  1. wow-well, I didn't know that ! feel free to reveal the answer
  2. Wordwolf's comment was over my head-I am curious what the reference means
  3. It's not the Bundy's either. the last quote was a repeated catch phrase. I'll post another clue later with another catch phrase that will give it away. "Everything you own is on that bed" "Let this be on your head"
  4. no Huxtables "everything you've ever owned is on that bed" "let this be on your head"
  5. "everything you've ever owned is on that bed"
  6. not the first line ,but... "but it's all right now, I've learned my lesson well"
  7. just a guess, but that sounds like a Dragnet exchange between Jack Webb, and Harry Morgan
  8. It's not so bad in Yankeeland either.
  9. I'll be watching the LL game today, though it seems like there's always some kid who looks about 16, 6 ft tall and needs a shave, throwing wild heat against some little kid who's helmet is twice the size of his head. Still, Williamsport rocks.
  10. Toody and Muldoon couldn't last 10 minutes outside of the Bronx.
  11. well, not to defend a dopey sitcom-but there were aspects of 'Beaver' that reflected 'real life' better than most shows. Mostly from the dysfunctional friends and neighbors. The evil Eddie Haskell, charming to the parents while torturing Beaver. Overweight Larry, who is always eating , and getting Beaver to do the wrong thing. Lumpy and his equally pathetic father. Beaver's parents may have been too good to be true, but every other parent in town seemed to be beating or threatening their kids. I also like Beaver and Wally, until Beaver's voice changed which made him sort of 'creepy'.
  12. "Locomotive Breath"-Jethro Tull now I gotta rack my brain to think of one "He had white horses, and ladies by the score"
  13. DON'T CALL ME CHIEF.....! I'll try to have a new one soon. If anyone cares to jump in, be my guest.
  14. They'd play "Good morning Lord", along with 'Beautiful Ohio", making sure no one got enough sleep. One night I worked that bridge on the main road to the parking lot, during an incredible rainstorm, 'directing' traffic and people across it after the program, where amazingly no one was killed. I was drenched and had to stay there all night before being relieved around 6 am. I stumbled into my sleeping bag, only to be met with "Good morning , Lord", and drifted off to sleep cursing the music, the humidity, the flies, the corps, and anything else I could think of.
  15. For me, it all started to go bad when it moved to HQ, and everything was 'controlled'. I loved the Sydney Fairgrounds, with the aged wooden structures that would never pass later 'standards', the little store a few steps from the gate, where the locals could yell at you, and the sense of genuine 'fellowship', such as joining small groups playing music, etc. I was also new to the way then, and hadn't been ground down by it's many forces yet. It was actually FUN.
  16. well, I would, but I'm still having problems uploading a photo on another thread, for some unknown reason-let alone cobbling together pics for this game. One of these days I'll adapt to the 21st century
  17. beats me what I'm doing wrong. I'm attaching the picture right from my files-it says it's attached, then doesn't show up. yes, the Giants fans are quite amusing, all things considered.
  18. I keep trying to upload Bill Veeck's leg-and failing for some reason
