  1. Getting closer, but still earlier than SofSF. George
  2. I've probably seen about two of the "Best Pictures" in the last 20 years. They're usually artsy and boring. So, I may well have heard of this film, I doubt I've seen it. George
  3. Sorry, Oen. I have a little trouble following this. Maybe if you could use "Person A," Person B," etc., I could get a better feel for who was tormenting whom and who admires whom. George
  4. It could be one that smells nice (Paloma is a family of colognes). And aren't we "WAG"ging now? ;) George
  5. I only see two, a honeycomb and an engine. George
  6. Nope. "A Quinn Martin Production." "Yeah, yeah, yeah! I killed her!" "Why?" " 'Cause she wouldn't let me go! Liked to've clawed my eyes out! I didn't mean to hit her so hard. Yeah, I killed her! Now I'm gonna kill YOU. Won't hafta worry about you again, no more!" [but Johnson is, instead, shot dead.] "All right, you can relax now, Chandler. I just did your killing for you. You've had a great day, haven't you? I guess we both have. After all, for 4 years, now, we - BOTH of us - kept an innocent man in hell. But how are we going to end that? You can keep that man alive. But you won't, will you?" "It's not an unusual occurrence, any psychiatrist will tell you so. I've spoken at length about it to several of them. It's the only way he can live with his own conscience." "You're certain of that." "Yes, I am." "I'm afraid I can't help you, Lieutenant." "But you would if you could." "Where is he?" "He's gone." "Ellie, I want a straight answer. Where is he?" "I don't know." "You lost him." "I guess I have. But it makes it worthwhile. You lost him, too." George
  7. "Those are birds." "Bur... Bur!" "Look! He's trying to talk." "Bur!" "He's trying to say "bird."" "Say "bird."" "Bur." "Bird." "Bur!" "Uh-uh. Bir-duh!"" "Come on, say "bird." Say "bird!"" "Bird!" "Well! What's the matter with them?" "Why are they acting that way?" "Why, don't you know? They're twitterpated." George
  8. Isn't that essentially how he behaved, anyway? George
  9. Let me rephrase. Is ANYONE coming Friday night? If it's only a few people, that's fine, but so far, I haven't heard from anyone saying he will be here. George
  10. I'd guess "Can I Touch You," but I don't know of any movie by that name. George
  11. Yep. Sci-fi, and a pretty old one. George

  13. Got it in one! You're up, Steve!! George
  14. "It's good to see you, sweetheart." "You contemptible pig! I remained celibate for you. I stood at the back of a cathedral, waiting, in celibacy, for you, with three hundred friends and relatives in attendance. My uncle hired the best Romanian caterers in the state. To obtain the seven limousines for the wedding party, my father used up his last favor with Mad Pete Trullo. So for me, for my mother, my grandmother, my father, my uncle, and for the common good, I must now kill you, and your brother." "You boys could use a little churching up. Slide on down to the Triple Rock, and catch Rev. Cleophus. You boys listen to what he's got to say." "What was I gonna do? Take away your only hope? Take away the very thing that kept you going in there? I took the liberty of bull---tting you." "You lied to me." "Wasn't lies, it was just... bull---t." George
  15. Yes. We first meet the Ferengi and learn about their clothing habits. Picard says, "Merde." when the Enterprise is stuck in a force field no matter what he tries. Go, WW. George

  17. As long as the answer is "yes," I can wait! George
  18. OK, fine. SHH + YAWN + GLOVE + DUH + TED = "Shaun of the Dead." George
  19. Well, I saved my pennies and I saved my dimes For I knew there would be a time George
  20. That's not how I would do it, but there are few "wrong" ways to do these! three pics, need a name George
  21. Okay. How many of you are actually planning to come down FRIDAY NIGHT? I've got about 20 for Saturday. My assumption was that most of you would also be here for the"pre-party," but now I'm not so sure. The Countess and I need to know how many to prepare for, so please let me know ASAP (preferably here, but a PM will do). Thanks, George
  22. P.S. I've been getting a lot of PM's for the address. It's 4822 Cloverfield Dr, Pearland TX. To avoid the traffic on FM 518 (Broadway St.), the best way to get here from Houston is to take SH 288 south to Beltway 8. Save yourself a toll by taking the eastbound feeder (access) road to the second stoplight (Cullen Blvd). Turn right (south) and go on Cullen until you pass FM 518. The next stoplight is Fite St. (also called Doherty Rd.). Turn left (east). At the first intersection, turn right (Meadowhurst), then take the first left (Meadowglen), then the first right (Cloverfield). We're the sixth house on the right. Alternatively, you can take 288 to 518, go east through about 20 stoplights to Cullen, turn right, etc. If you're coming from west of Houston, the Sam Houston tollway around town (south) is probably fastest. Go past 288 and exit at Cullen. George
