  1. I'd answer, but then I'd feel compelled to post another one... George
  2. "All nine, all the time." Of course, this was never taken literally; one can't speak in tongues and prophesy simultaneously, for instance. Still, it set a standard that none of the apostles achieved! George
  3. For a STRONG hint, take a look at waysider's latest post on this thread. George
  4. "Engine efficiency is down another fifteen percent. If we don't get more power to the warp drive, we're all going to have to get out and push." "Now I know how Hippocrates felt when the King needed him to trim a hangnail." "I will never cease to be amazed at the Human capacity for hyperbole." George
  5. Tell me what you think about VPW, and I'll tell you how far gone you are spiritually! ;) George
  6. Since fornication and adultery are both sins, that hardly matters. What was the big misdirection (IMHO) was trying to make every reference to fornication an account of spiritual fornication (i.e., idolatry). Hey, VP, why would God use (physical) fornication to represent idolatry if fornication weren't wrong, too? George
  7. Gee, I wonder what this one could be. Could it be "SPACE SEED"? George :)
  8. Too bad I didn't get it from your first clue. It's more keeping with the theme of this thread! I'll try to come up with another soon. George
  9. I believe VP explained this as God "winking" at his ignorance, as he did for Gideon. When VP became "more spiritually mature," such phenomenal evidence was no longer necessary. George
  10. Nerd/Louis ER/docs write diary/journal ?? George
  11. Interesting. I thought I was the only one who even remembered Malcolm McDowall's version of Roarke, much less remebered it fondly! George
  12. You would be right. After the first duh-umm, there's a marching band, and after the second, Raymond Burr. You're up, Steve!. George
  13. More specifically, that's the NG episode, "Relics," featuring Scottie, who has been in a transporter buffer for about 75 years. My favorite line is Data's, when Scottie tries to get a real drink in 10 Forward. Data pulls out an old bottle. Scottie asks him what it is, and he says, "It is...green." A clever homage to Scottie's line in the OS episode "By Any Other Name." Steve! is up. George
  14. My previous employer did not allow smoking on grounds. (As it was a major chemical manufacturing site, this was not unwarranted.) I knew several employees who made "perimeter checks" a couple of times a day. ;) George
  15. Sounds vaguely familiar, but I can't place it. George
  16. So, I guess "the next couple of days" was a little over three hours? George And Mega-dittoes to you! You're a great American! George
  17. As was I. I suppose I COULD HAVE wheedled, whined, groveled, and promised never to say or even imply that a the MOG or any mini-MOG could possibly be wrong. Then they MIGHT have taken me back. I did tithe, after all. George
  18. Yeah. How ARE you doing these days? George
  19. Yes, as I posted at the top of this page. ;) Raf got the correct movie before Steve! spelled it out for him, so it's Raf's turn! George
  20. Charlie's Angels Lucy Liu Kill Bill, Vol. 1 George
