George
  17. Seems familiar, but I can't place it. George
  18. Morgan Freeman The Bucket List Jack Nicholson George
  19. Interesting guess, but no, not close. Hint: The term "guys" in one of the exchanges is generic. It doesn't mean two men. 1. "Arnold, do you have fantasies?" 2. "Threesomes" 1. "With?" 2. "Carol" 3. "Carol with the corgis?" "So what'd you guys get each other?" "Yeah, 31, what gift is that? Silver? Ivory?" "Oh! We got each other the new, uh, cable subscription." "Oh great..." "It's a lot of channels." "We're doing so good we might even be able to get out of here early. OK, next step, what is it? Write a poem? Hold hands in public? Sing a serenade?" "It's sex." [whispers] "You know we should just get our things and go." George
