  1. Actually, I'll be on a business trip for the next couple of days. I assume from Raf's post that the quote is his, but someone else will have to post another. George
  2. I know it's a Beatles tune, but I can't think of the title. And I'll be away from computers for a couple of days, anyway. George
  3. I agree with most of your post, including the part about forgiveness. I believe, however, that you're prejudicing your post by implying that only those who have forgiven and continue on in a Christian life are "successfully moving on." I'm sure that the atheists and agnostics here feel strongly that they have "successfully moved on." Ditto those Christians who continue to rail against the evils of TWI. George

There's quite a spread of prices for regular here. Some places still charge over $1.60, but I saw the first one today below $1.40. Merry Christmas! George

  6. Must be. Of course, America did it first. George
  7. This is a translation. In 1815, M. Charles Francois-Bienvenu Myriel was Bishop of D--. He was a man of 75, and had occupied the bishopric of D-- since 1806. Although it in no manner concerns, even in the remotest degree, what we have to relate, it may not be useless, were it only for the sake of exactness in all things, to notice here the reports and gossip which had arisen on his account from the time of his arrival in the diocese. George
  8. Go ahead and answer it, Raf. I don't think youve posted one in a while. George
  9. These quotes will make it more obvious. "Doctor, the ship's temperature is becoming increasingly cold. I've adjusted the temperature in my quarters to 125 degrees which is at least tolerable, and..." "Well, I can see I'm not gonna make any house calls on you!" "I was wondering if there was something which could lower my sensitivity to cold." "I'm not a magician. Just an old country doctor." "Yes, as I always suspected." "Send a message to Starfleet Command. Code Two." "But..." "CODE TWO!" "I don't know what's causing it. Virus, bacteria or evil spirits, but I'm trying to find out." "I fail to understand why my orders are repeatedly being questioned!" George

  17. Yes, it is. BONNIE Hunt + ANKLE + HIDE = "Bonnie and Clyde." I'll come up with one soon. George
  18. "American Made" by the Oak Ridge Boys: Seems everything I buy these days Has got a foreign name From the kind of car I drive To my video game I got a NIKKON camera A Sony color Tee Vee But the one that I love is from the U.S.A. And standing next to me. My baby is American Made Born and bred in the U.S.A. From her silky long hair to her sexy long legs My baby is American Made. She looks good in her tight blue jeans She bought in Mexico And she loves wearing French perfume Everywhere we go But when it comes to the lovin' part One thing is true My baby's genuine U.S.A. George
  19. Remember, this thread should be about the first line from a song. But, it was definitely memorable from that one line! George
