it's been a long time but if i remember correctly they always taught that the only cause worth supporting monitarily was "moving the word over the world" at least that was the line back in the mid to late 80's i kinda wish i was still around whenever it was that they made the big announcement that "at this time, the word was already over the world" then see how fast i can run after asking "does this mean you no longer need 10% of my gross pay?" Wah Wah Wah Wah Wah!

one time i got free tix to go see a show at the Trump Castle in Atlantic City so i took this girl from twig with me we had a pretty good time until one of the acts in the show, an illusionist started his magic act jeez you'd have thought the guy was the devil himself the last thing i want to do is insult anyone's beleiving so i thought i better not say that the whole thing is done with mirrors! somehow i don't think she would have believed me anyway put this one in your things NOT to do on dates with true beleivers file!

oakspear sure had it right in the post of 3-15-05 at about 3:00 PM. our state Pennsylvania was one of those places which kinda got the boot from TWI right after a whole bunch of in residence Way Corps people came back with quietly told stories of loyalty oaths and 3:00 AM wake up calls for signing off on same i was too shall we say, unstructured to join Way Corps so i can't really say first hand about the loyalty oath thing however, when the people who were there told their stories i'm sure that me and my wife's bullshot detectors weren't the only ones that shot right off the chart!! either they taught us too well or we all learned too well that any so called "loyalty oath" was supposed to be between the individual and God alone. not to any person or group of people or anything else and also that such loyalty was much more in the heart than on paper. of course being out of the loop as we were the only way i learned any of this is by talking with former corps people who claimed these things happened so there we were in Pennsylvania with a whole bunch of way corp people who were instantly re-assigned by the top leadership as Corp grads no more limb, branch, territory, area or even twig co-ordinaters just corps grads. but since they were the divil we knew (so to speak) everybody else just sort of went along with the same things we were doing and the man who was limb leader was still leading the state but not under the auspices of TWI these days the people who were real big in TWI in PA are now doing pretty much the same things that they were doing then but after TWI they all went for Chris Geer's stuff real big me and my wife even took the class that Chris Geer made called Walking in God's Power which is pretty much the PFAL class without the jokes. weird thing right before we took the new class we had to fill out some kind of form about going to fellowship and what not. i asked what's all this for and the fellow running the class said something like the top leadership doesn't want someone down the line to take and do these classes as a bootleg version or something if they go off the word or something like that. i didn't have the heart to ask him that since were in our present condition because of LCM going off the deep end who's to say the same thing won't happen to CG somewhere down the road? then what do we do? this is why we don't go to their meetings like we used to. too much politics. its not so bad when you can avoid the petty stuff but unfortunatly sometimes it just sucks the life out of a person the thing that gets to me is when we go to a meeting or fellowship with people and we ask about someone we haven't seen in a while and all of a sudden the crowd gets all hushed and someone will say oh you don't want to go talking to that person why not? and here's the kicker: they can't bring themselves to tell you so right away there you are thinking all manner of evil about some schmoe who could have been your own brother some time ago but now he's persona non grata as far as all these folks are concerned. and YOU don't even know WHY!! not too fun this is why i can probably relate so readily to those of you who were what they called M&A from TWI. they didn't have M&A per se when me and Mrs. me were "in" but the effect was about the same.

oh yeah one more thing if you want to join our secret club you gotta believe God hard enough to pony up the tuition don't forget that!!

what's to critique? on its surface the pfal class (all 3 of them) are a take it or leave it proposition Notice i say on its surface the thing that always got my goat about these classes was that they were always being used as sort of an initiation to some secret club of GRADS of which you too can join if you want to be enlightened and fully instructed or whatever one time i got somebody mad at me for teaching a person how to speak in tounges before he was done with the class but after seeing how happy the guy was the first person wasn't so mad at me anymore she even apologized to me for getting mad at me in the first place so who says there are no happy endings in TWI? yes it's true i really loved most of the people i met in TWI the only ones i ever had a problem with were the real hard-liners types but in all fairness i think i was probably a nightmare for those same hard-line folks too so it all evens out in the end

well mdvaden i guess this thread didn't turn out like you thought eh? oh well i think it's pretty amazing how fast one guy can go from being regarded as a kindly gent who's all about doing God's will to being considered a confidence arteest who's only objective is to make a fast buck in the religion racket hero one minute bum the next it's just like playing major league baseball in Philadelphia!!

wordwolf i would'nt worry about any internut forum being used as a recruiting tool for any kind of off shoot group no offshoot group hater would let it stand without challenge long enough for that to happen anyway i don't think offshoot group fans like to be referred to as offshoot or splinter groups of TWI. it wouldn't sit well with me if i was still a big time die hard follower i mean look at how anything that has a TWI trademark gets completely obliterated or at least swept under the rug by these guys with the exception of course of Dr Weirwille's teachings stopping just short of saying if Dr Weirwille said it it must be so

hey wasn't someone who calls himself uncle hairy looking for a whoop-a$$ story this one here is pretty good

i always took the attitude that you never know who you'll meet door to door so even though i never actually got anybody to take any classes or anything sometimes i could have a good time with it when people come and do the same to me these days lots of times i chat with them for a while so far though nothing has ever been said by any of them to cause me to question any beliefs i hold but i'm glad that i don't have to simply kick them out which is what i probably would do if i was never expected to do the same thing myself i dont have too many funny witnessing stories most of the funniest door to door stories i have come from when i was a kid selling things door to door. personally i get no end of kicks out of them but i'd say that for the most part you had to be there

how true i remember all too well certain people who seemed to think that the devil was so difficult to overcome it was enough to make a person wonder who's more powerful God or the devil one thing was abundantly clear however if something bad happened to YOU then YOU missed revelation from God or YOUR believeng wasn't strong enough or some other damned thing but if something bad happened to THEM then the devil was out to get them because of how great THEY are and all as i understand it things like this got even worse long after i quit going to twig regularly no wonder people voted with their feet in droves
