  1. Yeah, WG. This isn't the prayer thread, but I'm saying an extra one for you and yours today. :) George

Well, since taking bonuses isn't illegal, here's an idea... How about making all the Senators and Representatives who voted for the bill allowing the bonuses to pay for them? (While we're at it, we should include the President, since he signed it into law.) George
  3. Ummmm. lemme think. "Leave it to Beaver"? no... "Home Improvement"? ;) no... "Dennis the Menace" George
  4. Well, obviously, it's not the width of the screen that's the problem. I don't know why I should open a document or picture, though, and not see it as it should look, sitting on a part of the screen, instead of the whole screen. My friends at work think I'll need a new video card. I'm thinking a different monitor... George

He'll just bring a teleprompter next time. George
  6. I really enjoyed this version of BG, though, personally, I think the final episode of Babylon 5 was better. This one did tie up some loose ends, though it may have loosened some others! If I recall the original series correctly, there were no live daggets (essentially, dogs), but a robotic one was made for the boy, Boxey. George
  7. My 10-yr old CRT monitor was on its last legs, so I broke down and bought a Samsung P2070 flatscreen. Apparently, they just don't make monitors with my accustomed aspect ratio anymore. Naturally, when I hooked it up, everything looked fat. I tried to adjust settings in the Display screen, but the monitor says the optimum setting is 1600X900, and the closest I can get is 1152X864. The driver CD was useless. Can anyone out there help? I find this very annoying, but I hope it's a simple fix. Thanks, George

No, it's actually because I was giving a second-hand account. I had heard that the "r-word" was used. I don't like the President enough to watch him on Leno. George

I presume tht this is about Pres. Obama referring to his bowling skill as "retarded" on the Tonight Show. Was it "insensitive"? Maybe, but it's hardly a big deal. Now if a Republican had said it... George
  10. Don't forget that their three weapons are fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, and fanatical allegiance to VPW...no, make that FOUR weapons... ;) George
  11. Just guessing here, but maybe the TWI ups didn't consider music a career, just a hobby? George
  12. WayGB is apparently a recession-proof job! George
  13. You can blame the dinosaur/human coexistence confusion on the media, as well. How many films, cartoons, etc., portray them together? In fact, text books until probably the late 70's had them together. And how closely did they have to approximate the water coverage? George
  14. All right, here's an easy one: Two pics George
  15. How about opening it up? Maybe a lurker will jump in! George
  16. Now that you name it, I remember it; but it wasn't one I was going to get with "just one line." :) George
  17. Sounds awfully familiar, but I just can't place it. George
  18. I'm not all that familiar with Harry Potter stuff, so one word I'm not to sure of. Harry Potter and the Scent (?) of the Phoenix George
  19. Tonight I'm gonna meet her at the Hungry House Cafe And I'm gonna give her all the love I can, yes I am! George
  20. "Spooky" by the Classics IV? George
  21. "Come a Little Bit Closer" by Jay and the Americans. When the night has come, and the land is dark George
  22. It's been so long since I've seen GB&U that I don't know if it fits my description, but that's not what I had in mind. This was a much more recent film. George
