I've been known to post some obscure films, but I have no idea what this one is. Ca D, would you let us know what decade this picture appeared? George

Dooj, I don't know if you're kidding, too; but here's a hint: what's Vanessa's LAST name? George

Well, it took about five tries, but I finally got WMV as my default. (QT is VERY reluctant to relinquish control!) All's well. George

Interesting that Country isn't listed as one of the musical styles, although the High Country Trio is one of the groups! George

Duh, What is the name of the site to check facts

I usually use the Urban Legends site on About.com: Urban Legends Just type some keywords in the search box in the upper right part of the page. I haven't used www.snopes.com, but I understand that it's also good. George -
Well, you got "Thea" right. George
-
No. They used QuickTime to view some video files, but we've had QT loaded for a while. I just don't have it as the default media player. George

There are different levels of trust. Do I trust that GSC'ers are who they say they are? Sure. (No, "Pond" isn't a pond, and "Excathedra" isn't a dogmatic statement -- at least not usually. I believe what they have written about themselves.) Would I send another GSC'er $500 if he/she promised to pay it back? Probably not. On the other hand, I do trust the others with my name and location. That means I trust that none of you would try to steal my identity or torch my house. George

I knew it sounded familiar! :) George

Kathy, I haven't had trouble with WMP until this week (after the kids left). George

Sudo, My stepkids were here, and I think they screwed up my media player. I had had Windows Media Player set as my default player, but now when I click on links like yours, it comes up in QuickTime in a Windows Explorer window. I've checked File Types for both WMP and QT, and all the default settings are WMP. Any ideas? George

I'm glad everyone likes this puzzle. How about someone ANSWERING it? George

Hope you have a great one, Great One! George

Eagle, Didn't you post at least a few of these last year? I definitely remember discussing my views on seed of the serpent, possessed Christians, and four crucified. The originator of that thread got mad at me for stating my views (which pretty much align with TWI in those regards) until I pointed out that he had ASKED for our opinions in the first place! (It was either you or The Evan; you were both using the same avatar back then.) Don't consider it being "flamed" if someone disagrees with you. George P.S. Hi, Countess! Welcome to Greasespot! Have we met?

The first two pics will give the title away, but what the heck. You may remember the second woman from one of my previous posts. George

Okay. D + ABOMINABLE (snowman) + DOCTOR + VIBES = "The Abominable Dr. Phibes." Vincent Price as a vengeance-crazed doctor going after those who had injured him. He was supposedly wearing a mask, so he never moved his lips while talking, as a microphone in his throat was where the sound was supposed to come from. He had a "clockwork orchestra" and a rathr fetching henchwoman, Vulnavia. I'll post a new one this evening. George

CA Dreaming, Though the second picture looks like Harry from that movie, it's a sound clue, not a key to the movie's theme. Good to have you playing! :) George

I love it! One of those cheesy horror films from the early 70's. I'll answer if no one else gets it before tomorrow. George

POUR + YETI + DOCTOR + MARIMBA = ? (Of course, the last pic could be a xylophone, though the bars appear to be metal, not wood.) George

I REALLY think we need another line.... George

Doesn't take me back. :) How about another line? George

I can name that show in one note! :) George

Wasn't it Captain Midnight who had the secret decoder rings? George
